Chapter 123

Such flames, burning on demons, the result they could cause was imaginable.

"Mmph!!!"

"Roar!!!"

"......"

One could see clusters of Flame Demons letting out anguished wails; in mere seconds, the lower-level Flame Demons were burned to ash.

And those higher-level Flame Demons, who could withstand the flame damage for longer, cursed nonstop in the demon tongue amid their wailing.

The sudden Holy Light flames caused the Flame Demon leading the vanguard to take a ton of damage.

In an instant, fully seven or eight Flame Demons perished in the flames!

And this, in turn, threw the entire demon legion's formation into chaos!!

The demon legion's formation was roughly the most damage-absorbent: knights at the very front, Flame Demon warriors in the middle.

And hiding at the very rear were the spell-casting demons of the Flame Demon clan.

The Holy Light flames quickly drew the attention of the demon mages in the rear.

After a string of eerie demon-tongue incantations, the entire Flame Demon legion was cloaked in a layer of black dark-attribute energy.

And the damage from Zhou Yi's Holy Light Cross was greatly reduced as a result.

"Roar!!"

Although the damage was reduced, the Holy Light flames still clung to these Flame Demons, continuously bringing them pain.

Thus, these Flame Demons charged at Zhou Yi even more frantically!

"Compared to magical beasts, demons really do have far more tricks."

"Even more, just like dealing with a party of human professionals, one has to consider more counter-measures."

Zhou Yi didn't expect this area-of-effect skill to deal any heavy damage to these demons.

Being able to draw aggro and kill seven or eight demons was already quite good.

Next......

Watching the Flame Demons rapidly closing in, only about fifty meters away.

Zhou Yi's gaze hardened, and the magic power within his body surged rapidly:

"Holy Light Storm!!"

Boom!!

The surging Holy Light swiftly condensed at the center of the Flame Demon legion into a massive Holy Light storm!!

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The gale howled; the storm, over ten meters tall, swept up the surrounding grass, trees, mud, and the Flame Demons alike into its maw!!

As the scent of earth filled the air, nearly twenty Flame Demons were sucked into it!!

Within the storm, Holy Light flashed unceasingly.

In an instant, five or six Flame Demons burst apart under the baptism of Holy Light.

Seeing this, the Flame Demons nearby hurriedly dodged away.

In the blink of an eye, the very center of the demon legion was cleared into an empty patch by this single skill!!

"Screech!!"

Although the Holy Light Storm killed quite a few of the Flame Demons in the very middle, the Flame Demon knights in the front row were unaffected and kept closing in!!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!......

Each Flame Demon had endless fury toward Zhou Yi burning in its eyes.

Wielding weapons, they attacked Zhou Yi—some leaping and pouncing, some charging headlong!!

In an instant, the swarming Flame Demons completely surrounded Zhou Yi!!

An ordinary level-16 professional, the moment they were surrounded, would fall into an almost certain-death situation!

Unfortunately, Zhou Yi was no ordinary professional.

"Air Render!"

He was seen swinging his massive great-hammer warhammer weighing a full eighty kilograms, instantly entering a Super Armor state!!

Bang!!

A Flame Demon knight before him, level as high as 21, was sent flying into a floating state on the spot.

At the same time, this carved out space for him to advance!

"Tiger Strike!"

He grabbed the airborne Flame Demon knight, and another Super Armor skill was unleashed in an instant!!

He dashed forward a good five or six meters!!

But the Flame Demon knights swarming around numbered a full seventy or eighty!!

Even after dashing forward five or six meters, he was still within the Flame Demon legion.

The moment Zhou Yi dashed out, the attacks from the surrounding Flame Demon knights arrived right along with him!

Whoosh!!

It was a jet-black, vicious war-blade wreathed in flames, aimed at Zhou Yi's neck, carrying an urgent sound of tearing air, slashing toward him with a sudden, violent swing!!

If this strike landed, it would absolutely be an instant kill!!

Clang!!

However, before it could even reach Zhou Yi's body.

The war-blade was firmly blocked by a layer of golden-yellow light barrier shrouding Zhou Yi's body.

Letting out a tremendous shock-wave sound!

Holy Light Shield!!

This B+ skill was already activated by Zhou Yi!!

While Holy Light Shield is active, he can be immune to all physical damage!!

The slash damage from the warblade is naturally included as well!!

"Looking for death!!"

Zhou Yi's gaze sharpened.

Wielding the Profound Light Warhammer blessed by Weapon Blessing, he smashed it flat and sent it flying with a single blow!!

"The physique of a Flame Demon is larger, much stronger than ordinary humans.

Their large size means that only about four or five demons can attack me at once."

"Plus, with Holy Light Shield, I can be immune to physical damage; I just need to be careful about the fire attached to their weapons."

"Even if I accidentally make a mistake and take fire damage, the Slow Healing effect will allow me to recover quickly."

"Among these Flame Demons, the one posing the greatest threat to me should be the Flame Demon Mage."

Zhou Yi's gaze was cold and utterly calm.

He knew very well that to annihilate all these Flame Demons, he must first kill the Flame Demon Mages in the rear!

And breaking through the blockade of these surrounding Flame Demons is absolutely an incredibly difficult task!

"Hah! Let's begin!"

Taking a deep breath, Zhou Yi, whose entire body radiated holy light, held the Profound Light Warhammer like a bulldozer.

He used skills in succession, either killing or smashing away the Flame Demons crowding in from all sides.

His steps were slow, yet extremely determined as he advanced toward the rear of the legion!!

Of course, during this process, the Flame Demon Mages in the rear were also frantically hurling fireballs, rockets, and other spell skills, attempting to kill Zhou Yi from a distance.

The residual waves of the spells even accidentally injured some of the surrounding Flame Demons!!

However, under Zhou Yi's swift movement techniques, none of these spell skills reached a lethal degree.

And under the effect of the Slow Healing skill, the damage he had received was recovering rapidly.

"This..."

"Zhou Yi is too fierce, isn't he?!"

"This is level 16? If you told me he was a level 30 second-transcension Paladin, I'd believe it!!"

"It's too outrageous!"

"......"

From the moment Zhou Yi charged out to his advance within the Flame Demon legion.
