Chapter 59: Leaving the World Early

Clang, clang, clang~

Zhu Zhiquan and the Qilin were locked in battle. The powerful crocodile skin on its body made it difficult for Zhu Zhiquan to break through its defense; he had even smashed his Dagger Spear for this reason, and was now fighting the Qilin with the Dingtang Sword.

Zhao Yuxin kept aiming from the side, but the battle between Zhu Zhiquan and the Qilin was too intense for her to get a bead on it. Yet, if she were to engage the Qilin in close-quarters combat, even with the protection of her Fish Scale Armor, she risked being kicked half to death.

She decided to simply command the Green Bean Ice Cream Shooter to be ready to support Zhu Zhiquan at any time.

The situation on Zhu Zhiquan's side was dire. Despite how evenly matched they seemed, in reality, Zhu Zhiquan wore a grave expression because he felt this Qilin was toying with him.

Because there were many attacks that Zhu Zhiquan felt the Qilin could have dodged, yet the Qilin chose not to dodge and instead took his attacks head-on.

At this moment, the Qilin also sensed Zhu Zhiquan's confusion and couldn't help but laugh out loud, then suddenly increased its speed, kicked Zhu Zhiquan in the abdomen, and sent him flying.

Before Zhu Zhiquan could land, the Qilin was already behind him, using the horn on its head to launch him into the sky, then spat a fireball at him.

Boom!

Zhu Zhiquan was struck by the fireball in mid-air and flew several more meters before landing on the road, rolling several times on the cracked asphalt, and was forced to deactivate his Boiling Blood talent.

"Ajiu!" Zhao Yuxin screamed in terror. She was about to command her plants to attack the Qilin, but the next second, the Qilin was already in front of her, kicking its way into the carriage. The surrounding plants fired at it continuously, but they barely managed to pierce its scales.

Conversely, with a light sweep of the Qilin's tail, all the offensive plants were wiped out. The Qilin looked at Zhao Yuxin in the carriage with disdain, a fireball condensing in its mouth as it prepared to finish her off.

Just then, a Crossbow Bolt flew in and shot right into the Qilin's rear. The Qilin's backside went numb, and the fireball it had been condensing dissipated. The Qilin turned its head to see Zhu Zhiquan, who had just finished loading the Wrist-Mounted Strange Crossbow, staring at it intensely.

The Qilin walked slowly toward Zhu Zhiquan. Zhu Zhiquan spat, held his Dingtang Sword, and walked toward the Qilin as well.

After closing the distance to a certain point, Zhu Zhiquan simultaneously activated Boiling Blood and the Nightmare Demon Eye and ran toward the Qilin, while the Qilin continued to walk unhurriedly, not taking Zhu Zhiquan seriously at all.

Clang, clang, clang~

Whoosh~

Zhu Zhiquan swung his sword and fired crossbow bolts continuously, merely scratching the Qilin's body. Even when he shot with the crossbow, it at most embedded into the flesh, having no significant effect on the Qilin.

The Qilin simply stomped its feet, and a powerful heatwave forced the crossbow bolts on Zhu Zhiquan and the Qilin off the road. Immediately after, the Qilin spat a breath attack at Zhu Zhiquan.

Fortunately, with the enhancement of the Nightmare Demon Eye, Zhu Zhiquan dodged the lethal breath in time. The Qilin was surprised that Zhu Zhiquan could dodge the attack, then condensed a large number of fireballs around itself and hurled them at Zhu Zhiquan.

Relying on the dynamic vision of the Nightmare Demon Eye, Zhu Zhiquan dodged all the fireball attacks and arrived in front of the Qilin, hacking down heavily. The Qilin took the sword strike head-on, stood up, and kicked wildly with its legs.

Zhu Zhiquan dodged continuously, seized an opportunity, and shot another bolt into the Qilin's abdomen. Unfortunately, the Qilin's abdomen also had crocodile-like scales, causing this strike to remain lodged in the flesh without causing any substantial damage.

The Qilin kept kicking at Zhu Zhiquan. Under the influence of the scorching desert climate and the side effects of Boiling Blood and the Nightmare Demon Eye, Zhu Zhiquan gradually couldn't keep up with the Qilin's speed; he was kicked flying, and the Qilin spat a breath attack that pierced through his body.

