Chapter 719: Naninditis

~8 min read 1,528 words

On the Dawn, Biernadai is dressed rather formally, wearing an elaborate light‑purple court gown; at this moment she is no longer the pirate queen, the leader of the secret organization, but a noble princess.

She gazes calmly at the sea ahead, a hint of deep light‑purple flashing in her eyes.

Beside her, wave after wave of data streams materializes, rapidly coalescing and reshaping, outlining Ge Lan in a black classic wizard robe with brown hair and brown eyes, as well as Tu Ba Ge and two craftsman cats by her side.

Glancing sideways at the expressionless, unmoving Biernadai, Ge Lan asks curiously, "What were you prophesying just now? Will anyone disrupt the upcoming coronation ceremony?"

Biernadai shakes her head, her tone calm, "No one will cause trouble; I'm simply curious about what the future will be like."

While the two converse, another silhouette takes shape on the deck.

He has chestnut‑long hair, azure eyes, a tall build, handsome features, and his brows and eyes bear a slight resemblance to Biernadai's.

He is Emperor Roselle's second son, Biernadai's brother, Bonova.

Before Biernadai can ask, Bonova says outright, "I intend to move the Steam Church's headquarters here. Will he agree?"

Biernadai does not answer Bonova's question; instead she asks:

"How many of the Steam Church are willing to follow you? How will the transfer of the Church's sealed items, data, personnel, and assets be handled?"

Bonova sighs, his tone weary, and says:

"One third choose to stay, another third have left the Church, and the remaining third are willing to assume new roles, follow me south, and continue spreading the Lord's brilliance."

"The churches in Beinditis will be retained, but only as ownerless churches, or they may be converted into welfare homes."

"The remaining people may freely convert to the Eternal Blazing Sun, or to its deity, but they may no longer call themselves followers of my Lord, may no longer spread the Steam gospel, and must destroy all holy seals."

"In this matter, the old government and the Eternal Blazing Sun Church will cooperate with us; any unlost sealed items will be resealed and brought over together."

"The clergy remaining in Luen, Vusak, and Fenebote will all be recalled, after which we will decide whether to resend missionaries forward."

Biernadai nods lightly, her tone calm, "Just do it; he will agree."

She pauses, then adds, "If problems arise, you may seek his aid at any time, or you can pray directly; they will all provide assistance."

As soon as the words finish, a resonant bell suddenly echoes from the sky, and whether on the sea or in the city, everyone instinctively looks up.

The clouds above have twisted into a massive vortex, dim and profound, as if linking to an unknown realm.

A huge shadow emerges from the vortex, growing larger and clearer.

Above the gray mist, relying on the prayer light of the "Hermit" Jadriya, Klein, unable to contain his amazement, exclaims, "The Emperor actually moved the entire Ghost Empire here, truly—"

"They display extraordinary power and miracles so casually before ordinary people, completely without intending to hide the information and existence of the mysterious world; this violates the Seven Gods. Well, they and the Seven Gods are not part of the Alliance, so they need not abide by the pact."

"There is a system of spirit‑realm sorcerers; extraordinary abilities can indeed be disseminated to some extent. The ceiling and the difficulty for ordinary people to grasp mysterious knowledge keep spirit‑realm sorcerers from becoming too powerful, too dangerous, and destabilizing society."

"Moreover, the allure of extraordinary abilities is such that a few ordinary people, especially the youth, cannot resist; they can quickly draw many young people to Naninditis, spurring its development."

"The 'Hermit' path also holds some authority over destiny, excels at prophecy, can see the future—was all this premeditated?"

While pondering, Klein sees a deep‑red star ignite on the boundless gray mist, its rippling circles causing the unfolding scene to sway.

"This door knocks so loudly," he mutters softly, then his spirit spreads, touching the deep‑red star and, following the link, casts his gaze downward.

After seeing who it was, he sighs helplessly, parts his lips, and pulls the other into the space above the gray mist.

The crimson light instantly erupts in the palace hall, collapses rapidly, and condenses into a silhouette identical to Reckton's.

Glancing at the topmost Klein, he chuckles, "You haven't taken the demonic elixir yet?"

