Chapter 18: Top University, I Choose to Refuse! (Please Vote, Collect, and Review)

Under the leadership of Principal Luo Heng, the two walked toward the VIP reception room.

When they were still a few steps away from the reception room, Zhou Yi heard a noisy clamor coming from inside:

"Old Zhao, your school arrived quite fast. Chuannan Province to Lijiang City is over four thousand kilometers; did you deploy a dedicated fighter jet?"

"Hehe, what's a fighter jet? We used a long-range teleportation array directly!"

"Sigh, activating a long-range teleportation array consumes a Level 30 demon core; you actually dared to spend that?"

"For a genius, what's there to hesitate over? Zhou Yi, Chuannan University has decided to take you!"

"Hehe, that still depends on each side's means."

"......"

Hearing the discussion inside.

Principal Luo Heng coughed lightly and led Zhou Yi inside.

Upon entering the reception room, Zhou Yi immediately saw four people sitting on the antique chairs.

These four were one woman and three men, each dressed differently.

But all possessed thick momentum, with sharp light in their eyes.

This made Zhou Yi certain that these people were at least Level 35 professionals!

Just as Zhou Yi was sizing up the four, the four were also sizing up Zhou Yi.

His upright posture, handsome appearance, and the faint holy radiance obtained after awakening his talent.

All made the several instructors nod inwardly.

This Zhou Yi gave a very good first impression.

Under Principal Luo's introduction, Zhou Yi quickly learned the identities of these four.

That bald middle-aged man was a teacher from Rongyang University, named Zhao Tianfu.

Li Bing, wearing white casual clothes with a lean build, was from Chuannan University.

The only woman among them, the beautiful Zhu Yu, was a teacher from Hancheng University.

And the tallest middle-aged man was a teacher from Anji University, Wang Yuan.

"Teacher Zhao, Teacher Li, Teacher Zhu, Teacher Wang."

Zhou Yi bowed respectfully.

These people were each genuine big shots.

They were seniors who had hunted countless demon beasts and ferocious creatures on the front lines, defending their homes.

Proper etiquette must be fully observed.

"Not bad."

Seeing this scene, Zhao Tianfu and the other three nodded slightly.

As admission teachers, they had seen countless geniuses.

A student with such manners gave a very good impression.

"You should know our purpose here; no need for empty talk. I'll state Rongyang University's conditions first."

The decisive Zhao Tianfu spoke first.

"As long as you come to our school, we immediately reward you with 2 million Zhongxia currency, plus three exclusive skill books for Paladins!"

"2 million Zhongxia currency? Three skill books? Rongyang University is too rich!"

Zhou Yi couldn't help but be slightly stunned.

For an ordinary family, monthly income is only about 6,000 yuan.

2 million would take a family nearly 30 years of saving without eating or drinking!

For him at present, it is also a huge sum.

Moreover, three exclusive skill books for Paladins are extremely rare.

Ordinary people simply have no way to obtain them.

"Hehe, only 2 million Zhongxia currency?

Zhou Yi, come to our Chuannan University, and we'll give you 3 million just for enrollment!

And every year there will be various benefits; for Paladin skill books, we can give you three per year!"

Li Bing, not to be outdone, immediately proposed his school's treatment.

"3 million Zhongxia currency, personal instruction by a Level 56 Third-Cycle Knight; these are Chuannan University's conditions."

Li Bing's words were brief.

But the domineering tone was fully evident.

A Level 56 Third-Cycle Knight!

Ordinary universities truly do not have such powerful instructors.

Hearing this, Zhou Yi, who had originally decided not to participate in this special recruitment, couldn't help but sigh.

A Level 56 Knight.

That is one of the groups closest to the peak on the entire Blue Star.

"You all, your sincerity is still insufficient."

Zhu Yu smiled slightly and looked at Zhou Yi:

"Our Hancheng University's enrollment bonus is not much, only 2 million.

However, as long as you enroll in our school, we immediately give you a Grade B cultivation resource!"

