Chapter 242

The moment the notice of resource increase was issued.

It swept across the entire campus like a hurricane, and the students who received the notice immediately boiled over with excitement!

"Holy crap! Resources increased by 70%—that's going against the heavens!"

"Hiss, the school's three major instances are opening Abyss Mode? Awesome! We can earn more experience from now on!"

"The credit points from mission rewards are also going up—looks like the school is making some big moves......"

Every month, Suhang University regularly distributes resources to its students.

Based on sequence ranking, the resources distributed vary—some get more, some get less.

Those who get more, like Zhou Yi, ranked first on the sequence.

Can receive 100 credit points every month, along with a C+ grade resource.

Those who get less are students ranked further down on the sequence.

They might only receive a little over ten credit points each month, along with some lower-grade E-level or even F-level resources.

Even so......

But even the most ordinary student receives resources from the school each month worth roughly one million Zhongxia coins on the outside market!

One million Zhongxia coins—that's no small sum, and it's distributed every single month.

One can imagine how much Suhang University spends on its students!

Each intake only admits one thousand new students—on one hand, it's selecting the best from the best.

On the other hand, the cost of cultivating a single student is simply too great......

Now, the resources for all students at Suhang University have been raised across the board—and it's not a minor tweak, it's a major adjustment exceeding 50%!

While making every student boil with excitement, they also clearly understood that the school likely had some big move in store.

"Massively distributing resources—this is cultivating strong ones at any cost!"

"Could it be that a great war is about to begin?"

Some sharp students speculated.

937

"Very possible! But no matter why the resources are going up, as students, we just need to work hard to get stronger!"

"True enough! We're living in the best of times!"

"Just do it! The human race shall flourish forever!"

"......"

Under the incentive of the resource increase.

For a time, all the students of Suhang University were rubbing their fists and palms, eager to throw themselves into a major effort!

Meanwhile, Zhou Yi, who was inside Villa No. 001, still didn't know what had happened.

At this moment, he had just finished training at the open-air training ground and dragged his somewhat weary body back to the living room.

It was still the same Level 1 combat stance, but this time he didn't use his bloodline Secret technique to transform into the Frost Titan.

Precisely because of that, this battle cost him a little extra time.

"Hmm? So many missed calls?"

He glanced at his phone on the coffee table—several missed calls were showing on the screen.

Some from Jiang Churan, some from Song Xialan, and even one from Wang Li, whom he'd met at the special-recruit meeting.

With a swipe of his finger, the moment the phone unlocked, a flood of messages popped up in the new-student group:

"Abyss Mode opens tomorrow—too bad our levels aren't high enough! We can't challenge it yet."

"Heh, even if your level's high enough, so what? Do you have enough credit points to start an Abyss-level instance challenge?"

"Fair point—then I can only enjoy the fixed monthly resource distribution."

"The fixed resource distribution has gone up by a full 70%! That's enough for me!"

"......"

The chat group ran on a software called 'Xiliao'.

This software is the most widely used instant-messaging app in Zhongxia Country—nearly everyone has a 'Xiliao' account.

At this moment, besides the constant stream of messages popping up in the new-student group Zhou Yi had joined, there were also two separate friend messages.

"Brother Zhou Yi, the school's resource distribution has gone up!"

This was a message from Jiang Churan.

"Zhou Yi, the Abyss Mode of the school instance has opened.

If you ever want to team up in the future, you can call me along~~"

This was a message from the braided-hair girl Song Xialan.

Zhou Yi didn't have many friends on his 'Xiliao' account—besides his high school classmates.

There were only the newly added Qingyuan Squad, Jiang Churan, and a few girls including Song Xialan.

"Resource increase?"

Zhou Yi's sword-like brows rose slightly.

He immediately understood that while he had been doing his combat training earlier, something extraordinary seemed to have happened.

Thinking of this, Zhou Yi quickly entered the new-student group and clicked to view the pinned announcement.

Sure enough, the announcement contained a full introduction to the resource increase.

The introduction was very long—fully ten-plus pages!

It covered every aspect of the students.

It took Zhou Yi two or three minutes to finish reading the entire announcement and its detailed introduction.

"The school has increased the distributed resources so much—looks like the country is about to make some big moves." (cifa)

That day, after learning at Teacher Wang Hui's private villa that creatures from another world could cross over through medium-sized spatial rifts,

Zhou Yi had a premonition that the country would come up with a corresponding method of response.

He just didn't expect it to come so quickly.

"However..."

"The school's three major dungeons switching to Abyss Mode actually suits me just fine."

"I happen to have no class tomorrow morning, so I'll head over to the dungeon building to take a look."

"Try challenging the Goblin Underground City dungeon."

After making a decision, Zhou Yi began calling back each of his missed calls one by one.

As expected, everyone who called was calling about the resource increase.

Worth mentioning is that, upon hearing he was going to challenge the Goblin Underground City dungeon tomorrow, Jiang Churan—who also had no class tomorrow morning—prepared to tag along.

The next day.

Zhou Yi got up early and, as immovably as ever, completed the system's daily quests.

After claiming the 10 free attribute points reward and allocating them, he put on his equipment and left the villa.

This time, he could truly be called fully armed.

On his back, slung diagonally, was the ferocious-looking War-Breaking Battle Axe.

His entire body was covered by the dark-black Wrathful Dragon Light Armor set, with only his head exposed.

Walking out of the villa, Zhou Yi saw Jiang Churan's slender, girlish figure already standing in front of Villa No. 002.

The usual equipment for the Swordsman class is light armor or leather armor.

Jiang Churan, who pursued ultimate agility and speed, naturally wore leather armor.

He saw that the silver-white leather armor battle-suit clung to her body like a layer of skin, outlining a figure of alluring curves.

And on her back, as always, she carried the archaic black Dark Moon Ancient Sword.

As an inheritance-grade weapon, the level of this Dark Moon Ancient Sword had risen along with Jiang Churan's level, also reaching Level 17.

The enhancement to her four-dimensional attributes had also reached a level that could only be described as terrifying.

"Brother Zhou Yi."
