Chapter 765: Mutation, Reinforcements Arrive!

A cold voice slowly rose among the Xiyu Empire's army.

"All archers, disperse into small units and advance for a hit-and-run attack."

As soon as the voice sounded, all the elf archers immediately broke away from the formation, each seeking their own direction of attack.

Seeing this, the El Province Governor's expression finally shifted slightly.

Seeing the cavalry formation that had already become somewhat disordered, he continued speaking:

"All cavalry, maintain speed, maintain formation!"

"Infantry, listen to orders: spread out in formation to clear the way for the cavalry."

As orders fell one after another, the formation that had been beaten into disarray slowly straightened out.

However, the cavalry of the two great kingdoms was already drawing ever closer to the infantry at the very front.

The Xiyu Empire's cavalry was still some distance away.

"Boom~!"

"Pfft!"

Waves of collision sounds accompanied by waves of bloodthirsty cries suddenly erupted at the Xiyu Empire's infantry formation.

At the same time, accompanied by a shout of "Fire!"

the archers' third wave of attacks unfolded once more.

This time, their targets were not the infantry formation.

But the incoming cavalry regiment not far behind.

Seeing this, the El Province Governor's expression changed slightly; he quickly spoke out:

"All cavalry, deploy defenses."

In an instant, beams of defensive light erupted from the bodies of the cavalrymen.

However, these arrows also carried a penetration attribute.

Some weaker defenses were completely useless.

Just this single wave of attacks caused the Xiyu Empire's cavalry regiment to suffer losses directly exceeding a thousand.

The El Province Governor watched, growing increasingly anxious.

The cavalry regiment's advance was thus thrown into disarray.

The corpses of the cavalrymen killed in front created huge obstacles for the cavalry behind, leading to several stampede incidents.

Unhindered by any opposing cavalry, the Guolian Army's cavalry regiment now moved like wolves among sheep, frenziedly harvesting the lives of the Xiyu Empire's infantry.

The weaker elf archers had even less room to resist against the cavalry; in an instant,

the numbers of the infantry regiment and the elf archers plummeted rapidly.

The infantry of the two great kingdoms continued to advance steadily.

Five hundred meters.

Four hundred meters.

Three hundred meters.

Two hundred meters.

One hundred meters.

Fifty meters.

"Kill!"

Seeing the infantry regiment take over, the Guolian Army's cavalry turned their attack toward the cavalrymen in the rear, who had already endured several waves of arrow attacks.

After one round of charging and slashing, the Xiyu Empire's cavalry suffered losses exceeding three thousand.

Adding the several waves of attacks previously sustained from the archers, the Xiyu Empire's cavalry now numbered barely over a thousand.

The Guolian Army's cavalry continued their charge.

Twenty thousand cavalrymen; only one more charge was needed.

The remaining thousand-plus cavalry of the Xiyu Empire would absolutely be annihilated.

The losses of the cavalry regiment were seen by the soldiers.

The morale of the infantry in front and the surviving archers instantly plummeted.

Especially seeing the thirty thousand infantry drawing ever closer.

A vast, dark sea, their steps perfectly synchronized; every footfall made their hearts tremble.

This scene made the El Province Governor's heart grow cold.

Turning to look at the crowd behind him, he spoke coldly:

"We have lost. Order your armies to advance immediately!"

The nine Province Governors now wore solemn expressions; after nodding without exception, they began issuing orders.

"Mo Xi La Duo Province Legion, listen to orders: launch immediately to reinforce El Province!"

"Jia Bu Duo Province Legion, listen to orders: launch immediately to reinforce El Province!"

"Ke La Er Province Legion, listen to orders..."

"An Ji La Ke Province Legion, listen to orders..."

"Mo Ye La Sa Province Legion, listen to orders..."

"Duo Bi Ke Province Legion, listen to orders..."

"Lan Bo Rui Si Province Legion, listen to orders..."

"Ge Xi Xi Li Province Legion, listen to orders..."
