Pangzi gently twisted the needle, pried open the curly-haired kid's right hand, inserted it straight from the thumb's nail side, gently twisted, and the silver needle went straight into the thumb three fen.

Pangzi gently twisted the needle, pried open the curly-haired kid's right hand, inserted it straight from the thumb's nail side, gently twisted, and the silver needle went straight into the thumb three fen.

Make sure not to add extra. Keep concise.

At first, the curly-haired kid was screaming wildly, saying things like "I am the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, I will cause havoc in Heaven," but just as Pangzi inserted the silver needle into the side of the thumb, the curly-haired kid's body and expression changed.

Interpretation: Initially the curly-haired kid was screaming wildly, saying nonsense like "I am the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, I will cause havoc in Heaven's Palace," but when Pangzi inserted the silver needle into the side of the thumb tip, the kid's body and expression changed.

screaming wildly

His ferocious face instantly turned pale, and the hands that had been straining to break free of our bonds slowly and rhythmically relaxed.

Translation: "His ferocious face instantly turned pale, and the hands that had been straining to break free of our bonds slowly relaxed and lowered in a rhythmic manner."

This felt strange to me, like a bandit with a submachine gun who, one moment, was fiercely threatening you with his gun, but the next second put down his gun and announced his portrait, turning from a fierce wolf into a meek sheep.

This felt strange to me, like a bandit with a submachine gun who, one moment threatening you fiercely with his gun, the next second puts down his gun and declares his portrait.

Thus: "This gave me a strange feeling, like a bandit with a submachine gun who, one moment threatening you fiercely with his gun, the next second puts down his gun and declares his portrait, turning from a vicious wolf into a meek sheep."

The spot Pangzi punctured is called the Shao Shang point in medicine; in the Thirteen Needles of the Ghost Gate, this point is called Gui Xin. I don't know its specific effect, but now I can clearly feel that when the needle is inserted, changes occur in the curly-haired kid's body.

Translation: "The spot Pangzi pierced is called the Shao Shang point in medicine; in the Thirteen Needles of Ghost Gate it is called Ghost Trust. I don't know its specific function, but now I can clearly feel the change that occurs in the curly-haired kid's body when the needle is inserted."

Curly-haired kid maybe same as curly-haired kid.

Seeing that the needle insertion was indeed effective, Pangzi did not dare hesitate and quickly took out another fine needle from the needle box.

Translation: "Seeing that the needle insertion was indeed effective, Pangzi did not dare hesitate and quickly took out another fine needle from the needle box."

This time, Pangzi punctured the curly-haired kid's occipital region, located just below the skull, directly above the midpoint of the hairline on the neck, about one cun upward.

Translation: "This time Pangzi pierced the curly-haired kid's occipital region, located beneath the occiput, directly up one cun from the midpoint of the hairline at the back of the neck."

This point is called the Feng Fu point in Chinese medicine, and it is one of the more important acupoints.

Translation: "This point is called the Feng Fu point in Chinese medicine, and it is one of the more emphasized points in TCM."

In traditional Chinese medicine, there is the concept of the "Six Evils" (Six Yin), where wind is considered the foremost and the cause of all diseases. Therefore, when selecting acupoints, TCM pays special attention to wind. Over long exploration, people found many places on the human body that are easily invaded by wind, so they named these acupoints after wind.

Translation: "TCM has the 'Six Yin' (Six Evils), among which wind is considered the foremost, said to be the leader of all diseases. Therefore, TCM pays great attention to selecting points for wind. Through long exploration, people found many places on the human body easily invaded by wind, so they named these points after wind."

For example, Feng Men, Feng Chi, Feng Fu, etc.; among many acupoints, Feng Fu is considered the most important. "Feng" refers to wind evil, while "Fu" means a government office; the Feng Fu point is like the office that governs the wind points. If wind evil wishes to invade the body, it first seeks this office, so the ancients often said that Feng Fu is a crucial place for wind invasion.

Translation: "For example, Feng Men, Feng Chi, Feng Fu, etc.; among many points, Feng Fu is the most important. Wind refers to wind evil; Fu means government office, so the Feng Fu point is the office governing wind points; if wind evil wants to invade the body, it first seeks this office, so the ancients often said Feng Fu is the place where wind is received."

