Chapter 1463: Powerful Demon Beasts Attack

They had barely made a move when this demon beast suddenly dove, lunging at the soldiers; in an instant, several were grabbed by the beast, and immediately, it tore and ripped them apart, cleaving them directly in two.

Witnessing this scene, several soldiers were left dumbstruck.

Seeing their comrade's body torn apart alive by the demon beast, for a moment, the soldiers stood stunned.

They could not fathom how these demon beasts could be so fast, completely exceeding their own limits.

What is going on? Seeing this scene, one soldier widened his eyes, looking at the demon beasts with disbelief, and murmured the question.

Hearing this soldier's words, another soldier nearby also found it hard to believe.

Because the strength of the demon beasts was not on the same level as theirs.

I don't know; I cannot fathom what is happening either. Watching all this, one soldier shook his head with a blank expression and said.

No, in this state, there is no way to stop the demon beasts. As he spoke, suddenly another demon beast came at this soldier; the soldier hurriedly held his weapon horizontally across his chest, but it still failed to resist; the demon beast's sharp claws directly pierced through the soldier's armor, and immediately, fresh blood flowed from the soldier's wound.

Pfft!

Blood sprayed onto the ground, instantly staining the ground red.

And the soldier's corpse subsequently fell limply to the ground.

Seeing this scene, the remaining soldiers all wore expressions of terror, constantly retreating, fearing the demon beasts would come at them again.

Seeing this scene, Li Yue involuntarily widened his eyes.

To be honest, he had not expected such a situation to arise.

Looking at the soldier lying on the ground, eyes unsealed in death, a flicker of guilt flashed through Li Yue's mind.

Originally, he thought these demon beasts were merely ordinary ones; he never expected them to be such powerful existences, and moreover, their intelligence seemed even higher than that of ordinary demon beasts, and even more cunning.

Thinking of this, Li Yue felt waves of unease in his heart.

He knew that at this moment, he could not hesitate; if he hesitated any longer, the outcome waiting for them would likely be total annihilation.

Thinking of this, Li Yue took a deep breath; immediately, he clenched his fingers, and instantly, a beam of black light bloomed at his fingertip; following that, the black light directly condensed, transforming into a black longsword.

His steps moved; in the next moment, Li Yue went directly toward a soldier, instantly blocking in front of the soldier. Raising his hand, he slashed out fiercely; immediately, a sharp black sword qi flew out from Li Yue's palm, heading to slay that demon beast.

Bang!

The sword qi slashed over; under the assumption that one strike would be fatal, this demon beast was merely pushed back several steps by the force.

Seeing this, Li Yue's pupils contracted, and his expression changed slightly.

He did not expect this demon beast's strength to be so powerful.

Immediately, he shouted to the surviving soldiers: "You retreat first; I will draw the attention of these demon beasts." "But, Lord Chenxi, your injuries have not fully recovered; is this feasible?" "It is far better than you staying behind and dying in vain. Follow my order: retreat." Li Yue barked in a heavy voice.

Very well, then Lord Chenxi, please be careful. Hearing Li Yue's words, immediately, these soldiers spoke no more, turned around, and ran rapidly toward the rear.

Seeing them run away, a cold sneer appeared on Li Yue's face.

Immediately, Li Yue turned around; at this very moment, unknowingly, he had already been tightly surrounded by several demon beasts.

One black bear demon beast let out a low growl at Li Yue, obviously warning him to surrender quickly.

Seeing the black bear demon beast, Li Yue felt no fear; his face showed no expression; he let out a cold snort, then slashed several sword qi at these demon beasts. Bang bang bang...

Countless sword qi slashed out; the black bear immediately crossed its arms, tightly guarding in front of itself.

Instantly, the sword qi hacked and slashed upon them, yet the sound of swords and blades clashing was heard.

Seeing this scene, Li Yue narrowed his eyes slightly.

Truly unexpected; mere beasts like these actually possess such formidable strength; such beasts are actually capable of generating such powerful spiritual intelligence. Li Yue could not help but mutter to himself.

It seems I must eliminate this group of beasts quickly; otherwise, if they face others, it will likely be a situation of nine deaths and one life.

Thinking of this, Li Yue's expression became much more serious.

He could now confirm that the spiritual intelligence of this group of demon beasts must be extremely high; they are absolutely not ordinary demon beasts.

Looking at Li Yue, the black bear demon beast also sensed that this fellow in front of it was anything but simple; instantly, the black bear demon beast's face revealed a cautious expression, and within its copper-bell-like eyes, ferocity was filled.

Seeing the black bear demon beast in such a state, Li Yue also understood.

Since that is the case, I have no need to be polite with you. After Li Yue finished speaking these words, immediately, he flicked his wrist slightly; black light flashed, and a beam of black sword qi instantly flew out, heading to slay the black bear demon beast.

Seeing this scene, these demon beasts were all startled into a shiver and hurriedly retreated backward.

Although the black bear demon beast was a beast full of spirituality, after all, it was a beast that had never seen the world; they did not quite understand what technique Li Yue was using, so they did not react in time.

Bang!

A loud roar came; that beam of black sword qi instantly struck the black bear demon beast's body.

With this sword strike, the black bear demon beast was utterly powerless to dodge; instantly struck, its entire massive body was directly knocked flying.

Accompanied by a booming roar, the entire city wall shook violently; dust flew up, creating chaos everywhere.

Seeing this, Li Yue could not help but breathe a sigh of relief.

It seems it should be resolved now?

Thinking of this, he prepared to face the second demon beast.

Just as Li Yue was about to move, his steps on the ground instantly stopped at this very moment.

His gaze stared fixedly at the figure amidst the flying dust. Boom boom boom boom...

A series of roaring sounds came from within the dust and smoke.

Seeing this scene, Li Yue's face instantly turned ugly.

Within the dust and smoke, a massive figure slowly emerged. Hiss hiss hiss~ Fresh red blood flowed from the side of the black bear demon beast's body; the blood stained the fur on its body red, and its eyes instantly became much sharper; a ferocious, vicious aura instantly erupted, charging toward Li Yue.
