Only those who had reached the God-level were worthy of being enshrined here.

He counted them carefully. There were exactly 300 statues, representing 300 God-level powerhouses.

Shock rippled through him, “I never imagined the human race once had so many God-level experts.”

The statues were arranged in a triangular formation. The two leading statues were undoubtedly the strongest humans of that age.

“The Kunlun Great God said that back then, human geniuses emerged in droves, needing only a few years to rise from the first class awakening to the God-level.”

“Compared to today, that truly was a golden age.”

He bowed respectfully toward the statues.

They were his ancestors.

Whatever the outcome, they had paid the price of blood to protect this world, as well as humanity.

“The believes of the human race will never shatter. A soft sigh echoed as she opened her eyes.

Her pale blue eyes were beautiful beyond description.

Even Lin Moyu felt his focus falter for a brief moment.

The Water God had been perfect before, but now there was an added touch of dazzling brilliance and fragility.

Her sigh carried an air of endless grievance, as though she had borne untold suffering.

She looked at Lin Moyu, “Thank you for waking me.”

Her voice matched her appearance—gentle beyond compare.

Though Lin Moyu sensed no malice, he remained vigilant.

As she awakened, the water element surged toward her without pause, and her aura fluctuated wildly, rising and falling in an unstable rhythm.

He immediately understood: this was not normal. Her injuries had not healed.

“Honored Water God, have your injuries recovered?” Lin Moyu asked.

The Water God slowly descended to the ground and released another sigh.

She did not answer, but her silence spoke volumes.

“Are they that severe?”

Sorrow surfaced in her eyes, “My foundation has been damaged. It will be difficult to heal.”

Her grief permeated the palace, stirring the water element into restless waves.

Lin Moyu noticed that even in this short time, her aura had grown more unstable.

Awakening her might not have been a good thing after all.

“Is there no other way?” He asked.

“There is.” The Water God replied with a faint smile, “But it is difficult. We Gods are different from you humans. Human healing spells are useless to us. Our foundation lies in the divine soul; what you humans call the soul.”

“If it’s difficult, then it’s still possible.” Lin Moyu said, “Tell me. Perhaps I can help.”

He was no saint, but neither was he a villain.

The Water God had once fought alongside humanity’s ancestors, and it was he who had awakened her.

If there was something he could do, he was willing to try.

“If the God of Life were still alive, there might be hope. Her gaze fixed on the scepter in Lin Moyu’s hand: the Genesis Scepter.

Lin Moyu shook his head, “She should have perished completely.”

Shock flickered through the Water God’s eyes, “Even the Genesis Scepter has shattered… It seems much occurred after I fell into slumber. Can you tell me what happened?”

There was no reason to conceal it. Lin Moyu briefly recounted the events in the Putrid Corpse Land.

Disappointment settled over her expression, “Then there truly is no hope.”

“Besides the God of Life, is there really no other way?”

The Water God sighed again, “Perhaps there is.”

With that sigh, the water element seemed to be tinged with sorrow.

Lin Moyu, however, remained unmoved.

He disliked this atmosphere of lamentation.
