Chapter 59

"Don't worry, leave it to me. Wanting is only two years older than your sister, so the two of them should be able to get along and have fun together pretty quickly."

Li Yanzhuo hurriedly slapped his chest and started making promises.

Are you kidding? This is a perfect chance to further deepen his relationship with the provincial top scorer—how could he possibly refuse?

"In that case, I'll trouble you, Uncle Li."

Zhou Yi expressed his thanks earnestly.

With this, he was also considerably more at ease about his sister Zhou Yun's safety.

Of course, before leaving, he would also buy Zhou Yun a few magic scrolls and enchanted gear for self-defense.

Only this way could he be sure nothing would go wrong.

There was still some time before the special-recruit student registration.

During this period, the gold-grade weapon Zhou Yi had chosen, the Mysterious Light Warhammer, was also delivered into his hands.

It was a two-handed warhammer about one point eight meters long.

The grip of the hammer's handle was about six centimeters in diameter and roughly one point six meters long, with the hammerhead alone taking up twenty centimeters.

On the thick, long grip of the handle, many mysterious runes had been carved.

Paired with the warhammer's own dark-black metallic texture, a heaviness and ferocious aura unique to great weapons came rushing at him.

Although it belonged to the same great-weapon class as the battle axe, the way the warhammer was used differed quite a bit from the way the battle axe was used.

Thus, during this period.

Zhou Yi began frantically honing his combat skills and getting familiar with his new warhammer weapon.

The battle axe itself carried a sharp attribute; beneath the axe blade, it was easy to cut down an enemy.

For example, the minotaurs in the college-entrance-exam instance—although their bodies were tough, five or six axe strikes from the battle axe still left them dying in regret.

But in actual combat, human enemies would wear light armor, heavy armor, or even plate armor, which had the most freakish physical defense!

High-level monsters and magical beasts also had heavy armor similar to an exoskeleton.

Against heavy armor, the battle axe's killing power dropped considerably.

And at times like this, the warhammer came into great use.

The warhammer emphasized overpowering the foe with raw force.

The broad hammer face—even against an enemy clad in plate armor—the tremendous impact force was enough to transmit through the metal plating and directly smash the enemy's internal organs to pulp!

Of course, to achieve this effect, the warhammer's weight also had to be higher than ordinary equipment.

And the Mysterious Light Warhammer Suhang University sent over met the weight requirement very well.

A full eighty-plus kilograms!!

If he hadn't received the system's reward and raised his various attributes, Zhou Yi really had no way to swing this great-weapon warhammer.

Although his strength was sufficient, the difference between shouldering an eighty-kilogram warhammer and a forty-kilogram battle axe was simply too great.

When he first started training with the new weapon, many of Zhou Yi's movements became distorted because of it.

Fortunately, through the frantic training that followed, he gradually mastered the knack of using the Mysterious Light Warhammer.

His body also grew accustomed to the eighty-kilogram burden, and his movements gradually returned to their previous level.

In fact, they had even risen another step!

Apart from training his combat techniques with the new weapon, the most important thing was still the daily quests.

【Long-distance run (20KM/20KM)】

【Power jump (200/200)】

【Push-ups (200/200)】

【Daily quest completion detected. You may obtain a reward from the following choices.】

【Reward 1: Gain 10 free attribute points.】

【Reward 2: Gain 10 skill points.】

【Reward 3: Random skill book.】

【Reward 4: Random treasure chest.】

After choosing Reward 2.

Zhou Yi instantly gained 10 more skill points.

Light's Punishment, this A-rank skill, was currently the strongest pure-damage skill aside from Hand of God, and leveling it up once cost 20 skill points.

This also meant his daily reward allocation had to set aside a bit more for skill points.

Fortunately.

Although the skill points required to level up Light's Punishment by one were relatively many, its actual combat effect left Zhou Yi very satisfied.

June 19th, 9 p. m., Villa 4-12.

The second floor of this villa had a total of four extraordinary rooms: a bedroom, a media room, a reception room, and an oversized training room.

This training room was a full one hundred and fifty-plus square meters, taking up nearly half of the second floor's total area.

Late at night, the glow of the street lamps in the residential complex passed through the media room's glass and refracted into the second-floor training room.

Zhou Yi, dressed in a loose training outfit, gripped the warhammer and sprinted rapidly around the training room.

Hoo—

Hoo—

While running, he was also continuously swinging the hammer.

The great-weapon warhammer's weight of a full eighty kilograms, as it displaced the air, also produced a dull, heavy sound.

Zhou Yi's figure could be seen constantly changing direction while running.

Even while carrying the astonishingly heavy warhammer, there was not the slightest sense of sluggishness.

"Hiss—"

Suddenly, Zhou Yi stopped in place; the shift from extreme motion to extreme stillness occurred in the blink of an eye.

Yet he showed no sign of losing his balance.

【Strength: 87, Constitution: 94, Agility: 86, Intelligence: 92】

"With the free attributes awarded for my Gaokao achievements and the free attribute points from daily quests, my four basic stats have now reached an average of 89 points.

Compared to the time of the Gaokao, they have doubled..."

Zhou Yi stood holding the hammer.

Now, less than 20 days had passed since the Gaokao ended.

In 20 days, the four basic stats had doubled!!

If this news were to spread, it would surely shock countless people.

Of course, the four basic stats are merely the most basic manifestation of strength.

If one adds the God's Hand and the Punishment of Light, these S-rank Divine Arts and A-rank Rare Skills, his true power can be described as terrifying!!

Now, about to depart for Suzhou Hangzhou University, Zhou Yi, whose strength had nowhere to be displayed, actually looked forward to the arrival of the chosen ones from all corners of the land.

"Xiao Yun..."

"If you encounter any difficulties at school or in daily life, remember to call me directly.

If you cannot reach me, then find Uncle Li and Sister Wanting.

Also, remember to take one Blood-Nourishing Pill every week. If you are afraid of forgetting, you can take two extra pills in a week; do not worry about the cost."

Arriving on the first floor, Zhou Yi sat beside Zhou Yun and gave his instructions.

The Blood-Nourishing Pill is a medicine that enhances Constitution; it has no side effects, and even taking extra doses will cause no problems.

"I have Sister Wanting and Second Aunt with me, so there is nothing to worry about.

Brother, it is you who must be extra careful when you are alone away from home."

Tomorrow they would part; even the usually youthful Zhou Yun lost her usual liveliness.

Sitting curled up on the sofa, her entire delicate, fair face bore an expression of unmistakable disappointment.

With their parents deceased, the brother and sister had relied on each other for survival.

Even during hospitalization, they could see each other every day.

But now, they still faced the situation of being separated for a period due to their studies.
