Chapter 249

"As expected of an Abyss-level Dungeon Secret Realm, it's too difficult!"

"Yes, I only made it to the fourth floor before being focused by over a hundred Silver Rank Goblins!"

"If I hadn't escaped quickly, I probably would have fallen there!"

"Haha, I was fine; I felt it was a bit strenuous when passing the third floor, so I used the Return Scroll directly."

"......"

The first-floor lobby of the Dungeon Building.

Many students experiencing Abyss-level difficulty for the first time slumped onto the sofas, lamenting that the dungeon's difficulty was truly perverted.

Indeed......

Even Nightmare-level dungeons only have monsters with slightly higher levels.

Ordinary monsters are mostly still Bronze Rank.

Elite monsters are Silver Rank, and only the final BOSS is Gold Rank.

But this Abyss-level dungeon where ordinary monsters are all Silver Rank is something most students wouldn't even dare to dream of......

On the first floor of the entire Dungeon Building, besides the lobby's rest sofas and the dungeon passages, there is also a special empty room.

This room is the teleportation point for returning from the dungeon.

At this moment, besides those sitting on the sofas, many professionals are walking out of this room.

These people, without exception, have bloodstains on their armor.

Clearly, they are all students who have experienced Abyss-level difficulty.

Among these people, a young girl stands out extremely.

This young girl carries a black, ancient-looking long sword on her back, wears a tight-fitting leather armor, and has a charming and beautiful appearance.

As soon as she walked out of the room, it attracted the gaze of some male students around her, casting their looks in a subtle manner.

This person is none other than Jiang Churan, who cleared the Goblin Dungeon Secret Realm.

"Fortunately, I only chose the Hard difficulty; otherwise, I'm afraid even 940 wouldn't have been able to clear it."

Listening to the complaints from the senior students around her about the dungeon's difficulty, Jiang Churan felt nothing but immense relief.

Although she was the top provincial examinee, she had a clear understanding of her own strength.

She was only level 17, barely reaching the minimum entry level threshold for the Goblin Dungeon Secret Realm.

If she had challenged the Nightmare-level or Abyss-level right from the start, she probably wouldn't even know how she died!

So, for safety's sake, she ultimately chose the Hard difficulty, preparing to test the waters first.

The facts proved her choice was extremely correct!

With her strength, she was just able to clear the Hard-level Goblin Dungeon Secret Realm.

"I wonder if Brother Zhou Yi can successfully clear it."

Although she had great confidence in Zhou Yi's strength, hearing the complaints around her, Jiang Churan couldn't help but worry for him.

"Ding ling ling~~"

Suddenly, her phone rang.

Picking up the call, a familiar voice sounded from the other end of the line:

"Xiao Ran, I've entered the first-floor lobby; where are you?"

"You came in? Where?"

"Just entered the doorway."

Jiang Churan then looked towards the lobby entrance and saw a tall girl with twin ponytails waving continuously there.

"Xiao Dan, look to the right, I'm here."

Jiang Churan replied into the phone.

This girl was naturally her best friend, Zhong Dan.

Like her, the warrior-class Zhong Dan also chose the Weapon Academy.

There were no classes this morning either.

It's just that Zhong Dan's level at this time was only 16, not enough to enter the dungeon.

So this time she came over simply to accompany her.

As for why they weren't together when they set off in the morning, it was naturally because she had made special arrangements to be alone with Zhou Yi......

"How was it? Is the Goblin Dungeon Secret Realm difficult?"

The two found an empty sofa to sit on, and Zhong Dan asked curiously.

"It's a bit difficult; the Goblin Dungeon Secret Realm is a Silver Rank Secret Realm.

Although I only chose the Hard difficulty, the Goblin monsters inside were almost all level 20 or above, and I almost had to go all out to clear it."

Jiang Churan did not hide anything and replied directly.

She was telling the truth.

Except for not using the Succubus power within her body, during the dungeon, she almost exerted her full strength.

Of course......

Throughout the entire battle process, she did not suffer any very serious injuries.

"So difficult?!"

Zhong Dan's eyes widened, then she sighed and said helplessly:

"It seems that when I reach level 17, I can only choose to start from the Easy difficulty......"

At the Freshman Grand Competition four days ago, although her sequence ranking rose from the original 34th place to 28th place.

Among all the freshmen, her strength could still only be considered second tier.

Compared to Jiang Churan, who was ranked second in the sequence, the gap was even greater!

Even she had nearly exhausted herself to clear the Hard difficulty, so naturally she couldn't have passed it unscathed at level 17.

"Right, where's Zhou Yi? He hasn't come out yet?"

Zhong Dan looked around, yet she didn't see Zhou Yi's figure anywhere.

"He chose the Abyss difficulty, so he should still be inside the instance right now."

Zhong Dan, who had been waiting for an answer, was stunned for a moment, then immediately reacted, forcing a bitter smile:

"Challenging the Abyss difficulty right off the bat... that really does seem like his style."

At the Freshman Grand Tournament, Zhou Yi had been like a war god, defeating two provincial top scorers in a row, as well as that formidable aristocratic disciple Shen Lingfeng, leaving an extremely deep impression on her.

Hearing now that Zhou Yi had chosen to challenge the Abyss difficulty, for a moment Zhong Dan actually didn't feel much surprise.

"Given Zhou Yi's strength, he should be able to clear it pretty quickly."

Almost instinctively, Zhong Dan looked up at the enormous screen directly ahead.

To motivate the students, Su University would display the fastest clear times for the instance on the screen according to ranking.

Whenever the clear status inside the instance changed, it would be refreshed on this screen in real time.

'First, Tang Yang, Abyss difficulty, time spent 16 minutes 24 seconds, final clear progress 88%.'

'Second, Liu Quan, Abyss difficulty, time spent 15 minutes 41 seconds, final clear progress 86%.'

'Third, Yu Hang, Abyss difficulty, time spent 17 minutes 56 seconds, final clear progress 85%.'

'......'

The first criterion for ranking on the screen was clear progress; if the progress was the same, then the time spent was compared.

At this point, with the Abyss difficulty now open, those at the very top of the rankings had all chosen the Abyss difficulty.

But without exception, among these people, not a single one had managed to clear it successfully......

Apart from Jiang Churan and Zhong Dan, the other students sitting and resting in the hall were all staring intently at this leaderboard as well.

'First, Huang Heng, Abyss difficulty, time spent 17 minutes 57 seconds, final clear progress 93%.'

Suddenly, the screen refreshed, and a new name replaced Tang Yang, appearing in the first-place ranking.

"Hiss, even Huang Heng couldn't clear it successfully! Isn't that way too hard?"

"That's just ridiculous!"

"Worthy of being an Abyss-difficulty instance, the intensity is just too outrageous......"

"......"

Huang Heng, a level 21 mage, was ranked 36th in the sophomore sequence.

He possessed the A+ grade talent 【Elemental Amplification】, and his overall strength was extremely formidable!

Yet, even he had been unable to fully clear the instance.
