Chapter 320: Cave Exploration (Part 6)

After the one-eyed monkey troop broke through the Flower Knot Maze City, they followed the orders of the One-Eyed Monkey King and pursued Zhu Zhiquan and his group along the tunnel, while by this time, Zhu Zhiquan had already brought Gelina to the other end of the tunnel.

At this moment, he had the Frost Shooters stay on both sides of the tunnel entrance to provide fire support, the Hook-Lock Treant stood next to the Frost Shooters, ready to take them away at any time, while Gelina was responsible for finding Zhao Yuxin.

"B-but I can still keep fighting..." Gelina whispered in Zhu Zhiquan's ear, her hands rubbing back and forth over her lower abdomen.

Zhu Zhiquan did not rush to attend to Gelina's emotions, but instead felt the vibrations of the ground, his face still wearing an expression of excitement; he did not know when he would encounter such a satisfying battle again.

After sensing the coming great battle, Zhu Zhiquan patiently explained to Gelina: "Gelina, remember, after finding Mom, ask her for some Landmine Pinecones; you can find the newly dug tunnel by following this path.

The Green Leaf Burrowing Vine is about to dig to the location of another Purple Material Box; if you hurry over now, it will have just finished digging through the other tunnel.

At that time, Mom will give all the Landmine Pinecones to you, and you just need to set these Landmine Pinecones along this path, then fly over and call out to us, and we will take turns retreating.

Remember not to set too many Landmine Pinecones on this path, otherwise, it will be difficult for us to retreat in the other passage." After speaking, he closed his Nightmare Demon Eye to reduce the consumption of his eyes.

After hearing her task, Gelina finally understood that she was not leaving the battlefield entirely, but going to set up a new defensive line.

Thinking of this, Gelina nodded solemnly and flew forward along the passage.

At this time, the figures of the one-eyed monkey troop could already be seen slowly, and Zhu Zhiquan immediately took an Explosive Chili out of his backpack and threw it into the tunnel.

Instantly, the shockwave from the Explosive Chili's detonation and the Chili dust rushed out of the tunnel entrance, and screams came from inside the tunnel.

Soon, the One-Eyed Monkey King purified the Chili dust filling the tunnel, and this monkey troop advanced toward the tunnel entrance once again.

However, after multiple rounds of attrition, there were fewer than 40 monkeys in this troop capable of fighting, and even if those still in the back receiving treatment were counted, their number was less than 60.

Such losses made the One-Eyed Monkey King very hot-headed; no matter what, he had to drive out this group of intruders who had broken into their territory, otherwise, how could he continue to be the monkey king in the future? Therefore, it was impossible for him to order a retreat!

Thus, he activated a skill, condensed a vine armor for the one-eyed monkeys in front, and pointed at the tunnel entrance while roaring.

After receiving the monkey king's order, all the one-eyed monkeys roared and charged toward the tunnel entrance, determined to take revenge for their fallen comrades!

But when the first one-eyed monkey rushed to the tunnel entrance, Zhu Zhiquan swept the opponent's legs with the Jingtian Pozhen Gun, then kicked it away, and took the opportunity to throw an Ion Chimera Bomb inside.

The one-eyed monkeys that were about to continue their charge saw a round object fall in and could not help but stop their steps to look at it curiously.

Boom!

Suddenly, the Ion Chimera Bomb exploded, and those curious one-eyed monkeys were covered in fragments from the blast, but these fragments did not penetrate their skin or flesh, and did not even cause any damage to their eyes.

The monkeys that had been hit by the blast rubbed their eyes, trying to clear out the explosion fragments inside.

Watching this group of one-eyed monkeys rubbing their eyes, Zhu Zhiquan understood that this Ion Chimera Bomb was about to be phased out.

But at the same time, he rushed into the tunnel, the Jingtian Pozhen Gun in his hand wreathed with a Thunder Dragon, and swung it toward the one-eyed monkey at the very front.

Bang!

The Jingtian Pozhen Gun struck this one-eyed monkey, causing it to lose its balance; then, Zhu Zhiquan took advantage of the momentum to step forward and deliver a knee strike to send it flying, before quickly delivering a front kick to another one-eyed monkey.

The one-eyed monkey that was front-kicked was sent flying into its companion, and the powerful force caused the companions behind to topple backward like dominoes, though they were eventually steadied by the One-Eyed Monkey King.