Consequently, if the Feng Fu point is invaded by wind evil, over time a person may develop headaches, dizziness, etc. If at that time one massages the Feng Fu point below the occiput or administers acupuncture, the person will feel especially refreshed and clear-headed. The principle is that when the brain is invaded by wind evil, massaging the Feng Fu disperses the invading pathogenic energy and restores the person's vital spirit.

Translation: "Thus, if the Feng Fu point is invaded by wind evil, over time a person will experience headache, dizziness, etc.; if at that time one massages the Feng Fu point below the occiput or gives acupuncture, the person will feel especially refreshed and clear-headed. The principle is that when the brain is invaded by wind evil, massaging Feng Fu disperses the invading evil qi and refines the person's essence, qi, and spirit."

Moreover, in the Thirteen Needles of the Ghost Gate, the Feng Fu point is also called Gui Zhen, a gathering place for the soul's breath. As is well known, ghosts lingering in the yang world usually carry resentment, and such resentment often indicates the depth of these evil ghosts' cultivation. Needling the Feng Fu is equivalent to dispelling the resentment of these resentful spirits, breaking their cultivation, turning them into toothless tigers that cannot leap about, alive or dead.

Translation: "Moreover, Feng Fu, in the Thirteen Needles of Ghost Gate, has another name: Ghost Pillow, which is the gathering place of the soul's breath. It is well known that ghosts lingering in Yangjian mostly carry resentment, and resentment largely indicates the depth of these evil ghosts' cultivation. Piercing Feng Fu is equivalent to dispelling those resentful spirits' grudges, breaking their cultivation, turning them into toothless tigers unable to leap about, alive or dead."

After Pangzi inserted the silver needle into the Feng Fu point, the curly-haired kid's body trembled violently twice, and then an aged voice emanated from him.

Translation: "After Pangzi inserted the silver needle into the Feng Fu point, the curly-haired kid's body trembled violently twice, and then an aged voice came from his body."

"Which sect and which disciple dares to meddle in the old ancestor's affairs? You must be tired of living."

Translation: "\"Which sect, which disciple dares to meddle in the affairs of your old ancestor? You must be tired of living. \""

"The voice was hoarse and aged; surely this is a monster that has cultivated for some years."

Translation: "The voice was hoarse and aged; surely this is a monster that has cultivated for some years."

"The voice came from the curly-haired kid's body; I and Yao Yirong were both startled, but Pangzi remained calm, twisting the third silver needle, and replied without fear."

Translation: "The voice came from the curly-haired kid's body; I and Yao Yirong were startled, but Pangzi remained calm, twisting the third silver needle, and replied without fear."

"I am Wang, a disciple of the Huaguang sect, inheriting the lineage of the Five Manifest Huanguang Ancestor..." Pangzi first gave his name, then his tone eased a bit, and he asked calmly and politely: "It's not that I like to meddle, but the old ancestor's actions are too extreme; if I don't needle and save him, he might become an idiot."

First part: "\"I am surnamed Wang, a disciple of the Huaguang Sect, inheriting the lineage of the Five Manifest Huaguang Ancestor..." then narration: Pangzi first gave his name, then his tone relaxed a bit, and he asked calmly and politely: \"It's not that I like to meddle, but the old ancestor's actions are too extreme; if I don't needle and save him, I fear he will become an idiot. \"

We need to keep the ellipsis? The Chinese has 「...... 」 after the first quote. We'll keep as "..." maybe.

Thus translation: "\"I am surnamed Wang, a disciple of the Huaguang Sect, inheriting the lineage of the Five Manifest Huaguang Ancestor... \" Pangzi first gave his name, then his tone relaxed a bit, and he asked calmly and politely: \"It's not that I like to meddle, but the old ancestor's actions are too extreme; if I don't needle and save him, I fear he will become an idiot. \""

"You, an immortal family, can speak human words and your tone is so aged; you must have cultivated for some days, receiving heaven's pity and obtaining the path to seek immortality. Why not wholeheartedly do good, but instead harm people here?" Pangzi continued to ask while twisting the silver needle.

Translation: "\"You, an immortal family, can speak human words and your tone is so aged; surely you have cultivated for some days, receiving heaven's pity and obtaining the path to seek immortality. Why not wholeheartedly do good, but instead harm people here? \" Pangzi continued to twist the silver needle and counter-questioned."