Whoosh~

Bang!

A rocket hit the Qilin. Zhao Yuxin jumped up excitedly, hitting the roof of the vehicle, and cheered, "Yeah! It hit! This is an RPG! I don't believe this won't blow you to bits!"

When the smoke cleared, the Qilin was still standing in the same spot, though it looked somewhat disheveled, with half its body blown to shreds, looking at Zhao Yuxin with a face full of rage.

"Damn! This thing is too tanky!" Zhao Yuxin was shocked. The Ice Cream Cactus in the vehicle felt the aura of death and pedaled the Tricycle frantically.

In fact, the moment the RPG was about to hit the Qilin, it had condensed a protective shield on its side, which was how it withstood the damage from the RPG.

The Qilin angrily condensed an extra-large fireball and compressed it. The powerful pressure made Zhao Yuxin feel despair. "Ajiu, save me~"

Bang!

Just as the Qilin compressed the fireball to the limit and prepared to throw it, Zhu Zhiquan delivered a flying knee strike that knocked the Qilin away, simultaneously interrupting its skill.

The Qilin spat a fireball the moment it fell to the ground, hitting Zhu Zhiquan, but Zhu Zhiquan withstood the fireball and continued his attack on the Qilin.

That was because after the Qilin's breath attack pierced through his body, it triggered the Undead Pact, so Zhu Zhiquan was now in an Undying Body state.

The Qilin wanted to create distance, but unfortunately, with half its body blown to shreds, it couldn't even stand up. Zhu Zhiquan flipped its body over and attacked its mangled side repeatedly.

The Qilin let out a painful wail, trying to stand up time and again only to fail. Finally, under Zhu Zhiquan's continuous attacks, the Qilin closed its eyes in resentment.

After the Qilin died, the system prompt sounded: "Congratulations on killing the Blazing Sun BOSS Red Crocodile Fire Qilin. You have earned the qualification to leave this world early."

"Ajiu~"

"Ajiu, are you okay!?"

Zhao Yuxin ran over in a hurry and hugged Zhu Zhiquan, her face covered in sweat, unable to tell if it was from the heat or concern. Zhu Zhiquan didn't rush to answer; he took out his Skinning Knife and began to dismantle the Qilin's corpse.

"Dismantling complete. You have obtained two portions of Qilin Blood, one Qilin Inner Core, and 500 grams of Qilin Meat."

Zhu Zhiquan took one last look at the remaining time on the Undead Pact and said, "The Undead Pact will end in about three minutes. This is the first time I've triggered this talent; I just don't know if I'll die when the time runs out."

"What are you saying! Hurry up and spit it out!" Zhao Yuxin pulled Zhu Zhiquan back onto the Tricycle. At this moment, there was a Light Gate in front of their Tricycle; it was the exit to leave the world early.

The Ice Cream Cactus pedaled the Tricycle toward the Light Gate. Zhao Yuxin took one last look at the number of people on the World Channel; there were 347 people left, and she didn't know how many would remain in the end.

Swish~

As the Tricycle passed through the Light Gate, the two arrived in a pitch-black space. Their Tricycle seemed to be shrouded by something, and they received a system prompt.

"Congratulations on passing the previous round of the world early. Please wait patiently; the system is matching you to the next world. Please wait a moment."

Zhao Yuxin ignored the system prompt; now, she only had eyes for the injured Zhu Zhiquan. Zhu Zhiquan comforted her, "Don't worry, Azhao, it's not like I haven't died before. At worst, I'll find a chance to use a resurrection item to revive."

"That's easy for you to say! Where am I supposed to find a resurrection item for you! Don't talk for a second, let me see if there's anything that can help you recover your life." Having said that, Zhao Yuxin's first reaction was to look at the dismantled parts of the Qilin.

"Accelerates the rate of physical improvement, accelerates the recovery rate of Magic Power, increases the rate of strength improvement... Damn! There's nothing here to recover life!" Zhao Yuxin was frantic with worry.

But then she thought, "Forget it, if you die when the time is up, I'll find a chance to revive you! But let's get this straight: if you don't look like a human after you revive, don't blame me for cheating on you."

Zhu Zhiquan: "(? _?)?"
