Chapter 339: Entering the Sky City

Just now, more and more mushrooms appeared on the path ahead, forcing Gelina to slow down while continuously using the Acid Flower Cannon to counterattack.

The pursuing squad behind finally managed to catch up by utilizing the terrain, only to be struck by the liquid fired from the Acid Flower Cannon and eroded by its terrifying corrosiveness.

Seeing the power of the Acid Flower Cannon, the remaining soldiers dared not pursue too closely; they maintained a distance and fired their guns directly once the range was sufficient.

As for those mushrooms that had inexplicably grown, these were the mushrooms Zhu Zhiquan had seen again through the reflection of the Jingtian Pozhen Gun.

Following his observation, he discovered that this group of mushrooms was gradually growing eyes and, step by step, growing limbs, standing up from the ground.

Zhu Zhiquan pulled himself away and shouted to Gelina, "Gelina, use every means you have, break out!"

Zhao Yuxin, relying on the hearing of her Bat Wing Ear, quickly captured the movement outside the vehicle, so she placed Xuebao on the bed and softly soothed its emotions.

"Azhao, how much material reserve do we have left?" Zhu Zhiquan said to Zhao Yuxin with a grave expression.

Zhao Yuxin immediately took out the Space Necklace on her person, poured out all the supplies inside, and then secretly looked at the mushrooms outside the vehicle to obtain their information.

Name: Mushroom Folk

Type: Plant

Introduction: A type of intelligent life evolved from mushrooms, possessing a basic social structure. They are classified as Mushroom Folk based on their characteristics and status, and their intelligence is roughly that of an eight-year-old human.

Zhu Zhiquan counted roughly and found that there were over four thousand rounds of ammunition for the Quantum Pulse Machine Gun, two Five-Star Swords, and 3 Ion Chimera Bombs.

"This is all our current weapon reserve. Most of the supplies in the carriage have been used up. Currently, this is all the firepower I have at my disposal, and Gelina is the only Combat Plant left." Saying this, Zhao Yuxin lowered her head.

Zhu Zhiquan hugged Zhao Yuxin, "No matter, we just need to fight our way out."

"Mm." Zhao Yuxin also hugged Zhu Zhiquan, "I believe we will definitely escape."

"Hmm?" Xuebao tilted its head, not understanding what was wrong with them, but still took the initiative to give the two a hug and kept licking their faces.

At this moment, those Mushroom Folk that had grown from the ground launched a charge at the Tricycle, and many mushrooms jumped onto the roof of the vehicle, preparing to destroy the weapons on it.

Just as they jumped onto the roof, Zhu Zhiquan activated Hell Lament, wanting to perform a soul strike. But this group of Mushroom Folk seemed unaffected at all and continued to damage their vehicle.

At the same time, Gelina kept turning the handle, shaking off a portion of the Mushroom Folk. But there were simply too many Mushroom Folk growing around; as soon as one batch was shaken off, another jumped up.

After hugging Zhao Yuxin and Xuebao, Zhu Zhiquan grabbed the Jingtian Pozhen Gun, let his rage burn his blood, and prepared to counterattack.

Zhao Yuxin had Xuebao load the Quantum Pulse Machine Gun and reminded Zhu Zhiquan, "Ajiu, these mushrooms are not afraid of your Hell Lament, remember to be careful."

Zhu Zhiquan did not respond; he picked up a Five-Star Sword, climbed directly from the window to the roof of the vehicle, and knocked down the Mushroom Folk that had jumped up.

Gelina also occasionally had the Tricycle perform S-shaped maneuvers to reduce the possibility of Mushroom Folk jumping onto the vehicle to destroy weapons, while simultaneously controlling the Acid Flower Cannon and the Vehicle-mounted Vortex Cannon to fire in turns, reducing the number of Mushroom Folk as much as possible.

While they were resisting the Mushroom Folk, some mycelia secretly emerged from the ground, deliberately lying across the Tricycle's path, and quickly entangled the tires as the Tricycle passed, making the Tricycle slower and slower.

This was quickly noticed by Zhao Yuxin, and she immediately controlled the last Five-Star Sword, attempting to sever the mycelia.

But these mycelia were incomparably tough, and Zhao Yuxin could not cut them at all for a while, so she shouted to Zhu Zhiquan, "Ajiu, the tires are about to be entangled, the Five-Star Sword cannot cut them open quickly."

Hearing this, Zhu Zhiquan activated Phoenix Cloud Fire to create four fire phoenixes to circle around them; the scorching high temperature of the fire phoenixes caused the Mushroom Folk to be ignited the moment they made contact.

Then Zhu Zhiquan drew the Five-Star Sword and performed Ghost Fire Attachment on it, then controlled the Five-Star Sword to cut the mycelia entangled on the tires.

The Five-Star Sword, after being attached with Ghost Fire, cut through the mycelia very easily, allowing the Tricycle's speed to increase somewhat. But a large amount of mycelia continued to emerge from the surroundings, attempting to trap Zhu Zhiquan and the others to death here.

Coupled with the fact that Mushroom Folk were still constantly emerging from the ground, this made Zhu Zhiquan realize that if they dragged it out like this, they would inevitably be dragged to death, so he called out to Zhao Yuxin.

Zhao Yuxin also understood Zhu Zhiquan's idea, so she activated the Clone skill of the Five-Star Sword, splitting into four long swords to drag their Tricycle toward a city in the sky.

Seeing that the target was about to fly away, the Mushroom soldiers left behind fired a few shots at the Tricycle in the air and sent a burst of brainwaves to the city in the sky.

However, even if they did not transmit brainwaves, those cities in the sky already knew the situation below. After all, the fighting here was so intense that it was impossible not to be noticed.

Players in the vicinity also noticed the situation on their side, and while staying away from them, they discussed on the World Channel who was so fierce, daring to go to war with the natives on the very first day!

Mid-air, Zhao Yuxin stuck her head out of the window and shouted at the nearest sky city, and soon judged based on the returned sound waves, "Ajiu, be careful, there are quite a few eyes in these cities watching us!"

Zhu Zhiquan looked coldly into the distance and discovered a Great Wall on the horizon, where human armies were fighting a great battle against the Fungal Army.

Unfortunately, that place was too far away from them at the moment, and it was impossible to fly there; afterwards, Zhu Zhiquan looked at his panel.

After reading his information, Zhu Zhiquan looked at the city they were approaching with a grave expression.

At this time, in this city, there was not a single shadow of a living person; the roads were covered with moss and weeds, and the roads were also full of cracks.

Most of the houses on both sides had already collapsed, leaving only ruins all over the ground to tell of its former prosperity.

Although Zhu Zhiquan did not see where the danger was, he could clearly feel that there were many eyes in these ruins staring straight at them.

At this, the veins on the hand Zhu Zhiquan used to grip the Jingtian Pozhen Gun bulged, and an excited smile appeared on his face, because he felt that such a battle would be more interesting.

Zhao Yuxin saw that Zhu Zhiquan was still dazed on the roof and couldn't help but urge, "Ajiu~ what are you still doing up there? Aren't you afraid that a hidden arrow will pop out from somewhere and finish you off? I won't help you find items to revive then!"
