Chapter 1032: Torture
"Death Lord, are you sure you can actually extract anything from him? I always feel this demon wizard's mouth is tightly shut—probably not something an ordinary person could pry open, let alone you."
The Demon Lord watched the Death Lord with skepticism.
"Relax, Demon Lord, just watch me! I'll definitely pry his mouth open," the Death Lord said with full confidence.
"Then I leave it to you—be careful."
"I will."
As they spoke, the Death Lord and the Demon Lord had already arrived at the dungeon where the demon wizard was imprisoned.
The Death Lord shoved open the heavy stone door with one hand and walked straight in.
At this moment, the demon wizard was bound by several iron chains, each covered in countless magical arrays designed to control his movements.
The demon wizard sat with eyes closed, seemingly indifferent to his surroundings—even not opening his eyes.
"Heh, demon, it seems you've accepted your fate."
"Accepted my fate? Accepted what?"
"Who do you think you are now? Just a prisoner. Yet you still act so superior."
The Demon Lord sneered coldly.
Hearing this, the Death Lord's rage flared—he wanted to step forward and slap the demon wizard twice.
"I'll tell you this: I serve the Demon God himself. Treat me with respect, or when the Demon God descends upon Shengna Continent and takes control, I'll make you regret every word you've spoken."
The demon wizard threatened them fiercely.
But his threats meant nothing to the Death Lord and the Demon Lord.
"Pah! Demon wizard, stop blowing smoke. Do you really think the Demon God will descend upon Shengna Continent? Do you take us for fools?"
The Death Lord sneered.
The Demon Lord added: "If the Demon God truly cared about your demon kind, why hasn't he shown up yet?"
The demon wizard's face froze, but quickly returned to normal: "You two brats—what do you know?"
The demon wizard mocked: "There are many secrets in this world you simply don't understand. The Demon God will come—only he's currently trapped by some circumstance. Everything we've done is to prepare for his arrival. When you finally meet the Demon God, you won't dare be so arrogant. I advise you to release me now, or you'll regret it terribly."
The demon wizard continued, his tone brimming with arrogance and pride—as if a monarch proclaiming an inevitable victory. Clearly, he was certain the Demon Lord and Death Lord were already defeated.
"Heh, how laughable! Do you think these tricks can scare us? You've got an inflated sense of self-worth. Do you really think we're idiots? The Demon God? The Demon Emperor? Hmph! If you're so bold, why did you beg for mercy just now?"
"I—"
The demon wizard was instantly speechless.
The Death Lord reached into his sleeve and pulled out a sharp little knife.
"I advise you to behave. Otherwise, I can't guarantee I won't kill you."
As he spoke, the Death Lord stepped closer to the demon wizard.
The demon wizard, watching the Death Lord approach, widened his eyes: "You—you dare? I'm a demon wizard! Try harming me just once!"
"Heh, try it, then."
The Death Lord raised the knife and plunged it into the demon wizard's arm, then yanked hard—ripping off his right hand.
"Ahh, my hand!"
Seeing blood gushing from his wrist, the demon wizard screamed.
Watching the demon wizard's bleeding arm, the Death Lord smiled a bloodthirsty grin.
"How's that? Painful, isn't it? Hehehehe—don't rush. This is only the beginning. Worse pain lies ahead. Pray the Demon God arrives soon, or you'll die a very cruel death."
"You—you monster! You'll pay for this!"
The demon wizard glared at the Death Lord with hatred in his eyes.
But such rage was useless.
The Death Lord ignored the demon wizard's threats entirely.
The Demon Lord understood why the Death Lord hated him so much, but still reminded him: "Death Lord, don't forget why we're here. Don't let him die. You understand?"
"Of course I know—it's for intelligence. But in this state, do you think he'll talk? First, we torture him. Then, without asking, he'll spill everything himself," the Death Lord said slowly.
"Fine. Go ahead and do whatever you want. I'll watch from the side—but go easy. If he dies, we'll have trouble."
After speaking, the Demon Lord sat beside the demon wizard, smirking at him as if mocking him—a look that made the demon wizard feel deeply humiliated.
Watching the Demon Lord and Death Lord treat him so casually, as if he were an ant.
The demon wizard's face darkened. He clenched his fists, his expression twisted with fury, his eyes radiating intense killing intent, and he silently swore.
"Demon Lord, don't get too cocky. When my Demon God arrives, none of you will escape."
"Heh, I'll be waiting."
The Demon Lord said carelessly.
Then came the torture.
"Speak. Tell me about your demon forces' deployment and battle plans. If you do, I might give you a quick death," the Death Lord said.
The demon wizard remained silent, still glaring at the Death Lord with gritted teeth.
Seeing his stubbornness, the Death Lord sneered: "Oh? Tough mouth, huh? Fine. Don't blame me if I get rough now."
As he spoke, the Death Lord drove the knife into the demon wizard's body.
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!"
The piercing scream echoed through the entire dungeon, yet the demon wizard still said not a word—he bit his teeth so hard he refused to utter a single syllable.
Watching the demon wizard's writhing, the Death Lord shook his head: "Truly stubborn. Then I'll get serious now."
