Chapter 126: The Battle Outside the Mahjong Room (Part 1)

After Zhao Yuxin dragged Zhu Zhiquan into the small house, she criticized him: "Zhu Zhiquan, can't you be a little lighter? What's the matter? Do you want to be discovered by other players?"

Zhu Zhiquan hung his head, silently listening to Zhao Yuxin's criticism without daring to make a sound. The Green Leaf Burrowing Vine at his waist also silently moved to Zhao Yuxin's heels and rubbed against them, as if begging for food.

Looking at the silent Zhu Zhiquan, and given that they were still in a dangerous place, Zhao Yuxin found it difficult to keep criticizing him, so she said: "Alright, a grown man hanging his head like that is embarrassing! Go check the kitchen!"

Zhu Zhiquan did not speak, but walked straight to the kitchen to see if there was any tea.

Zhao Yuxin watched Zhu Zhiquan enter the kitchen, put the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine into a bottle of water herself, and then stuffed a bag of fertilizer into the bottle.

After putting the bottle containing the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine into her backpack, Zhao Yuxin prepared to enter a mahjong room to see if she could swipe some mahjong tiles.

But just as she approached a mahjong room, she noticed light coming from a room with the door ajar. Out of curiosity, Zhao Yuxin pushed the door open and saw a mysterious merchant sitting next to a mahjong table.

Immediately, the system prompt sounded: "You have found the mysterious merchant; please produce items that satisfy it to conduct a trade."

Zhao Yuxin first sent a private message to Zhu Zhiquan, then sat down opposite the mysterious merchant and asked: "May I see what you are selling here?"

The mysterious merchant gave Zhao Yuxin a tablet computer, then pressed a button on the mahjong table, and mahjong tiles rose from the table one by one.

Zhao Yuxin opened the tablet and saw the dazzling array of goods inside. Seeing the prices, Zhao Yuxin couldn't help but exclaim in surprise: "Twenty, forty, twenty-five... Are you sure your goods can sell at such high prices?"

The mysterious merchant did not respond, and Zhao Yuxin prepared to stand up and leave. But just then, she noticed a tiny exclamation mark in the top right corner of the tablet screen, and she immediately clicked to view it.

Then a pop-up appeared, which read: "Play mahjong with the mysterious merchant. If you win once, any one item is 30% off; if you win twice in a row, any one item is 50% off; if you win three times in a row, any one item is free.

Conversely, the player will have one item randomly extracted from their person by the mysterious merchant. Please state your skill level!"

After reading the information in the pop-up, Zhao Yuxin couldn't help but tilt her nose to the sky and say: "Hmph, so it's that simple! Let me tell you, I'm very good at mahjong! As a merchant, don't go back on your word if you can't afford to lose~"

The mysterious merchant did not respond, but just sat silently in place waiting for Zhao Yuxin to trade.

"Come, let me see what you have first." Zhao Yuxin browsed through the goods. During this time, Zhu Zhiquan came to her side from the kitchen. Seeing that she was still selecting items, he silently put down his backpack and sat next to her.

Soon, Zhao Yuxin took a fancy to two items: one was a Primary Talent Upgrade Card, and the other was a pot of wine.

Name: Rejuvenation Brew

Quality: Green

Description: This is a pot of wine that can restore health points; drinking it can quickly restore 15% of health points.

After Zhao Yuxin selected the items, she wanted to invite Zhu Zhiquan to play mahjong together. But just then, her ears twitched, and she turned her head to see a pillar of light descending outside the door.

Afterward, two people walked out from inside, and these two people were exactly the two players Zhao Yuxin had seen outside the small house earlier.

Among them, the balding man suddenly picked up the broadsword carried on his back. As the wrapping cloth fell away, a broadsword with four rings was revealed.

Afterward, the balding man swung it with great force, and a heavy, powerful slash flew toward Zhu Zhiquan and the others.

Just as Zhu Zhiquan was about to block this strike for Zhao Yuxin, a giant mahjong tile appeared at the doorway, blocking the swift and violent slash.

