Chapter 665: Information World
Ulo Lius expressionlessly nodded; a flash of silvery white passed through his eyes, and one mercury‑colored complex symbol after another linked together, forming a wheel. Simultaneously, a crisp, illusory shattering sound rang out around them, as if some unseen thing were quietly breaking.
"I'm not good at fighting," he whispered as if explaining to Leiketon, and Ulo Lius fell silent again.
Inside Mi Xi Er Port, people who had been acting normally all of a sudden stopped simultaneously, their eyes becoming vacant and dazed; in their minds, the memories that had been replaying over this period surged forth.
In the Twilight Chapel, Sinaerna and Yuneyin exchanged a glance; one body ignited, turning into a crimson‑white blaze, the other became a pool of flowing silvery liquid, and they rushed out of the chapel one after the other.
The instant they burst through the chapel doors, the surroundings suddenly changed: pink petals drifted down from mid‑air, and the gray‑white marble floor turned into a quietly flowing brook.
An invisible force propelled them; they could not turn back, only move forward.
In a daze, the falling petals and the streaming water receded, the surroundings grew dim and hushed, countless stars flickered, outlining the shapes of eyes, creating a barrier isolated from the outside world that was hard to breach.
The burning crimson and mercury‑like silvery white scattered quickly, then reassembled, revealing the figures of Sinaerna and Yuneyin.
Before Leiketon could speak, Sinaerna was the first to speak:
"We will take the departing soldiers and believers out of the Ancient Forest and return to Fusak."
Leiketon turned his head toward the expressionless Ulo Lius beside him and calmly asked, "What do you think?"
Ulo Lius remained largely expressionless; a slight ripple rose in their silvery eyes, showing a faint indifference, as if watching the river of fate as a bystander, seeking the appropriate future.
A moment later, they looked at Leiketon, gave a gentle nod, and said, "They indeed plan to withdraw; you cannot keep them."
"Them?" Leiketon repeated, his gaze shifting outward with a hint of emotion.
A pure, dense twilight‑like glow seeped from the surrounding void, carrying a sense of sanctity and glory, yet also the onset of dusk and the decay of all things, enveloping the area.
The light gathered increasingly, gradually turning into a stream that illuminated the previously dim surroundings, obscuring the lone eye outlined by starlight.
The isolated, hard‑to‑penetrate barrier began to decay uncontrollably, collapsing and dissipating bit by bit.
Under the dusk light, Sinaerna and Yuneyin aged rapidly; their skin quickly filled with wrinkles and age spots, and they exuded a rotting fluid.
In just a few blinks, they aged to the point where they seemed about to evaporate from the world.
Then they truly turned entirely into rotting liquid, fully evaporated, and vanished before Leiketon and Ulo Lius.
"These faith‑bound angels are such a hassle; whenever they wish, they can borrow power from the deity they worship."
He sighed softly, dispersed the surrounding barrier, and gazed calmly into the void, looking toward the corresponding Spiritual Realm where Sinaerna and Yuneyin reappeared in their normal forms.
Beside them stood an elderly man with graying hair, clad in an orange‑red priest's robe; his face bore no wrinkles, he stood nearly three meters tall, his hair and beard neatly trimmed, appearing vigorous and radiant.
Leiketon's eyes suddenly deepened, revealing a faint violet hue; within his gaze, the elder in the Spiritual Realm swiftly transformed into a blue‑black, knotted, one‑eyed giant.
Every inch of the giant's skin, each pore, each piece of flesh seemed to defy normal human perception, assembled in a peculiar way that harbored an unimaginable impact.
Behind it, orange‑red light poured down from above, bathing its body and casting a bleak dusk.
Within the orange‑red glow, an exaggerated giant sword flickered in and out of view; whenever Leiketon tried to scrutinize its illusory outline, his gaze would unnaturally bend, his sight drifting elsewhere.
"Seems we can't act covertly any longer."
He sighed softly, his whole being instantly dematerialized, turning into an information torrent that surged rapidly into the Spiritual Realm, reconstituting his form before the angel of the War God Church.
He gave the magical puppet in his hand a couple of shakes, looked at the elder ahead, and said leisurely, "Good afternoon, how should I address you?"
"Christopher of the Sword of Glory." Christopher's gaze fell on the puppet Leiketon held, his eye corner twitching slightly. "A remnant of an ancient evil—was that the cause of the earlier disturbance in the Spiritual Realm?"
