Chapter 664: Missing One Baby

Only after being reminded by her son did Lady Jian remember this matter; she had been too clever for her own good.

"Um, I'll go call the doctor."

What if, after she left, Shi Youxuan spoke to her daughter-in-law about the choice between saving the mother or the child?

Shi Youxuan planned to wait until Lady Jian left before going back in to see her sister.

She sat in the hallway for a long time, but Lady Jian did not come out; feeling guilty like a thief, Lady Jian came over to greet her a few times with a sheepish smile, and although she did not say it explicitly, the meaning behind her words was to tell her to go home.

Shi Youxuan did not leave, so she could not leave either, keeping a strict watch.

Her reason for objecting was absurd—she was worried that when Shi Youxuan took photos, the flash on her phone would dazzle and harm the babies' eyes.

This matter was kept from Wan'er; she had just finished surgery and could not withstand such a huge shock.