"Grade B cultivation resource?!"

As the words fell, the other three all looked at Zhu Yu in surprise.

Two million mid-summer coins is still fine—any of the TOP10 universities can put that out.

But B-grade cultivation resources are a different story.

Some of the heavenly materials and earthly treasures inside simply cannot be measured in money.

One could say, throw down a single B-grade resource—

Even a pig could be cultivated into the fiercest magical beast!

"Over a million in enrollment fees, B-grade cultivation resources—and that's just the treatment for a genius?"

Off to the side, Luo Heng, who had taken in every word of the four universities' conditions, clicked his tongue inwardly.

Any single reward here would take him the better part of a lifetime to obtain.

"Those are the conditions from our four schools. So, Zhou Yi, which one do you choose?"

Under the gaze of the four, Zhou Yi drew a deep breath and slowly began to speak:

"Four teachers, I'm sorry, but I plan to give up this special recruitment."

"Give up the special recruitment?"

At these words, the entire room was stunned.

"Do you know what giving this up means?"

Zhu Yu's delicate brows knit tightly.

She very much wanted Zhou Yi to enter her school—otherwise she would never have offered B-grade resources.

After all, a Holy Knight who had grown—

The boost he could bring on the battlefield would be enough to decide the outcome of an entire war!

"I understand."

Zhou Yi nodded.

"Can you tell us why?"

Zhu Yu looked at Zhou Yi.

The other three teachers also showed looks of curiosity.

In all their years of recruitment, this was the first time any of them had encountered such a situation.

"I want to take the entrance exam for the three top-tier universities."

Without concealing anything, Zhou Yi explained directly.

At these words, the entire room fell silent at once, and a strange, oppressive atmosphere began to spread.

Even among the TOP universities, the three top-tier schools held an extraordinary position.

They hadn't expected that Zhou Yi's reason for giving up the special recruitment was to choose to take the entrance exam for the three top-tier universities.

"Hmph, I thought he was a promising seedling, but it turns out he has no idea how high the sky is.

Forget it, keep this student for yourselves—our Rongyang University won't be playing along!"

After a moment of silence, Zhao Tianfu gave a cold snort and flung his hand away as he left.

They had all read Zhou Yi's file.

Apart from obtaining the S-grade talent class-change to Holy Knight, there was almost nothing of value.

Weak strength, low four-dimensional attributes.

Someone like this, given some cultivation, would indeed have decent prospects.

But with Zhou Yi's current strength, being specially recruited by a TOP university was already a stroke of great luck!

And now he actually wants to take the entrance exam for the three top-tier schools—simply far too inflated!

Recruiting students requires looking not only at potential, but also at character.

With such an inflated personality, even if specially recruited into a TOP university, he'd never amount to much!

"Since student Zhou Yi has such lofty ambitions, we won't hold you any longer."

The remaining two teachers, apart from Zhu Yu, both wore rather unpleasant expressions.

After leaving those words, they departed quickly.

In an instant, the spacious reception room was left with only Zhu Yu of Hanshan University still there.

Unlike the other three teachers, Zhu Yu's exquisite face showed no displeasure.

Instead, she looked at Zhou Yi with an expression of keen interest.

"Daring to challenge the three top-tier universities—you've got real courage. I look forward to seeing your performance on the college entrance exam."

She let out a light laugh, gave Zhou Yi one last look, then turned and walked away with her long, slender strides.

"Phew, they're finally all gone."

Watching Zhu Yu's graceful figure as she left, Zhou Yi also let out a breath of relief.

The aura those four big shots had just unleashed—

If it had been an ordinary person, they probably wouldn't have been able to bear it.

Fortunately, his willpower was far stronger than that of an average person.

"This hurdle is passed for now, but if you don't do well on the college entrance exam, that'll be trouble."

Wiping the fine sweat that had broken out on his forehead from the aura the mentors had just unleashed, Principal Luo Heng sighed.
