Chapter 696: Olympic Dragon Country Men's Basketball: Gold Medal!

There were 47.5 seconds left.

The US team trailed by 4 points.

Theoretically, with the US team's powerful strength, there were still many opportunities to reverse, to turn the game around, and to complete an overtake.

But.

Now their mentality had exploded; besides burying their heads in one-on-one play, they didn't know what a second offensive method was.

In the entire US team, only the "Stone Buddha" Duncan was in a relatively calm state, but it was useless.

Why?!

He was an inside player; he was like "Big Shark" O'Neal, possessing a wealth of skills but having no one to give him the ball.

He could roar.

But he could only roar.

This led to the fact that although Liu Wei, Li Nan, and Wang Zhizhi were all poor on defense, knowing that the opponent would definitely play one-on-one, they combined to double-team.

And they defended Stoudemire's very obvious attack on the basket.

Even the role players who were full of weaknesses started to exert effort on defense, leaving only despair for "Dream Team VI".

No way.

No chance.

No possibility.

The Dragon Country team ultimately won by a 4-point difference against "Dream Team VI", which was full of strong players, tough characters, and powerful NBA players!!!

Winning the 2004 Athens Olympic men's basketball championship.

Winning the gold medal.

Before this, Dragon Country's best result in Olympic men's basketball history was eighth place in 1996.

Although it was eighth place, the strength at that time had a huge gap with the US, and even a huge gap with the European powerhouses.

An insurmountable gap.

Now... Yao's early appearance and Su Yan's arrival made the Dragon Country men's basketball team undergo a transformation, a crazy transformation.

Becoming extremely powerful.

Powerful to the point of being shocking.

Especially the "super rookie" Su Yan, who was like a "God's favorite" sent by God to save Dragon Country and help them win the championship.

"We won!!!"

In the CCTV-5 studio.

Wang Meng was like a madman, waving his fists and roaring; he was truly happy, he was truly excited to the extreme, "We are the champions.

We, the Dragon Country team, are the champions.

We, the Dragon Country team, have won the Olympic men's basketball gold medal.

This is something I didn't even dare to dream of before; now it has happened in reality, this is too great, the Dragon Country team is too formidable."

"Hahaha!"

Instructor Zhang also couldn't help but laugh, his mouth unable to close from happiness, "Su Yan is too formidable; he used the power of one person.

To bring the Dragon Country men's basketball team to a height that never belonged to us.

We are the champions, we have won the men's basketball gold medal; this is a historic moment, this is a deed worth praising for a lifetime."

"Yes, yes, yes."

Wang Meng also nodded repeatedly, "In the early morning, Liu Xiang became the 'Asian Flyer', winning the 110m hurdles gold medal and creating history.

In the evening, the 'Dragon Country Twin Stars' led the Dragon Country men's basketball team to defeat the arrogant, seemingly impossible-to-defeat 'Dream Team VI'.

Winning the championship once again.

The gold content of these two gold medals is too heavy, too heavy.

Because it is too heavy, it makes us even happier.

Track and field gold medal + men's basketball gold medal, August 28, 2004, this is a day for our Dragon Country competitive sports to celebrate nationwide!!!"

The two commentators were already overjoyed.

"Oh~"

"We won!"

"We are the champions!"

"We, the Dragon Country men's basketball team, have defeated 'Dream Team VI' and won the gold!"

"..."

The fans huddled in front of their televisions watching the game were also cheering and shouting like madmen; some parents who didn't know what was going on.

Once thought their children had gone crazy watching TV.

They pulled out their belts to teach them a lesson, telling them to go study, but after understanding the situation, the belt turned into ribbons, and parents and children celebrated the moment the men's basketball team won the championship together!

On the court.

Su Yan, Yao, and all the players hugged together, enjoying this hard-won victory, enjoying the joy of winning the championship to their heart's content.

In the audience.

"Wow~"

Countless foreign fans also gave the Dragon Country fans the most enthusiastic applause, and at the same time... they were also very shocked.

Shocked by what?

The US "Dream Team", this was an existence in the international basketball field that almost any country feared; they almost never thought. ===== CHAPTER 698 =====