And that one-eyed monkey hit by Zhu Zhiquan's knee strike flew a distance past its companion's head before crashing heavily into the companions behind.

At this time, Zhu Zhiquan tripped the one-eyed monkey in front of him, then quickly returned to the tunnel entrance, standing straight and looking at this group of one-eyed monkeys.

After being disrupted by Zhu Zhiquan, the One-Eyed Monkey King immediately ordered the one-eyed monkeys with injured eyes to retreat, and the other one-eyed monkeys took the opportunity to rush up.

Immediately, the monkey troop charged toward the tunnel entrance again, and Zhu Zhiquan took the opportunity to throw two more Ion Chimera Bombs into the tunnel.

This time, the monkey troop learned their lesson and did not stare straight at the object; instead, a one-eyed monkey wearing vine armor pounced on it, taking all the damage.

The remaining one-eyed monkeys stepped on its body and charged at Zhu Zhiquan at the tunnel entrance, but just as they rushed to the entrance, the Frost Shooters on both sides immediately fired at them.

This group of one-eyed monkeys was hit by the ice shards shot by the Frost Shooters; even with the protection of the vine armor, the cold air quickly spread throughout their bodies, greatly reducing their speed.

This also allowed Zhu Zhiquan to seize the opportunity again, swinging the Jingtian Pozhen Gun continuously to knock down multiple one-eyed monkeys, and until the shield of the Barbarian Saint Armor disappeared, this group of one-eyed monkeys still could not break through Zhu Zhiquan's defensive line.

Seeing his subordinates' attack blocked once again, the One-Eyed Monkey King immediately grabbed a Stone Axe and rushed to the front, while simultaneously ordering the monkey troop to start climbing along the sides, determined to take out the Frost Shooters on both sides.

The one-eyed monkeys in front immediately split into two groups, one building a ladder at the tunnel entrance and the other rushing toward Zhu Zhiquan, attempting to use their bodies to obstruct Zhu Zhiquan's advance.

But before this ladder was even half-built, the Hook-Lock Treant shot out a large number of Vines, causing the one-eyed monkeys building the ladder to fall heavily to the ground.

Seeing this, the One-Eyed Monkey King, who had arrived at the cave entrance, stomped his foot hard, and instantly a Vine sprouted from under Zhu Zhiquan's feet, gradually binding his legs.

When Zhu Zhiquan drew his Five-Star Sword, he used the Jingtian Pozhen Gun to strike the approaching one-eyed monkeys.

The one-eyed monkeys in the front saw that Zhu Zhiquan's movements were restricted and immediately focused their attacks on his legs, attempting to knock Zhu Zhiquan down.

But the tunnel was far too narrow, and the one-eyed monkeys in the back could not quickly reach the front row to surround him; coupled with the interference from the Frost Shooters and the Hook-Lock Treant, this group of one-eyed monkeys simply could not gain any advantage.

Thus, Zhu Zhiquan quickly knocked down the nearest one-eyed monkeys, then quickly bent down to cut the Vines on his legs.

Due to the continuous fighting, the Five-Star Sword was no longer as sharp as it was at the beginning, and he could only parry the opponent's attacks while laboriously cutting the Vines.

It was also at this time that the One-Eyed Monkey King rushed over and smashed down heavily toward Zhu Zhiquan.

Zhu Zhiquan was not inferior; he held the Five-Star Sword up with one hand to block, while using the Jingtian Pozhen Gun to thrust toward the monkey king's chest with the other.

Snap~

The Five-Star Sword could not withstand the pressure and was snapped by the Stone Axe, while at the same time, the Jingtian Pozhen Gun successfully hit the One-Eyed Monkey King's chest, knocking him back a step.

Then, Zhu Zhiquan threw the broken sword at the One-Eyed Monkey King and took the opportunity to snatch a weapon from a one-eyed monkey, preparing to crouch down to untie the bindings on his legs.

But at this moment, a roar came from somewhere in the cave, which caused both sides, who were in the middle of a slaughter, to pause for an instant, and then the One-Eyed Monkey King led the remaining one-eyed monkeys and retreated.

While Zhu Zhiquan was puzzled, Zhao Yuxin's private message was sent over, which finally made him understand what was going on.
