Chapter 161

After the final second of the countdown began.

The Baiyinda Sect gate hovering half in the air behind the playground instantly released an ancient aura, then the two gates swung wide open.

Seeing this, the many new students hurriedly connected their minds to it.

Identical blue information panels simultaneously floated up in everyone's minds.

【Dungeon Secret Realm: Xiong Guai Nest】

【Level: 12~19】

【Difficulty: Selectable - Easy, Hard, Nightmare, Abyss】

【Personnel Requirement: 1~6 people】

【Note: Within the dim and gloomy forest dwell ferocious Xiong Guai. Rumor has it that even a single human cannot fill the stomach of the weakest little Xiong Guai...】

"Sure enough, there is an Abyss difficulty! But it's actually a Xiong Guai Nest dungeon? That's ridiculous!"

"Xiong Guai have thick skin and flesh, and their intelligence isn't low either. This is trouble."

"Sigh, looks like we can't challenge the Abyss difficulty. Better to stick to the Nightmare difficulty honestly."

"..."

The moment the dungeon information appeared.

Many new students who had been high-spirited and eager for battle were instantly cooled down as if splashed with a basin of cold water.

You must know—

Apart from the Su Hang Province college entrance exam dungeon being Cat Demons, the college entrance exam dungeons in other provinces were also similar to those of Goblins and Gnomes.

This does not mean these dungeons are not difficult; among them are still BOSS-level monsters like the Minotaur King and Goblin King.

It's just that, relatively speaking, the overall sense of oppression brought by the dungeons was not that strong.

But Xiong Guai...

New students who had studied the Monster Encyclopedia in high school all knew.

Even the weakest Xiong Guai stood over two meters tall.

900 Stronger Xiong Guai were even three meters, or even four meters tall!

Their muscles were incredibly robust, comparable to steel!

Their full coat of Mao Fa naturally formed armor like a suit of armor, with extremely high defense!

More critically, Xiong Guai possessed extremely high intelligence!!

In short, they were a type of monster extremely difficult to deal with.

Now, they were actually going to enter their nest...

However, although the dungeon was difficult, the many new students quickly reacted, disappearing one after another from the playground and entering the dungeon.

'Difficulty: Nightmare Level!'

'Number of People: 1!'

In theory, Su Da new students were all the most excellent professionals from all over the country.

Abyss-level difficulty, even if challenging.

As long as they teamed up, they should still be able to pass the challenge.

But geniuses are arrogant; they did not want to receive help from others.

Moreover...

Teaming up would lower one's weight; even if they eventually cleared the Abyss-level difficulty.

The final personal score obtained would be worse than clearing the Nightmare level alone.

Therefore, the vast majority of new students only chose to solo-clear the Nightmare-level dungeon.

Only special recruits, and some ordinary new students extremely confident in their own strength, still chose the most difficult Abyss level.

"Brother Zhou Yi, go for it!"

After shouting that affectionate title.

Jiang Churan's small face turned red, and her slender figure carrying the inherited ancient sword quickly vanished from the spot.

"Let's begin..."

Zhou Yi's gaze sharpened, and he also chose to enter the dungeon without hesitation.

Difficulty: Abyss Level!

Number of People: 1!

For this level above Nightmare, he was also extremely interested.

"I hope the difficulty in this rumor allows me to display my full strength..."

A trace of expectation appeared on his angular, resolute face, and his figure slowly vanished from the spot.

"Infinite Horizon!"

After all the new students had entered the Secret Realm dungeon.

On the ceremony platform, a mentor of the Mage profession waved his staff.

He released the skill that could view the students' performance inside the dungeon.

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

Projection images appeared one after another in the half-air.

There were thirty such images in total.

Unlike ordinary video images.

These projection images, no matter from which direction the gaze came, provided the best viewing experience.

"The New Student Grand Competition has begun!"

Only one of the screens showed it.

A summoner ranked 102nd on the sequence list summoned his contract beast immediately upon entering the dungeon.

The number of contract beasts was enormous, nearly a hundred!

They instantly filled the entire surrounding area!

Clearly, this was a summoner who favored a horde tactic.

On the projection screen beside him, an assassin ranked 87th on the sequence list held a dagger.

He vanished instantly from his spot, entering stealth mode.

Boom! Boom! Boom!......

Meanwhile, the tall and fearsome Xiong Guai farther away kept falling, one after another.

"Not bad!"

"The new students this year are truly strong!"

Many instructors' eyes lit up.

There are three dungeon secret realms available for the Su Hang University Freshman Competition.

They are usually rotated once a year.

The Xiong Guai Nest dungeon is the most difficult of these three dungeon secret realms.

In the past, some new students were caught off guard upon entering this dungeon and eliminated immediately.

But this year's new students have performed exceptionally well overall.

"Cut a window to Zhou Yi."

At this moment, Wu Mang, the dean of the War Academy, spoke.

After all, he himself had personally named Zhou Yi the top new student.

Although Zhou Yi wasted over a month in the Stormwind Mountains, he still wanted to see.

How far could Zhou Yi go in the Xiong Guai Nest dungeon?

【You have arrived at the Xiong Guai Nest.】

【You have selected difficulty: Abyss.】

【You have obtained a Return Scroll. Note: The Return Scroll will become invalid when you are attacked.】

【Note: Monsters in Abyss difficulty are extremely frenzied. Be careful when using the Return Scroll.】
