Chapter 173: Abyss-Level Instance Cleared! Bountiful Rewards! (Subscribe!)

"Skilled battle axe techniques, formidable four-dimensional attributes.

The two combined form this fierce close-combat style that belongs uniquely to Zhou Yi......"

Song Qi, the dean of the Weapon Academy, who had finally witnessed Zhou Yi's close-combat fighting methods, lit up.

She was a woman around thirty years old, her eyes clear as stars.

"That's right, those last few axes that broke the defense—although no skills were used, the way force was applied was impeccable.

And extremely precise, almost all hitting the same spot; otherwise, the Xiong Guai's earth-element armor couldn't have been broken so easily."

A teaching instructor of the Weapon Academy nodded in agreement.

If such a scene had happened to a scion of a noble house who had received all kinds of combat training since childhood, it might be understandable.

Yet Zhou Yi was merely from an ordinary family in a small place.

To reach this level, one must undergo extremely arduous self-training, and one's willpower must also be exceptionally firm......"

"Besides close-combat, his spells and support buffs are equally formidable."

"And this point wasn't shown during the college entrance exam instance."

"It seems the month Zhou Yi spent at the '907' Strong Wind Mountain Range wasn't wasted after all—on the contrary, he's made considerable progress."

An instructor said approvingly.

Back then, at the meeting, when they heard Zhou Yi had gone to the Strong Wind Mountain Range at the critical moment after reporting as a specially-recruited student,

everyone thought he had wasted his time.

Now it seems......

He just slapped them right in the face!

Wu Mang, the dean of the War Academy, had even rebuked him on the spot back then, especially displeased.

And now, the other party actually looked even more excited than they were......

"Spells, close combat, support—Zhou Yi does cover all directions of the Holy Knight, but it's merely a clever trick."

"If the level goes higher, covering skills in all these directions will cost no small number of skill points."

"In the end, he might indeed cover all directions, but this also causes every direction to be mediocre, unable to stand out......"

An instructor from the Element Academy raised a different opinion.

On this point, no one refuted.

This was also a fact.

Every professional can learn many skills; how to pick these skills and form one's own style is also an important area of study.

The school even specially opened a course called 'Professional Skill Point Allocation Selection' for this purpose.

The goal was to let students learn to make trade-offs when learning skills, and form their own characteristics.

If one learns every skill available regardless of consequences, it may cause all skills to remain at LV4 or LV5.

In the end, it looks like every type of skill is present, covering every aspect, usable in any situation.

But it also causes every aspect to be unremarkable, even mediocre.

Then this professional will eventually become what everyone commonly calls a jack-of-all-trades......"

"This really is a problem......"

Wu Mang nodded slightly.

It's fine for now—everyone's level is still low, and even if skills are learned, the levels haven't been raised very high.

Wasting this portion of skill points is just wasting them.

If one keeps allocating points like this, once the level rises, it'll be troublesome.

"After the freshman competition ends, I'll personally find him to talk."

Wu Mang said slowly.

Looking every bit as if he had already taken Zhou Yi as a student of his own academy.

"Heh, Dean Wu, Zhou Yi hasn't chosen which academy to enter yet."

"It's better to wait until he chooses his academy, then let the corresponding dean go talk to him......"

Song Qi also spoke up with a light laugh at this moment.

Her voice was very pleasant to the ear, crisp and melodious.

But the meaning conveyed in her words was very clear.

Zhou Yi, our Weapon Academy wants him!

"Well said!"

"Everything waits until Zhou Yi chooses his academy."

Zhou Huayang, the dean of the Element Academy, also nodded in agreement.

"......"

Wu Mang was immediately speechless upon hearing this.

In order to make their own academy more prosperous,

after the freshman competition, the deans and teaching instructors of each academy would scramble to pick students into their own academy.

As the top scorer of Suhang Province, Zhou Yi naturally had the highest priority and was the object of everyone's competition.

Originally, he thought the only one competing with him should be the Weapon Academy.

He didn't expect that now, even the Element Academy wanted to stick its nose in......

"Dean Wu, Zhou Yi's talent in elemental spells is certainly not low.

Coming to our Element Academy is more than enough!"
