Chapter 43: Victory

The disheveled female player beside her replied, "Because we want to survive."

Zhu Zhiquan and Zhao Yuxin frowned, seemingly somewhat suspicious of their words.

The female player with the ponytail explained, "I think you have seen it too; there are currently at least two cars of players approaching you, which means you have to face at least four people. The pressure must be immense, right?

The reason we are seeking an alliance with you is actually because we cannot find other suitable people to ally with, and since you were able to pass the first round, your strength is undoubtedly extraordinary. Plus, since you are in trouble now, it is only natural to seek an alliance with you."

Zhao Yuxin took a step forward and asked, "Alright then, how do you want to cooperate?"

The other disheveled female player replied, "It's simple: you are responsible for attracting their firepower, and the two of us will find an opportunity to ambush them."

Zhao Yuxin and Zhu Zhiquan lowered their heads to exchange a few words and decided to cooperate with these two female players.

The four of them formulated a detailed battle plan. The two female players prepared to find a suitable position to lie in ambush, but Zhao Yuxin suddenly called out to them and sent them friend requests.

The two female players smiled and accepted the friend requests, after which they quickly found an ambush spot and hid.

Soon, six people slowly walked over from a distance. Red and yellow beams of light enveloped four of them; Zhao Yuxin and Zhu Zhiquan were very familiar with the two people enveloped by the yellow beams.

These two were none other than the player who could turn into a mole and the woman who could increase the size of her weapons.

Zhu Zhiquan rested his Dagger Spear on his shoulder, sat on the ground with one arm around Zhao Yuxin, and pressed his other hand against the Dingtang Sword at his waist, a blade of grass hanging from his mouth, his Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow in a closed state.

Zhao Yuxin, meanwhile, was leaning in his arms, her left hand strapped with a Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow and wrapped around the back of Zhu Zhiquan's neck, her right hand holding the Dingtang Sword in front of her chest.

The two of them looked as if they did not care about the approaching people. Zhu Zhiquan glanced slightly at the six people coming toward them and said in a disdainful tone, "Ah, Azhao, look, some old friends of ours have come here."

The Mole Player took the initiative to respond, "Not bad. It is the two of us now, bringing along two helpers, with the goal of finishing off every player except for us."

"Pfft—" Zhu Zhiquan spat out the grass in his mouth and stood up silently; Zhao Yuxin also stood up with Zhu Zhiquan.

The Mole Player immediately activated his talent to turn into a mole, and the other five people also activated their respective talents.

One person had black spherical objects appear around their body, one person's body became sticky, one person had black flying insects crawling out of them, and another person's body showed no changes at all from their surroundings.

Just as everyone thought they could let loose, two Arrows suddenly struck the two people without light beams, and the green light beams on Zhu Zhiquan and Zhao Yuxin immediately transferred to the two female players.

The other four people sensed danger and immediately scattered. Zhao Yuxin and Zhu Zhiquan once again faced the Mole Player and his female teammate, while the two female players faced the two players enveloped by the red light beams.

The Mole Player wanted to burrow into the ground but was blocked by a Crossbow Bolt fired by Zhao Yuxin. Seeing that he had no chance to burrow, the Mole Player simply charged at Zhao Yuxin, while Zhu Zhiquan rushed toward his teammate.

The Mole Player clumsily swung his sharp claws at Zhao Yuxin, and Zhao Yuxin clumsily swung the Dingtang Sword to block cautiously.

The female player on the side threw a Short Spear while running. The Short Spear grew larger in mid-air toward Zhu Zhiquan, but Zhu Zhiquan dodged the incoming Short Spear with ease, his face full of disappointment in his opponent.

The woman knew that Zhu Zhiquan was formidable in close combat, so she kept her distance from him. Suddenly, Zhu Zhiquan's skin turned flushed, water vapor constantly rose around him, and a thick killing intent enveloped the woman, making her feel the threat of death.

Whoosh!

Zhu Zhiquan appeared in front of the woman as if he had flashed. The woman screamed and fell to the ground, her body limp and powerless. Before she could let out a final cry, Zhu Zhiquan stabbed her to death with one spear thrust.

After killing the woman, Zhu Zhiquan deactivated Boiling Blood, took a water bottle from his backpack to drink continuously, and guided Zhao Yuxin in her fight from the side.

In a building, the two female players were dueling with the two players enveloped by the red light beams. Everywhere around them were destroyed office desks and chairs, as well as scattered Arrows.

The two players they were facing were the ones who could release flying insects and black spherical objects; both sides maintained a certain distance to conduct ranged attacks.

"Phantom Body!" the disheveled female player shouted loudly. Three phantoms identical to her appeared behind her, and she and the phantoms fired an arrow at the opponent simultaneously.

The opposing player who controlled flying insects directed the insects to form an insect shield in front of them. The four arrows landed on the insect shield, but there was only the sound of one arrow hitting.

The female player with the ponytail fired three consecutive arrows from the side, but this time they were blocked by the three black spheres, and the three black spheres continued toward the two female players with undiminished force.

The two female players dove to the sides, and the three black spheres crashed straight into the wall. With a boom, a huge hole was blown into the wall.

The player on the side frowned and controlled the flying insects to fly toward the two of them. The two female players kept retreating, but the player controlling the flying insects became exhausted and panting, causing the flying insects to disappear halfway.

However, this was enough. One black sphere hit the female player with the ponytail, and she was blown to ashes on the spot.

Only the disheveled female player remained to fight the two people. Just as both sides were about to decide the outcome, the opponent's red light beam suddenly turned into a yellow light beam, which made the two opposing players' expressions change drastically, and they began to hesitate whether to continue fighting.

It was in this moment of hesitation that the disheveled female player immediately fired an arrow at each of them.

Pfft—

Bang!

The player controlling the black spheres was shot and killed on the spot, while the player controlling the flying insects covered their body with a layer of insect armor, allowing them to avoid damage.

The two fought again, moving from inside the room to the outside. Then, the player controlling the flying insects used them to uproot a nearby tree and throw it at the opponent, after which they turned and ran without even looking back.

Whoosh—

Pfft—

A Crossbow Bolt hit the thigh of the player who could control flying insects, and this player immediately fell to the ground. When they tried to crawl up, a spear tied with a dagger pierced their chest.

"You have plundered other players' points; your current total points are 2621."

Zhu Zhiquan picked up the Dagger Spear and turned to cup his fists at the female player to show his respect; the disheveled female player followed suit and cupped her fists in return.

"Hello, miss, my name is Zhao Yuxin, and this is my man, Zhu Zhiquan. Can you tell us your name?" Zhao Yuxin hopped over to the female player's side.

The female player smiled and replied, "My name is Li Yue, and my teammate's name is Huang Jing, but she just died in battle and will need to wait until she respawns before she can meet you."

Zhao Yuxin waved her hand and said, "Eh, it doesn't matter. Since it's still early anyway, why don't we go scavenge the legacy left behind by other players first?"

Li Yue and Zhu Zhiquan had no objections, and after a brief exchange, they each went their separate ways.