Klein nods, "The sea of ruins left by the Divine War relics has mutated, becoming impassable, and Silver City still needs preparation; we'll first send an exploration team to scout the outside." He pauses, then adds, "What are you now? Why does your aura no longer even reach an angel?"

Reckton laughs, his tone calm, "This is a fragment of me, formed by stripping away some information and will; my true self remains in the Star Realm sorting data, housing the uniqueness of the Perfect One, while also assisting the Seven Gods—no, the Four Gods—to maintain the Star Realm's stability."

"The Seven Gods have lost two members, another has lost its rank‑0 persona; the Night is busy controlling those two uniques, leaving the remaining three somewhat powerless. Between me, Roselle, and the True Creator, one must stay in the Star Realm."

"Why?" Klein asks curiously.

"When you become a Miracle Master, you'll know."

Reckton replies briefly, then falls silent, directing his gaze toward the scene unfolding in front of the weathered long table.

Klein also looks over; in the vision, an exaggerated floating island bearing a city, under Roselle's control, settles smoothly onto the coastline, more than doubling Lesse's size.

In the central plaza near the sea, everyone stares dumbfounded at the scene, their eyes forgetting to blink, fearing to miss any detail.

They had considered every possible way Emperor Roselle might appear, yet never this: bringing an entire city down from the sky! Roselle, seated on a dark high‑back chair, suddenly reflects in the heavens, his voice reaching every ear in Naninditis:

"My dear subjects, rejoice, celebrate, your emperor has returned!"

"I am the ruler of Naninditis, the maker of rules, the shadow of order, the supreme emperor, Roselle Gustav!"

"From today onward, I return as Naninditis's highest executive officer and chief adjudicator."

"Under my rule, Naninditis will become a nation of liberty, of art, of knowledge, of technology, and of the extraordinary and mysterious."

"Every citizen of Naninditis shall have the right to access the mysterious world, the chance to become a being of fairy tales, and the qualification to learn knowledge and understand the true nature of this world!"

With each utterance, his aura rises, and his connection to the land beneath his feet and to the nation deepens.

Having finished his proclamation, Roselle begins to elaborate on the laws he has established.

Each of his words reshapes the local rules, integrating his decrees into the world's fundamental laws, making Naninditis his realm and nation in both occult and real terms.

Unconsciously, everyone witnessing the scene is drawn to him, stunned by the perfected laws, body and mind unable to stay still, eager to join.

Towering stone pillars rise from the Ghost Empire's ground, forming a circle that creates a vast, magnificent plaza.

The pillars, dark as midnight, are engraved with myriad characters and symbols inscribing Roselle's newly issued laws; merely gazing at them evokes an indescribable weight, majesty, and sanctity.

Roselle's true form appears silently atop the plaza; he glances at his lingering projection in the sky and, in a solemn and dignified tone, says:

"Knowledge is the ladder of progress, the key to advancing civilization; as citizens of Naninditis, we should pursue knowledge, seek truth, explore mysteries, and develop society."

"As your emperor, Naninditis's highest executive and adjudicator, I declare that the Erudite Church shall become the mainstream church of Naninditis, under state protection and support."

"Of course, your faith remains free; you may continue to marvel at life's preciousness, listen to the Night's voice, feel the knowledge and wisdom in books, and sing soul songs beneath the cross, but as Naninditis's people, the pursuit of truth should not change."

"Citizens willing to walk the path of seeking knowledge and exploring mysteries, recite with me: the essence of knowledge, the source of mystery, the brilliance of civilization, the steadfastness of truth; I will walk the road of knowledge, explore the universe's truths and unknown mysteries, and I will walk with you."

". I will walk with you."

Layered voices rise and fall, echoing like a grand chorus, and under the influence of the Black Emperor, the sound drifts with the wind into the heavens, reaching the Star Realm.

Silently, the sky darkens, and star after star appears, dense and dazzling.

These stars scattered, one after another, clear and pure radiance, converged into a magnificent light and shadow, as if bearing the weight of civilization and history of several thousand to tens of thousands of years, falling upon the Ghost Empire that Luosai'er cast down from the sky.

On the huge floating island, the ancient mysterious city that originally existed was quickly dismantled, reduced to its most basic particulate structure.