A fleeting, uncontrollable thought rose in his mind; Christopher quickly steadied his spirit and gave Leiketon a gentle nod, saying:
"The great God of Knights has issued a decree: Fusak will no longer take part in the internal affairs of the Southern Continent, nor in the disputes between the new regime and Inditis."
"My lord is the sovereign of war, the protector of guns and artillery; if you wish, you may pray for his blessing in the upcoming war, which will make your troops fiercer and your weapons stronger."
The army falls under the jurisdiction of the Red Priest, while guns and artillery belong to Steam; neither has anything to do with the giant. Internally muttering a remark, Leiketon gave a slight nod, apparently grasping what they meant.
The high‑level forces backing the new regime on the Southern Continent have now matched Inditis; both sides continue courting allies. Beyond expanding the war's scale, there is little benefit, so it may be wiser to withdraw promptly and perhaps offer moderate support to both, in exchange for future assistance from the War God Church when confronting the Night Goddess Church.
"They think a few trinkets can buy me—did they underestimate my worth?"
Steadying his thoughts, Leiketon gave Christopher of the Sword of Glory a gentle nod, then transformed into an information torrent, returned to Ulo Lius's side, and lightly nodded, saying:
"I'll leave the follow‑up matters of the Ancient Forest to you; I need to make preparations and won't be able to intervene in worldly affairs for a while."
Ulo Lius gave no reply or question, merely nodded.
A lingering sense that they were becoming increasingly withdrawn flashed through his mind; Leiketon instantly steadied his thoughts, his body dematerialized in an instant, breaking into numerous tangled information streams that surged outward like a torrent.
Returning to Pas Valley, Leiketon manifested in the corresponding Spiritual Realm; beneath his feet, a somewhat illusory river wound and undulated slowly, its water a complex swirl as if a paint bucket had been tipped.
This is the Pas River's manifestation in the Spiritual Realm, and also Leiketon's destination.
He scanned the surroundings, then looked upward toward the seven pristine beams of light eternally stationed at the highest point of the Spiritual Realm, and gently nodded to them, "Please help conceal my movements."
As the words faded, the distance between him and the gently flowing pristine light above vanished; curtains of red, yellow, orange, purple, blue, green, and indigo light descended, enveloping a vast area of the Spiritual Realm and intercepting information exchanges there.
Seeing the seven lights of the Spiritual Realm act, Leiketon gave a light nod, then extended his right hand forward, making an empty grasp.
The floating information around him instantly gathered into his palm, coalescing into a phantom light sphere, while his eyes formed one complex illusory symbol after another, infusing it with vast knowledge.
The illusory light sphere instantly expanded, enveloping his body and continuously swelling outward, encompassing more of the Spiritual Realm.
Within the phantom sphere, Leiketon's body rapidly disintegrated into countless black filaments, intertwining into a constantly writhing dark mass that sprouted numerous eyes.
Each eye flickered with pure, clear light, outlining complex illusory symbols and imparting tangible power to the surrounding abstract knowledge.
The previously formless knowledge gradually gained substance, lingering and slowly settling, accumulating into a black, illusory wasteland.
On the wasteland, the bronze‑colored mechanical glove Leiketon had worn on his hand silently materialized, swiftly disintegrated into fragments, releasing faint, dim, colorless glimmers that seemed composed of countless illusory particles, merging into the phantom wasteland.
The black, illusory wasteland gradually acquired substance after being infused with the Knowledge Mentor attribute.
Simultaneously, from the eye‑filled black mass that Leiketon had become, streams of information separated and fell onto the wasteland, painting it with vivid colors.
He separated his original Sage attribute, using it together with the Knowledge Mentor trait as a foundation to bear his information world.
That trait, derived from the Hidden Sage, has deeper ties to the essence of the Western Continent; it no longer aids him much, but can, to some degree, make the information world resonate with the Western Continent's Knowledge Wasteland, transmitting some permeating sealed power.
Upon the colored, substantive wasteland, vague silhouettes emerged—some human, some rabbit, some naga—their sole commonality being a connection to Leiketon, belonging to the followers or potential followers of the Erudite.
Leiketon, floating above the wasteland, quietly watched below; each eye on the black filamentous mass radiated a deep blue‑purple glow, sketching one three‑dimensional illusory symbol after another within his gaze.
