Chapter 153: Large Nest

Zhao Yuxin jumped out of the carriage, the Xunfeng Crossbow in her hands aimed dead-on at the front.

Aided by the illumination of the headlights, one could see a two-meter-tall lizard trapped by a large animal trap, its green blood flowing onto the ground and emitting a nauseating, putrid stench.

Zhu Zhiquan felt that this lizard would not pose a threat to him, so he tiptoed to the side of the lizard to observe it at close range.

"Ajiu, are you trying to get yourself killed! Come back quickly!" Zhao Yuxin was so frightened that she entered the driver's seat to charge the Vehicle-mounted Vortex Cannon.

But Zhu Zhiquan turned a deaf ear to this, squatting on the ground to carefully observe everything on the floor; soon he made a discovery and beckoned to Zhao Yuxin.

Zhao Yuxin also couldn't understand what Zhu Zhiquan was doing, but seeing that Zhu Zhiquan was indeed fine, she still jumped off the Tricycle, preparing to go over. Before leaving, she had the Ice Cream Cactus in the carriage sit in the driver's seat to prevent any accidents.

After Zhao Yuxin arrived at Zhu Zhiquan's side, Zhu Zhiquan pointed at the ground, and Zhao Yuxin saw rows of footprints wandering around the animal trap, and there was also a thin film covering the lizard's body.

Seeing these traces, Zhao Yuxin immediately judged: "This was done by Magma Cave Ant-men! Ajiu, we had better take a detour; I don't want to run into this bunch of guys!"

But Zhu Zhiquan had an eager look on his face, wishing he could meet the Magma Cave Ant-men right now to stretch his muscles, and it would be best if he could even use the General Ant to practice his skills!

Seeing that Zhu Zhiquan's old habit had flared up again, Zhao Yuxin grabbed him by the ear and dragged him to the carriage, and had the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine dig out a tunnel.

After the Tricycle entered the tunnel, Zhao Yuxin first listed some healing items on the Trading Channel and then asked: "Ajiu, let's just dig a tunnel and leave for the remaining day or two; we aren't lacking these supplies anyway, and this way we can reach the surface faster."

Zhu Zhiquan: "Indeed, but the plants you create can be listed, right?"

Zhao Yuxin: "Yes, but we don't have enough to eat. Once the trading volume goes up, can we feed the Food-Eating Doll?"

"Don't you have fast-maturing ones among those modified plants? You can take those to eat too; surely you can't feed them to the Food-Eating Doll?"

"I can, but they haven't matured yet! At the very least, it will have to be the next world."

"Then we can also try trading for some food."

"Do you think food is that easy to trade for! You think other people's Food-Eating Dolls don't need to eat?"

"Then let's drive the Tricycle back to the east tunnel, hoard some food first, and then we'll dig upwards at full speed tomorrow."

"Okay."

After Zhu Zhiquan and Zhao Yuxin discussed it, he trained alone in a corner of the carriage, while Zhao Yuxin guided the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine to connect to the underground passage at the right time.

As they continued to advance, Zhao Yuxin relied on her Bat Wing Ear to discover that many large magical beasts were trapped in the underground passage, and there were also Magma Cave Ant-men transporting these beasts.

"Stop!" At Zhao Yuxin's command, the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine immediately stopped digging, and the Ice Cream Cactus also stepped on the brakes.

Subsequently, Zhao Yuxin jumped off the Tricycle, walked back a few steps to avoid being discovered, dug a hole between the tunnel and the underground passage with a Xuangang Spear, and shone a flashlight into the passage.

The light emitted by the flashlight appeared exceptionally conspicuous in the underground passage, which caught the attention of some transporting Magma Cave Worker Ants, who then notified the nearby Magma Cave Soldier Ants.

But by the time the Magma Cave Soldier Ants approached, Zhao Yuxin had already turned off the flashlight, sprinkled Gajia Magic Potion at the hole, and retreated into the Tricycle.

When the Magma Cave Ant-men arrived at the hole and looked inside, they found it pitch black and empty; coupled with the Gajia Magic Potion masking their scent, the Magma Cave Soldier Ants simply didn't notice anything unusual.