Just as everyone was confused, everyone received a system prompt in their minds, though the information received by the two sides was not quite the same.

"The mysterious merchant sensed that the trading partner might have their trade interrupted, so it actively blocked the attack and issued a warning to the attacker."

After reading the system prompt, Zhao Yuxin turned to the players who had attacked them and mocked: "Come on, hit us if you can. I'm trading with the mysterious merchant right now, so you can't hit me, aren't you mad? Pfft~"

The two players outside the door looked at Zhao Yuxin's infuriating expression, gritted their teeth in anger, and then discussed what to do.

Zhu Zhiquan silently blocked Zhao Yuxin's body with his own, while vibrating the Xuangang Spear in his hand. The Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow on his left wrist was also in standby mode, and the Wrist Energy Shield on his right wrist and the Wave Energy Scimitar at his waist were ready at all times.

After Zhao Yuxin won a round, she saw Zhu Zhiquan still guarding behind her, so she tugged on his clothes and said: "Ajiu, you sit down and play too. I just won a round, don't worry, I'll carry us this time, let's fleece it bald together!"

Zhu Zhiquan nodded slightly, preparing to sit beside Zhao Yuxin. Suddenly, the woman with vertical pupils took out a strange weapon; this weapon had a Ghost Claw on one end and a copper hammer the size of a fist on the other, connected in the middle by a rope.

She quickly swung the copper hammer and aimed the Ghost Claw at Zhu Zhiquan, and immediately Zhu Zhiquan was violently sucked out of the mahjong room by a huge suction force.

Zhao Yuxin had just finished another round with the mysterious merchant, but seeing Zhu Zhiquan sucked out of the room, she instinctively wanted to stand up, but found she could not leave her seat.

Looking at the mysterious merchant, this mysterious merchant had been keeping its head down the whole time, its large hood obscuring its features, making it impossible to see its face.

At the same time, the balding man raised the Four-Ring Broadsword, preparing to cut Zhu Zhiquan in half at the waist.

After being sucked out of the mahjong room, Zhu Zhiquan immediately activated the Nightmare Demon Eye, while aiming the Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow at the woman with vertical pupils.

When the Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow was aimed at the woman with vertical pupils, her vertical pupils immediately captured the firing process of the crossbow, and she immediately dove to the ground, barely dodging the bolt.

After the woman with vertical pupils dodged, the suction force acting on Zhu Zhiquan immediately disappeared, and he then used Boiling Blood on the balding man.

Seeing Zhu Zhiquan counterattack, the balding man clearly did not expect that Zhu Zhiquan could still fight back, so he held the Four-Ring Broadsword in front of him to block the attack.

Boom!!!

The huge force made his hands tremble. Just as he lowered the Four-Ring Broadsword, he saw that Zhu Zhiquan had already leveled the Xuangang Spear and thrust it toward him.

Fortunately, he reacted quickly, pushing Zhu Zhiquan's Xuangang Spear away with both hands on the Four-Ring Broadsword, but even so, a small nick was left on his sleeve.

Immediately after, Zhu Zhiquan attacked the balding man continuously, while the balding man held the hilt with one hand and the back of the blade with the other to block Zhu Zhiquan's attacks.

Suddenly, Zhu Zhiquan dodged to the side, and a copper hammer tied to a rope flew past his throat. Before Zhu Zhiquan could stand steady, a Ghost Claw with a rope attached to its tail fell from above his head.

Zhu Zhiquan immediately activated the Boiling Blood talent, jumped onto a table, and rolled to dodge the attack.

As soon as he landed, he saw the copper hammer smashing toward him again. Zhu Zhiquan instinctively blocked it, but the copper hammer wrapped around the Xuangang Spear twice, and the rope tied to the tail tightly bound his weapon.

Zhu Zhiquan began to grapple with the woman with vertical pupils, but at this moment, the balding man raised his broadsword as if to split a mountain, hacking toward the top of his head.

Zhu Zhiquan had no choice but to abandon the Xuangang Spear, rolled on the ground to dodge the man's horizontal broadsword slash, and then knelt on the ground, picked up a nearby chair, and threw it at the man.
