Chapter 261

"Gathering us all like this, it seems we're here to finalize the roster for the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament."

"Indeed! I've been looking forward to the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament for ages!"

"Who isn't? My warblade has been thirsting for battle!"

"......"

War Academy Conference Hall.

Already, four or five freshmen ranked in the top ten had arrived early.

Their words revealed they were quite promising regarding the upcoming National University Freshman Exchange Tournament.

After all, this is a grand nationwide event!

Not long after, a man and a woman walked in through the door.

The man was tall with a resolute face.

The woman was slender and breathtakingly beautiful, with a captivating allure faintly radiating from her.

These two were naturally Zhou Yi and Jiang Churan, who had received the summons.

"Brother Yi, you're here."

"Zhou Yi."

"Brother Zhou."

"......"

Zhou Yi's formidable performance in the Freshman Grand Competition had completely conquered these proud geniuses.

Seeing Zhou Yi approach now, the group immediately greeted him warmly.

As for Jiang Churan accompanying Zhou Yi, none of them found it particularly surprising.

After all, their unusual relationship had been evident even during the Freshman Grand Competition.......

Freshman classes have been underway for over twenty days, and regarding the other top ten freshmen.

Zhou Yi now had a general impression of them, so he wouldn't be unable to recognize a single one as he was during the Freshman Grand Competition.

Thus, facing everyone's enthusiasm, Zhou Yi merely nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

He then casually found a seat and sat down.

Not long after the two sat down, the remaining freshmen ranked in the top ten also arrived one by one.

At this moment, Wu Mang, Dean of the War Academy, Zhou Huayang, Dean of the Element Academy, and Song Qi, Dean of the Weaponry Academy, also walked in.

Stepping onto the podium, Wu Mang scanned the crowd below with his gaze.

The Freshman Grand Competition has concluded, and regular classes have officially begun.

The freshmen's training and studies have now fallen into a proper routine.

Twenty days have passed since then, and compared to the day of the Freshman Grand Competition, the current top ten freshmen appear far more condensed in their aura.

Clearly, their strength has increased significantly.

Among these individuals, Zhou Yi was undoubtedly the most outstanding.

His momentum was extremely powerful!!

Wu Mang was not surprised by this.

As early as two or three weeks ago, he had heard from the Dean of the Element Academy that Zhou Yi had obtained the extremely rare 'Frost Titan' bloodline.

Originally, Zhou Yi, possessing only ordinary human bloodline, was at a disadvantage regarding special bloodlines.

Now, not only has his bloodline power been supplemented, but it has been supplemented with the bloodline of the Titan Divine Descendants!!

A surge in strength is therefore quite normal.

After confirming everyone's aura one by one, Wu Mang withdrew his gaze and said in a deep voice:

"The National University Freshman Exchange Tournament begins on September 1st. I called you here today mainly to finalize the roster for our school's expedition team."

His voice seemed to emanate from his chest, extremely powerful.

Hearing this, the freshmen below all brightened in the eyes, thinking, as expected!

"The expedition team for the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament consists of six official members and four substitutes, totaling exactly the ten of you."

"However, if any of you do not wish to go, you may speak up now."

"I will then proceed to select the eleventh and twelfth ranked individuals."

The instant Wu Mang's words fell, a 'Ding' sound rang out.

A system notification appeared in Zhou Yi's mind:

【Detected that the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament is about to begin. An Exchange Tournament Achievement Quest is now issued.】

【Achievement Quest: Based on your comprehensive results in the Exchange Tournament, you will receive corresponding achievement rewards.

(Note: This reward is linked to your chosen 'Paladin' class).】

'It's here, an Achievement Quest!!'

Zhou Yi forcibly restrained himself from showing too much surprise, yet his heart was filled with immense joy!

Before this, the system's Achievement Quests had appeared only twice.

Once during the College Entrance Examination, and once while in the Gale Mountains.

And the rewards obtained upon completing those quests had all led to an unimaginably astonishing increase in his strength!!

Clearly, as long as he achieves sufficiently good results in the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament this time, he will definitely obtain an extremely astonishing system reward.

'Rewards distributed based on comprehensive Exchange Tournament results, it seems this National University Freshman Exchange Tournament will be quite busy.'

Zhou Yi's eyes flickered.

The Exchange Tournament consists of three events.

They are the Survival Match, the Team Match, and the Individual Match.

To get the best overall result, naturally one must take first place in all three events!

Just as Zhou Yi was thinking to himself.

Faced with Wu Mang's words, "If you don't want to go, you can say so right now," none of the top-ten new students made a sound.

What a joke.

The National University Freshman Exchange Tournament brings together the new-student geniuses from across the entire country; who would be willing to pass up such an opportunity to exchange blows?

"Very good."

Seeing no one drop out, Wu Mang nodded as well.

"The Freshman Exchange Tournament has three events in total: the Survival Event, the Team Event, and the Solo Event."

"Aside from the Survival Event and the Solo Event, the Team Event requires six people to form a team and participate together."

"Therefore, a captain needs to be chosen."

"This captain will be Zhou Yi — none of you have any objections, right?"

Faced with Wu Mang's inquiry, everyone immediately shook their heads.

Zhou Yi's strength was formidable; in the Freshman Grand Tournament he had nearly swept through to claim the top freshman ranking.

Having him serve as captain of the expedition team, they naturally had no complaints whatsoever.

"Since everyone acknowledges you as captain, then the team composition for this time will also be left to you to complete — no problem with that, right?"

Wu Mang looked toward Zhou Yi.

After all, the Freshman Exchange Tournament required these students to take the field and fight.

Having the captain arrange the team composition was simply better.

As long as the final submitted roster had no issues, they as teachers would not interfere too much.

"No problem."

Zhou Yi nodded.

If anything, this made it even more convenient for him to build a formidable team.

"Good, just give me the official roster tomorrow."

"Also, as long as you take first place in this Freshman Exchange Tournament, each person will receive a reward of at least 10,000 academic credits!"

"Moreover, besides the rewards from our school itself, if you place in the tournament, you will additionally receive rewards provided by the organizers."

"This year's rewards are still unknown, but last year's rewards were a large batch of resources and equipment — the highest resource grade was S+, and the highest equipment grade was Legend Rank..."

The few words Wu Mang dropped before leaving with the other two deans were no different from tossing a bomb onto a calm lake, instantly stirring up towering waves!!