Once the Magma Cave Soldier Ants left, Zhao Yuxin shone the flashlight at the hole again, and the Magma Cave Soldier Ants ran back one after another to continue checking, but when they approached the hole, Zhao Yuxin immediately turned off the flashlight and ran back into the Tricycle.

After repeating this who knows how many times, the Magma Cave Soldier Ants were left dizzy and confused, so they sent a worker ant to report the intelligence.

And the culprit was covering her mouth, secretly recording the embarrassing situation of the Magma Cave Ant-men.

"It seems these basic Magma Cave Ant-men really aren't very bright, but we should go too." Zhao Yuxin descended to set off again, and the sound of digging and the Tricycle's engine transmitted from the observation hole, scaring the Magma Cave Ant-men into hiding behind their prey.

Zhao Yuxin directed the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine to dig along the passage all the way, and relying on her Bat Wing Ear's perception of sound waves, she discovered that there were too many Magma Cave Ant-men in the passages along the way!

At this time, Zhu Zhiquan had also finished exercising and inadvertently opened the World Channel to check the content, but soon he said with a dark face: "Other players have also encountered large groups of Magma Cave Ant-men."

Zhao Yuxin: "Then has anyone on their side encountered Magma Cave Ant-men transporting food on a large scale?"

Zhu Zhiquan shook his head, which made Zhao Yuxin start to mutter, "Why are we the only ones encountering this situation? Could it be that we happened to run into their grain transport team?"

Zhu Zhiquan became immediately interested in her muttering and kept asking Zhao Yuxin for the ins and outs. Zhao Yuxin couldn't refuse him, so she had to tell him everything that happened while he was exercising.

Suddenly, Zhao Yuxin sensed a huge space ahead and immediately told the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine to stop. Because she felt a sudden large space in front, perhaps digging further would lead to the nest of the Magma Cave Ant-men!

At first, Zhao Yuxin had the Green Leaf Burrowing Vine change direction to dig, but no matter how it dug, it couldn't break through; helpless, she could only have the Ice Cream Cactus reverse the vehicle to see how other places were.

But right in the huge space they were about to dig into, a wizard-like Magma Cave Ant-man held a palm-sized Crystal Ball in its hand, which was displaying the scene for several kilometers around.

This included the scene of the entire grain transport team, as well as the scenes of multiple players. And the fact that Zhu Zhiquan and the others were suddenly unable to turn was caused by it!

If there were players who had obtained and studied "Magma Cave Ant-men Species and Countermeasures," they would know that this type of Magma Cave Ant-man is called a Magma Ant Wizard, a mage-class Magma Cave Ant-man.

At this moment, standing behind it was a General Ant of the Magma Cave Ant-men—the Magma Cave Great General; it was the general who stood guard and coordinated the large nest on behalf of the Insect Emperor.

Facing the impending volcanic eruption, it preferred to catch all the prey in one fell swoop! Therefore, it would not let the prey escape under its nose, let alone the fact that several pieces of prey had already reached its doorstep; how could it let them go?

The Magma Cave Great General looked at the Magma Ant Wizard's Crystal Ball and emitted a unique pheromone; then, the Magma Cave Ant Generals in front of it cupped their fists one after another and led their respective teams along the passages to hunt the players.

One of the Magma Cave Ant Generals dug continuously, connecting the tunnel Zhu Zhiquan and the others had dug to the underground passage, and led the Ant Swarm into it in an orderly fashion.

And at the entrance of the tunnel where Zhu Zhiquan and the others were digging, the Ant Swarm of Magma Cave Ant-men also entered the tunnel, preparing to pincer Zhu Zhiquan and the others.

Furthermore, in various parts of the underground passage, many Magma Cave Ant-men crawled out of secret chambers and headed toward the passages where players were located.

Moreover, these secret chambers were covered by special Magic Power, which could not be detected by ordinary detection methods; in less than a quarter of an hour, the passage was filled with Magma Cave Ant-men.