The aged voice from the curly-haired kid gave a light laugh, then sneered: "He calls me his old ancestor, invites me to possess his body—naturally he had already planned to hand over his body to me. Since this flesh is mine, how can you control how I use it?" His tone seemed deeply confident; even in a disadvantaged position, he was unwilling to appear weak.

Translation: "The aged voice from the curly-haired kid's body gave a light laugh, then sneered: \"He calls me old ancestor, invites me to possess his body—naturally he had planned to hand over his body to me; since this flesh is mine, how can you control my use of it? \" The tone seemed deeply confident; even in a disadvantaged position, he was unwilling to appear weak."

His confidence naturally comes from karma. He was willingly invited by the curly-haired kid; one wants to strike, the other to endure—it's not a groundless disaster. Now, if Pangzi were to thrust his hand in sideways, he would inevitably bear some karma.

Translation: "His confidence naturally comes from karma. He was invited by the curly-haired kid willingly; one wants to strike, the other to endure, so it's not a groundless disaster. Now, if Pangzi were to thrust his hand in sideways, he would naturally bear some karma as well."

"What do you want?" After a moment, Pangzi asked him: "Gold, silver, jewels, paper boy—I can have him burn them for you."

Translation: "\"What do you want? \" After a moment, Pangzi asked him: \"Gold, silver, jewels, paper house boys—I can have him burn them for you. \""

His words had just finished when they were interrupted by a strange laugh.

Translation: "Just as his words fell, they were interrupted by a strange laugh."

"Old ancestor, I want nothing; I just want to ruin this kid. Let's see what you can do to me."

Translation: "\"Old ancestor, I want nothing; I just want to ruin this kid. Let's see what you can do to me. \""

The old monster remained fearless of heaven and earth; Pangzi still wanted to advise, but before he could finish speaking, I interrupted him with a shout.

The old monster remained fearless of heaven and earth; Pangzi still wanted to advise, but before he could finish speaking, I interrupted him with a shout.

"Why are you nagging so much? Just needle him to death—after all, such an evil ghost, if left around, is a harm to humanity; better to eliminate him, which would also be a great service to the spirit world." Time passed, and I grew impatient.

Translation: "\"Why waste words? Just needle him to death—such an evil ghost, keeping him is a harm to humanity; better to eliminate him outright, which also counts as removing a great harm from the spirit realm. \" As time passed, I grew impatient."

Pangzi hesitated for a long time, seemingly making a major decision, then he turned the curly-haired kid over, pried open his mouth, aimed the silver needle at the tip of his tongue, and prepared to thrust it fiercely beneath the tongue tip.

Translation: "Pangzi hesitated for a long time, seemingly making a big decision, then turned the curly-haired kid over, pried open his mouth, aimed the silver needle at his tongue tip, and prepared to stab fiercely below the tongue tip."

"Wait..." At that moment, the old ancestor possessing the curly-haired kid let out a loud shout; his tone was no longer fearless, but filled with a hint of terror.

Translation: "\"Wait... \" At that moment, the old ancestor possessing the curly-haired kid shouted loudly, his tone no longer fearless, but filled with a hint of terror."

"You're ruthless, actually ignoring karma to stab my ghost seal!" The old ancestor shouted loudly, then fiercely said to Pangzi: "Today I, the old ancestor, have been defeated, but I recognize you; we shall meet again by mountain and water. I am the Great Sage of the Mixed Monkey from below Xiaotan Mountain—remember that, kid."

Translation: "\"You're ruthless, actually disregarding karma to stab my ghost seal! \" The old ancestor shouted loudly, then fiercely said to Pangzi: \"Today I admit defeat, but I recognize you; we'll meet again by mountain and water. I am the Great Sage of the Mixed Ape from below Xiao Tan Shan; remember that, kid. \""

After saying that, he cursed a few more times with ill will, then reluctantly left the curly-haired kid's body.

Translation: "After saying that, he cursed a few times with ill omens, then reluctantly left the curly-haired kid's body."

Xiaotan Mountain seems to be a small hill near Macau, not far from here; and this "old ancestor" who calls himself the Great Sage of the Mixed Monkey is actually a highly cultivated monkey spirit.

Translation: "Xiao Tan Shan seems to be a small hill near Aomen, not far from here; and since this \"old ancestor\" calls himself the Great Sage of the Mixed Ape, it's hard to imagine that he is actually a highly cultivated monkey spirit."

