Chapter 378

By the time the group from Suhang University stepped out of the villa, it was already eight thirty-five and seven seconds.

By this time, many competitors from other schools were already active outside.

"Brother Zhou Yi, good morning!"

As the Hancheng University team passed by, Teacher Zhu Yu nodded slightly to Zhou Yi.

And Zhou Xiaobai even took the initiative to greet them.

Besides that, other student competitors they had met at the competition also greeted Liu Yang, Cai Hua, and the others.

The group waited outside the villa for only a short while before Dean Wu Mang and three other teachers, including Su Mei, came out.

As a Third-Transcendence Practitioner, Wu Mang noticed the unusually intimate interaction between Zhou Yi and Jiang Churan at a single glance.

But he was no old stick-in-the-mud; he immediately realized the two must have officially gotten together.

However, Wu Mang did not care about this.

After all, according to the laws of the Zhongxia Kingdom, eighteen-year-olds are already eligible to marry.

Withdrawing his gaze, Wu Mang spoke heavily to the crowd before him:

"Today is the seventh match of our team competition."

"Our opponents are Modu University, also a top-tier university!"

"If we win this match, the team competition championship will be ours!"

"With championships in both the team competition and the individual competition, even if we fail to win the third event, the Survival Competition, our overall score will definitely be first!"

"Therefore, I hope you will go all out and defeat Modu University!"

"Understood!"

Zhou Yi and the many other members all nodded solemnly.

"Let's go!"

Wu Mang waved his large hand and led Zhou Yi and the group away quickly.

PS: At the start of the month, I'm asking for some monthly tickets. Thank you, great ones, for your support; your support is my motivation to update!!

Just as the group from Suhang University departed from the villa district,

the group from Modu University had already entered the rest area of the gymnasium.

"In today's team competition, we will fight two matches: the first in the morning against Suhang University, and the second in the afternoon against Hancheng University."

"The second match in the afternoon is fine; we can defeat Hancheng University quite easily."

"But what about the first match in the morning... Captain Wei He is still severely injured and has not returned; Zhou Yi alone can sweep through all of us, not to mention top experts like Jiang Churan and Song Xialan..."

"..."

The atmosphere in the entire Modu University rest area was slightly depressed.

Indeed.

The core figure of Modu University is Captain Wei He, a Level 20 Warrior.

The core damage dealer of Modu University is also Wei He.

Now, Captain Wei He was severely injured in yesterday's battle against Zhou Yi; his injuries have not yet healed and he cannot compete.

And unfortunately, the opponent in this morning's team match is also a top-tier university.

Moreover, it is the most difficult to deal with: Suhang University, which currently still maintains a perfect record...

"Sigh, how can we fight this..."

Many competitors from Modu University felt extremely troubled.

If they did not know Zhou Yi's strength, it would be fine; now that they know Zhou Yi's strength, he is like a great mountain, heavily pressing on the hearts of every Modu University competitor.

"Everyone, just do your best."

Su Rui, at the front of the team, moved her red lips slightly: "In this exchange tournament, with Zhou Yi present, we cannot possibly take first place."

As the leading teacher of Modu University, although she could motivate these students through words or even rewards,

there was no need for that...

On one hand, with Wei He severely injured, the strength of the entire Modu University representative team has dropped significantly; even facing Qingjing University, they might not win, let alone Suhang University.

On the other hand, Zhou Yi is indeed formidable.

Melee, spells, support...

Before seeing Zhou Yi, even she, with her rich experience, never imagined a freshman would be so all-around!!

If the strength of all Modu University competitors is rated as 1, then Zhou Yi's strength can be called 2, or even 3!

Zhou Yi alone can almost sweep through an entire top-tier university.

The team match between Suhang University and Qingjing University earlier proved this point very well.

That God's Hand, radiating endless majesty, made even her feel somewhat startled.

With such a Zhou Yi present, the current Suhang University can truly be called invincible...

"It seems the champion of this exchange tournament will be Suhang University again."

Sighing lightly, Su Rui turned to look at all the students behind her; those beautiful phoenix eyes once again radiated the majesty unique to a Third-Transcendence Practitioner:

"Suhang University is indeed very strong; if we lose today's match, I can forgive it."

"However, the day after tomorrow, when Wei He's injuries have fully recovered and he is at full strength, I will not allow you to lose the match against Qingjing University!"

Modu University has ranked last among the three top-tier universities for three consecutive years.

This time, Wei He won the runner-up position in the individual competition; if the team competition also secures second place, then second place overall is guaranteed!

Although their goal before departure was first place.

But plans cannot keep up with changes; with Zhou Yi present, they can only strive for second place.

"Yes!"

The group from Modu University all nodded, their gazes filled with solemnity.

Having ranked dead last among the three top universities for three consecutive years, this year's incoming freshmen also had a fire pent up in their hearts.

They wanted to prove themselves, to prove that Modu University was not the bottom of the top universities!

This time, if they couldn't take first place, then they absolutely had to take second!

A total of 10 universities participated in the final of the National University Freshman Exchange Tournament.

In the team event, each university needed to play one match against each of the other 9 universities.

10 universities, each playing 9 matches.

A total of 45 matches needed to be played, taking eight days in all.

In the earlier period, the team event and the singles event were held in alternation.

Until the singles final concluded, the team event had already been underway for five days.

In other words, after the singles event ended, only three more days were needed before the team event would also officially conclude.

And during those three days, there were two matches that people looked forward to the most.

They were the match between Suhang University and Modu University, and the match between Modu University and Qingjing University.

The first day after the singles event ended was the team match between Suhang University and Modu University.

Therefore, some office workers who were quite busy simply took two days off in a row to watch both matches in full!

Apart from office workers, some industry giants and big shots held the same idea.

As a result, the number of spectators in the stadium that day was actually greater than at yesterday's singles final!

"Modu University's captain Wei He was seriously injured in yesterday's match; he probably won't have recovered by today..."

"Without him, Modu University is destined not to be a match for Suhang University."

"Yeah, even if Wei He were still around, it would still end in defeat."

"......"

The match hadn't even begun, yet the spectators had already drawn their conclusions.

Of course......

That didn't stop them from looking forward to the upcoming match.

After all, examples of comebacks from desperate situations weren't unheard of.
