Chapter 933: Effective Parenting
The children ran off to play, happily yet cautiously.
Nianyin admired her eldest sister immensely.
"Eldest sister, you are so amazing; all four children are so obedient in front of you. I must learn from you."
Shi Youxuan was not polite at all: "If you want to learn from me, there is plenty to learn; go wash the children's dirty clothes now."
"You got it!"
She agreed happily, picked up the clothes, and went to the laundry room.
Shi Youxuan followed behind, and sure enough—she opened the large washing machine and was about to throw them in!
"Stop, this washing machine is for washing adults' clothes; the children's clothes cannot be put in there."
She pointed to the wall-mounted one on the wall: "Use this one."
"Okay."
Nianyin put the clothes in and turned to leave.
"Come back."
Shi Youxuan called her back: "Although technology is very advanced now, it hasn't reached the point where you can just put clothes inside and they automatically get clean without giving any instructions."
"How do I do it? Sister, teach me."
Shi Youxuan taught her the correct way to use the washing machine; she was very smart and learned it in one go.
Nianyin had never done these things from childhood to adulthood.
It didn't matter if she didn't know before, but as a mother, one needs to know that taking care of children requires learning many new skills.
Three days later.
Having returned for these three days, the one who improved the fastest was Nianyin.
She learned to use the high-speed blender and the juicer, and could cook fresh rice paste and make mixed fruit juice for the Baobao.
She also learned to use the washing machine and help the children change their clothes.
She even learned how to perform pediatric massage for the Baobao.
Wang Yinghao praised her: "Nianyin is truly wonderful, even smarter than our Xuanxuan; no matter what it is, she learns it as soon as she is taught."
Being praised did not make her happy; instead, she looked distressed and asked: "Auntie, when will days like these ever end?"
Wang Yinghao:...
End?
That is still a long way off.
Although Nianyin learned quickly, three days of time had already exhausted all her patience.
From the initial freshness to boredom in taking care of children, it actually only takes one day!
The remaining two days were pure torment, and today she simply could not endure it anymore.
"I'm going out to practice a set of boxing."
For someone who spends all day wielding knives and sticks, being cooped up at home playing a "virtuous wife and mother" for three days was the limit; if she didn't do something she liked, she would go crazy!
The set of movements was fluid and natural.
The children clapped and cheered, all very envious.
Especially Yulong and Sheng Zihan; the two boys thought it was too cool, were very envious and fond of it, and wanted to learn.
"Mother, teach me."
"Auntie, teach me."
"Come, you two follow me." Nianyin was in high spirits and did a backflip quite casually.
"Plop—"
Sheng Zihan sat on the ground, landing on his bottom.
"Plop—"
Yulong also fell solidly to the ground.
"Bang!"
He was too close to the steps, and the back of his head hit the step.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh..."
It hurt a lot, and Yulong wailed loudly.
Meiyin disdained doing such dangerous movements; she was scared just looking at it and had long since hidden far away.
But she saw that the back of Yulong's head was bleeding; it had been cut open.
So she also let out a "Wah—" and cried: "Boo-hoo-hoo, he's bleeding."
The adults were in a flurry.
Yulong was sent to the hospital to check his injuries and get a tetanus shot.
Fortunately, it was only a scrape and nothing serious, but somehow Gu Zhihao found out about this incident.
He rushed to the hospital in a panic, sweating profusely, and roared at Lao Qi: "You all went too far; you snatched the child from me and didn't even take good care of him, sob sob sob..."
Lao Qi was a bit at a loss, mainly because he had never seen anything like this.
Why was such a big man crying?
Nianyin didn't take good care of the child; shouldn't Gu Zhihao be standing on the moral high ground and coming over to hold them accountable?
Why did he look like a wronged little wife, crying so miserably?
"I'm sorry, it was our negligence," Lao Qi apologized.
"What's the use of an apology? Is it over just because you apologized? How is the Baobao? You must let me take care of him."
Such a request was not unreasonable, so Lao Qi let him go see him.
Hospital Ward.
The little fellow had a bandage wrapped around his head, snuggling in Nianyin's arms while listening to a story.
Nianyin was reading "Water Margin" to him, and Yulong was listening with great interest.
"Daddy."
Gu Zhihao appeared, and the little fellow immediately got out of Nianyin's arms and threw himself into his.
"Baobao, my Baobao."
"Daddy."
"Sob sob sob—"
The child was quite happy, but Gu Zhihao started to cry, his tears falling like beads from a broken string, unable to stop: "My treasure has suffered, does the injury on your head still hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt, Daddy don't cry."
Yulong used his chubby little hands to help wipe away his tears, the two of them looking like a pair of deeply affectionate father and son.
……
After the injury on Yulong's head healed, Gu Zhihao and Shi Yuke brought gifts and came to visit.
They didn't come today to cast blame or hold anyone accountable for Yulong's head injury; after all, the child was the biological son of Lao Qi and Nianyin, and he knew he had no right to pursue responsibility.
This time, he came because he wanted to take Meiyin back!
Lao Qi and Nianyin agreed.
When Meiyin was taken away, the person most heartbroken was Yulong.
The little fellow cried and said Daddy was biased, wanting only Meiyin and not him.
He chased after the car, shouting as he ran: "Daddy, Daddy."
The car stopped, Gu Zhihao got out, and the two of them hugged and had another good cry, as if it were a parting of life and death.
In the end, it was Shi Youxuan who carried the child back and relayed the words of Nianyin and Lao Qi: "You can come to see the child anytime, don't cry like this, it makes people laugh."
"Really?"
"You don't believe me?"
"I believe you."
"Then that settles it."
The next day.
Gu Zhihao came, bringing quite a few of Yulong's clothes and the toys he usually liked.
He explained in detail what kind of toys the child usually liked, his living habits, his temperament and personality, and things that should be paid attention to.
He even had a parenting diary, which recorded in detail everything that had happened to Yulong from the first day he was born until now, as well as interesting stories of his growth.
There were also thousands of photos; from birth until now, all the interesting things that happened had been captured, and seeing these photos, the two of them felt as if they had personally participated in Yulong's growth, and they were deeply moved.
Meiyin had nothing.
Before, she still held the status of a Ji Family Heir, but now she had nothing!
Nianyin had not participated in her growth process at all, and they had even met very rarely.
So, seeing the things Gu Zhihao brought, she felt very guilty: "I'm sorry, Meiyin... doesn't have these."
"It doesn't matter, I will help her record them in the future," Gu Zhihao smiled kindly.
A moment later, he rubbed his hands together again, nervous and cautious: "May I ask you for one thing?"
"Go ahead."
"Please be better and more attentive to Yulong in the future..."
As he spoke, his tears fell again, and he stammered: "I know it's a bit much to say this, Yulong is your biological child, and I have no right to say such things, but, but you are too careless and not meticulous enough."
"Although the child is your biological son, you two really don't know how to take care of children. Leaving Yulong to you, I am one hundred percent worried..."
If Gu Zhihao had said this half a month ago, the two of them would have kicked him out immediately!
But now they didn't, because he was right.