At the moment the voice fell silent, the curly-haired kid's body began to spasm violently twice, tensed up all at once, then gradually relaxed.

Translation: "At the moment the voice fell silent, the curly-haired kid's body began to spasm violently twice, his body tensed instantly, then gradually relaxed."

After a while, I heard him emit an "ah ya" groan from his mouth, a sound fitting his age; surely the monkey immortal that had possessed him had departed.

Translation: "After a long while, I heard him utter an \"ah ya\" groan from his mouth, a sound matching his age; surely the monkey immortal possessing him had left."

At this point, I finally relaxed, signaling Yao Yirong to release him together.

Translation: "At this point, I finally relaxed, gesturing to Yao Yirong to release him together."

When the curly-haired kid sat up, his face remained pale, and he stared at us blankly for a while, still unaware of what had happened, asking us what had occurred.

Translation: "When the curly-haired kid sat up, his face remained pale, and he stared at us blankly for a while, still confused, asking us what had happened."

Pangzi recounted the events to him in detail, then asked which sect he belonged to, actually practicing spirit-mediumship in broad daylight without a master's protection.

Translation: "Pangzi recounted the events in detail, then asked him which sect he belonged to, actually practicing spirit-mediumship in broad daylight without a master's protection."

Under Pangzi's questioning, the curly-haired kid revealed his background: his surname is Zhou, given name Bin, a disciple of the Six Ren Wind and Fire Institute; he had entered the Dao only a few years ago.

Translation: "Under Pangzi's questioning, the curly-haired kid revealed his background: his surname is Zhou, given name Bin, a disciple of the Six Ren Wind Fire Institute; he has been on the Dao for only a few years."

The so-called Six Ren Wind and Fire Institute is actually the Six Ren sect of folk religious teachings, one of the two major traditions widely known in Hong Kong and Macau, whose full name is the Thirty-Three Heavens Wandering People Six Ren Orthodox Law Iron Plate Teaching. Over the years, the Six Ren teachings have deep roots in Hong Kong and Macau that are astonishing; there, people studying the arts may not know of the Gods' Heaven, Orthodox Purity, etc., but everyone knows Six Ren and Mao Shan.

Translation: "The so-called Six Ren Wind Fire Institute is actually the Six Ren sect of folk Daoism, one of the two major sects widely known in Gangao; its full name is the Thirty-Three Heaven Wandering Six Ren Orthodox Law Iron-Plate Sect. After years of development, the Six Ren teachings in Gangao have deep roots, astonishingly so; in these two places, people studying Dao may not know of the Gods' Heaven, Complete Perfection, Purity and Brightness, etc., but everyone knows Six Ren and Mao Shan."

In the ongoing development of the Six Ren sect, it split into three branches: the Wind and Fire Institute, the Fu Ying Hall, and the Qun Ying Hall. The most widely spread and populous is the Fu Ying Hall, thanks to the efforts of Teacher Er Zeng, who vigorously promoted it in Hong Kong in the last century.

Translation: "Furthermore, in the ongoing development of the Six Ren sect, it split into three branches: the Wind Fire Institute, plus the Fu Ying Institute and the Qun Ying Institute. The most widely spread and populous is the Fu Ying Institute, thanks to the efforts of Teacher Er Zeng who widely promoted it in Hong Kong in the last century."

The Six Ren sect venerates the Six Ren Immortal Master as its chief deity, with attendant deities: Western Heaven Buddhist Law, Lushan Sect Leader, Mao Shan Sect Leader, Zhang Tianashi Leader, Seven Holy Immortals, White Crane Immortal Master, Confucius, Five Thunder Generals, Harmony Ancestor, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Thousand-Mile Eye, Wind-Following Ear—thirteen immortal masters in all, plus the honorific of Bronze Skin and Iron Bones.

Translation: "The Six Ren sect venerates the Six Ren Immortal Masters as its chief deity; the secondary deities are: Western Heaven Buddhist Law, Lushan Sect Master, Mao Shan Sect Master, Zhang Tianshi's command, Seven Holy Immortals, White Crane Immortal Master, Confucius, Five Thunder Generals, Harmony Ancestor, Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Thousand-Mile Eye, Wind-Following Ear—thirteen immortal masters in total, plus the bestowal of Bronze Skin and Iron Bones."

