Chapter 318: Is a Paladin Merely Heavy Armor Support

"The three hidden classes: Ice Archer, Frost Swordsman, and Ice Purifier..."

Zhou Yi's gaze flickered slightly.

His S+ talent, Guardian of the Holy Angel, grants massive amplification to Light and Divine skills.

It was precisely relying on this talent that he stood out among countless class users and reached his current position.

As for the three classes: Ice Archer, Frost Swordsman, and Ice Purifier.

One look shows they have nothing to do with Light or Divine systems.

If he reclasses, his S+ talent would essentially be wasted.

Moreover, his strongest Class Support System also dispenses rewards based on his Paladin class.

For instance, the Gaokao Achievement Quest five months ago, and the current National University Freshman Exchange Tournament Achievement Quest.

Once he chooses to reclass, whether the system will change its rewards remains uncertain...

"What if I don't choose to reclass?" Zhou Yi looked at Zhou Heng.

"Not reclassing is not an option."

Zhou Heng shook his head. "Most skill books in our Zhou family library are built around these three Ice-type hidden classes."

"If you don't choose to reclass, your power growth speed will also slow down significantly."

Actually, to ensure the Zhou family could remain powerful for a long time.

Not only skill books, but many resources and heavenly treasures accumulated by the Zhou family require an Ice Bloodline Awakener who has also reclassed into the corresponding hidden class to be usable.

However...

Unexpectedly, the Zhou family bloodline suffered a curse, and vast resources were hoarded there.

Of course, even class users without the Ice Bloodline could use these resources.

But the effect would be greatly diminished, that is.

"So your meaning is, if I don't choose to undergo the 980 reclass, I cannot receive the Zhou family's cultivation?" Zhou Yi asked.

"Saying it that way isn't wrong either."

Zhou Heng nodded, and at the same time said, "However, once you reclass, you will obtain massive resources!! And you need not worry about leveling issues."

"Obtain massive resources? That is indeed good, but I choose to refuse."

Zhou Yi smiled, then spoke directly without the slightest hesitation.

"Refuse?!"

Zhou Heng was slightly stunned, suspecting something was wrong with his ears.

Zhou Lin and Zhou Donger beside him were also utterly astonished.

"Why?"

Zhou Heng hurriedly said anxiously:

"As long as you choose to join the Zhou family main lineage, within six years, we absolutely can get you to level 50 and perform the third reclass!"

"And regarding the reclass issue, you need not worry either.

After reclassing, all your skills will be reset, skill points returned, and your four attributes will not decrease by a single bit!!"

"I am not worried about resources or reclass side effects; I simply prefer my current class." Zhou Yi grinned.

Actually, judging by his current situation, he really didn't need other resources...

"Current class? Paladin?"

Hearing Zhou Yi's reply, Zhou Heng understood even less:

"A Paladin is merely heavy armor support, while our Zhou family's three hidden classes are all absolute DPS positions; what is there to be reluctant about?"

"A Paladin is merely heavy armor support? I can only say your vision is too short-sighted."

Zhou Yi shook his head, ignored them, stood up, and left directly.

"Zhou Yi..."

Zhou Heng stood up, just about to chase after him.

But he was called back by Zhou Yang beside him:

"Let him go; he hasn't realized the limitations of the Paladin yet."

"Wait until he truly witnesses the terrifying strength of top university DPS positions before seeking him out again."

Hearing this, Zhou Heng was slightly stunned, then quickly realized.

True.

Having just defeated a team captain from a regular university, Zhou Yi was currently in a state of inflated confidence.

Only when he truly faces opponents from other top universities will he realize how weak his Paladin's damage output is.

"Very well, then let us stay here for a while longer..."

On the other side, leaving Qingjing Yaju, Zhou Yi walked directly towards the gymnasium.

Regarding refusing the Zhou family's invitation, he had not a shred of regret.

"However, Xiao Yun also awakened the Ice Bloodline; judging by the commotion of Xiao Yun's awakening last time, the Ice Bloodline concentration should not be low either."

"Moreover, the Ice Purifier among the Zhou family's three hidden classes is the hidden class for the Mage profession, which is just right for Xiao Yun to reclass into."

"But if I let Xiao Yun join the Zhou family main lineage, she will inevitably have to leave Lijiang and go to Tianlan Province..."

When Zhou Heng mentioned Ice Purifier just now, Zhou Yi's first thought was his younger sister Zhou Yun.

However, he did not mention this matter immediately.

After all, having grown up this long, his younger sister Zhou Yun has never left Lijiang City even a single step.

Suddenly not only making her leave Lijiang, but also going to the distant and unfamiliar Tianlan Province, would be an extremely difficult choice for her.

"Wait and ask Little Sister's opinion later; if she is willing to go to Tianlan Province, I will contact the Zhou family then; there is no rush for this moment."

It was clear that the Zhou family was extremely eager to obtain an awakener of the Frostblood lineage.

Because of this, Zhou Yi wasn't worried that missing this opportunity would cause the Zhou family to refuse Zhou Yun.

"Regardless, let's first finish this period's team competition and singles tournament before talking further."

The Zhou family's matters were all secondary; only one's own strength was everything.

And right now, the most important thing for Zhou Yi was to take first place in the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament......

The first day of the singles tournament was divided into two rounds.

(cifa) The morning was the first round, the afternoon the second.

There were a total of 87 contestants in the singles tournament. After a morning of elimination, plus the one player who had a bye,

a total of 44 contestants advanced to the second round.

Among these 44 contestants, Jiang Churan, Song Xialan, and Liu Yang naturally made the list.

In fact, half of these 44 contestants were students from the three top-tier universities......

When the afternoon matches began, Zhou Yi's opponent was an 18th-tier mage from Han City University.

The singles arena was a full 100 meters long and wide, with the two standing 50 meters apart facing each other.

The moment the match began, this mage immediately pulled back his stance.

At the same time, he chanted out a defensive barrier.

Just as he was about to chant an offensive spell again, Zhou Yi's figure had already arrived right in front of him.

What happens when a caster is closed in on by a melee fighter needs no further explanation.

The shattered Holy Light totem stone pillar behind him, mainly used to amplify buff skills, was gripped in Zhou Yi's hand, then smashed down with a single pillar-strike.

Boosted by the Frost Titan bloodline, his physical strength was nothing short of terrifying.

With this pillar-strike, even this mage's Defensive magic shield was smashed straight through!!

Just as the stone pillar was about to make intimate contact with his body, he decisively raised his right hand and chose to surrender.

The second round was no morning first round.

After the first round's selection, the contestants in this round were clearly much stronger.

And Zhou Yi likewise won with an almost crushing posture, naturally drawing considerable attention.

"Hiss! Another instant kill!! Truly worthy of being the captain of Su Hang University!"

"Isn't a Holy Knight mainly specced into Intelligence and Constitution? How can they also possess this kind of burst of strength?"

"Truly worthy of a top-tier university—even a support player pulled out alone is this strong!"

"......"

In the audience stands, the crowd buzzed with discussion.

In his very first match of the morning, Zhou Yi had won over quite a few spectators.