The sect's arts include both literary and martial disciplines, feng shui, and divinatory techniques; for example, the well-known figure in Hong Kong and Macau's divination world, Situ Fazheng, is a practitioner of Six Ren Dao law. The Royal Court, Hui Li, and many other famous casinos in Macau have the feng shui layouts set up by this Situ.

Translation: "The sect's arts include both literary and martial, feng shui, and divinatory techniques; for example, the well-known figure in Gangao's divination world, Situ Fazheng, is a practitioner of Six Ren Dao law. The Huangting, Hui Li, and many other famous casinos in Aomen all have the feng shui layout set up by this Situ."

After Pangzi finished recounting the events, this Zhou Bin from the Six Ren sect repeatedly gave a bitter smile and sighed to himself: "Self-inflicted misfortune, self-inflicted misfortune."

Translation: "After Pangzi finished recounting the events, Zhou Bin from the Six Ren sect repeatedly gave a bitter smile, sighing to himself: \"Self-inflicted misfortune, self-inflicted misfortune. \""

Seeing him blame himself, I and Pangzi became curious. At first, we thought he had apprenticed under a master who only cared about money, who hadn't taught him proper foundations before he attempted spirit-mediumship.

Translation: "Seeing him self-reproachful, I and Pangzi were curious. At first we thought he had apprenticed under a master who only cared about money, who didn't teach him solid foundations before he attempted spirit-mediumship."

However, when Zhou Bin slowly related the whole story, we found that the outcome was not what we had imagined.

Translation: "However, when Zhou Bin slowly related the full story, we found the outcome was not what we had imagined."

It wasn't that the master taught poorly; rather, Zhou Bin brought this suffering upon himself.

Translation: "It wasn't that the master taught poorly, but that Zhou Bin brought suffering upon himself."

Before practicing spirit-mediumship, Zhou Bin had just broken up with his girlfriend. Specifically, his girlfriend had taken up with a wealthy young master, summoned him out, insulted him greatly, and then dumped him in front of everyone.

Translation: "Before practicing spirit-mediumship, Zhou Bin had just broken up with his girlfriend; precisely, his girlfriend had taken up with a wealthy young master, summoned him out, first greatly insulted him, then dumped him in front of everyone."

At that time, Zhou Bin harbored resentment toward his ex-girlfriend and that wealthy young master; his heart was filled with jealousy and fury, wishing he could tear that lecherous couple apart and devour them alive.

Translation: "At that time, Zhou Bin harbored resentment toward his ex-girlfriend and that wealthy young master; his heart was filled with jealousy and fury, wishing to tear apart that dog couple and devour them alive."

It is well known that when inviting a spirit, one must be free of distracting thoughts and achieve a calm state of mind to invite an ancestral master; if one harbors evil thoughts, or is corroded by lust or jealousy, it is easy to invite evil gods and monsters to possess.

Translation: "It is well known that when inviting a spirit, one must be free of distracting thoughts, achieving a calm state to invite an ancestral master's possession; if one harbors evil thoughts, or is invaded by lust or jealousy, it is easy to invite an evil deity or monster to possess."

Although Zhou Bin clearly understood this principle, he nonetheless practiced spirit-mediumship at that time, obviously knowingly committing the fault and bringing suffering upon himself.

Translation: "Although Zhou Bin clearly knew this principle, he nevertheless practiced spirit-mediumship at that time, obviously a willful violation, bringing suffering upon himself."

"I clearly know that when my mind is unsettled I should not invite a spirit for instruction, yet I deliberately did the opposite—this blame cannot be placed on anyone else; I can only blame myself." Zhou Bin repeatedly gave a bitter smile; his tone was not deeply sorrowful but carried a hint of guilt.

Translation: "\"I clearly know that when my mind and spirit are unstable I should not invite a spirit for instruction, yet I deliberately did the opposite; I can blame no one but myself. \" Zhou Bin repeatedly gave a bitter smile; his tone was not very sorrowful, but carried a hint of guilt."

Perhaps, after experiencing this great change, he has come to see many things clearly; or perhaps, because he violated his master's teachings, his six senses are impure, and he rashly invited an evil child, now regretting it.

Translation: "Perhaps it is because after experiencing this great change he has seen many things clearly; or perhaps it is because he violated his master's teachings, for his six senses are impure, he rashly invited an evil child and now repents."
