Chapter 354: Volume 1, Chapter 354: Deceitful Mire (24)
Wen Chijin strode over with his long legs, walked up to her, his posture slowly leaning in, bringing his face close to her ear.
From Jiang Zhi's angle she couldn't hear what he said, but seeing Song Yuwei suddenly reveal a delighted smile, it must have been something nice.
Jiang Zhi felt as if her heart were being twisted by a knife, and she found the girl's smile rather glaring.
Song Yuwei left with a beaming smile, and before leaving she couldn't resist giving her a provocative glance.
Seeing the person disappear around the corner, the black-haired boy not far away walked over holding a roasted sweet potato and handed the sweet potato in his hand to her.
"Sister, this sweet potato is very sweet, try it."
Jiang Zhi did not reach out to take it, lowered her head and walked past him forward.
The reason she came to this alley was because Song Yuwei, taking advantage of Wen Chijin's absence, deliberately came to find her, saying she had something important to discuss; who would have thought that upon arriving here, Song Yuwei seemed like a completely different person, mocking her in every way.
Wen Chijin directly stepped in front of her, took her hand, and placed the steaming hot sweet potato in her palm.
In the distance, the brilliant fireworks that had lit up scattered some beams of light, which fell on his face.
"Sister, she won't come looking for me again, you can relax."
Jiang Zhi stopped walking, her gaze moving from his face to the sweet potato in his hand; the aroma was rich, it was a red-fleshed sweet potato, most popular in the cold winter.
She lifted her eyes, signed in sign language: "It's fine."
Wen Chijin paused slightly, "What?"
The girl's slender, porcelain-white fingers traced through the air like a shooting star across the night sky, beautiful.
"I said it's fine; she's your classmate, it's normal for her to come hang out. I just didn't hear what she said; next time you help me apologize to her."
Wen Chijin gazed at her clear, tea-colored eyes, which held no hint of resentment or concern, looking straight through, calm and earnest.
He remained silent for a long time.
Jiang Zhi handed the sweet potato back to him, "I'm not hungry, it's getting late, let's go back."
Having said that, she walked ahead on her own.
Wen Chijin's fingers tightened; the scalding hot sweet potato touched his skin, quickly leaving a red burn mark.
He didn't even feel the pain, lifted his foot to follow behind her, and finally tossed the sweet potato into the nearby trash can.
In the living room.
Wen Chijin, having just come out of the entryway, approached the dining table, pulled out a tissue, and wiped away the sweet potato crumbs between his fingers.
The house was quiet and desolate; the light from the overhead lamp cast his shadow onto the wall, swaying slightly.
At that moment, Jiang Zhi came out of the kitchen holding a cup of ginger tea, and handed it to him.
This was ginger tea that had been heated before heading out; outside it was freezing cold, making it easy to fall ill.
As she approached, however, she saw that his palm and the spaces between his fingers were completely red, even forming small blisters.
Seeing this, she furrowed her brows.
"What happened to your hand?"
Wen Chijin met her worried gaze, the corners of his mouth lifting, "I accidentally got burned."
Jiang Zhi saw the sweet potato residue lingering between his fingers and couldn't understand how holding a sweet potato could cause a burn.
She turned around, fetched the medicine cabinet from the cupboard, took his hand, and walked over to sit beside the sofa.
"I'll help you apply burn ointment."
Wen Chijin's dark pupils fixed firmly on her silhouette, he signed: "Sister, are you angry?"
Jiang Zhi opened the medicine box, took out the ointment, saw the situation, shook her head: "No."
Wen Chijin continued signing: "Then why did you ignore me all the way? Sister, I only have you left; please don't ignore me, okay?"
He sat obediently beside her, his handsome face pale and forlorn, revealing a hint of fragility and pitiableness.
Jiang Zhi looked at him; the boy's features were more delicate than a girl's, his brow bones shadowed deep, set within the narrow eyes reflecting the lamplight, giving the impression of deep affection and tenderness.
He was very good-looking; every time he returned, his schoolbag was stuffed with love letters and gifts, and sometimes people even asked her, this sister, to deliver the gifts to the boy.
She raised her hand: "I'm really worried about you, afraid those people from last time will come back to beat you."
Jiang Zhi would follow Song Yuwei to the alley because of a single sentence from her.
——"Don't you want to know who those people wielding iron rods who beat Wen Chijin are?"
Wen Chijin said, word by word: "Those people won't come again."
Jiang Zhi was astonished.
Wen Chijin smiled and said: "Sister, I've already spoken with their leader, cleared up the misunderstanding, so you don't need to worry."
Jiang Zhi breathed a sigh of relief.
Wen Chijin's tall, slender frame sat sideways on the sofa, moving silently toward her until his knee touched the side of her thigh.
The amber light was somewhat dim, the room's temperature had risen a few degrees; after Jiang Zhi entered the house she took off her coat, underneath she wore a long-sleeved pajama top, and as she lifted her wrist the sleeve slipped down, revealing a section of snow-white arm resembling a lotus root segment.
She squeezed out the ointment, dabbed it onto a cotton swab, and gently applied it to his hand with her head lowered.
Her gaze was focused and earnest, her slightly upturned eyelashes thick and long, fluttering like butterfly wings, the faint tear mole beneath the corner of her eye faintly visible.
After she finished applying the ointment, not noticing his gaze, she raised her hand and signed: "Does it hurt?"
Wen Chijin suddenly leaned forward, his long arm reaching out to grip the back of her head, and kissed her soft, pink lips.
An overwhelming aggressive aura enveloped her; Jiang Zhi was completely dazed, bewildered and at a loss, her dark eyes blurred by the lamp light, covered in a thick mist.
The boy's movements were inexperienced and awkward; he pressed her onto the sofa, deepening the kiss.
His scarlet tongue tip forced her to open her mouth, sucking and licking her soft interior, entwining with her soft, sweet tongue.
After Jiang Zhi realized what was happening, she reached out to push him away, but the weight of his body pressing on her was like a huge cage, trapping her.
After kissing for an unknown length of time, taking advantage of a gap, she turned her face to avoid his thin lips, her expression panicked and anxious.
As if he could see her thoughts, Wen Chijin's breath grew hot, his gaze upon her eyes filled with desire.
"Sister, I like you, I've liked you for a long time, I want to be with you."
Jiang Zhi understood his lip language, her expression stalled, she slightly lifted her finger: "We are siblings."
Wen Chijin licked the tear that spilled from the corner of her eye, speaking softly: "We have no blood relation, sister; legally, I can marry you, I can be your husband."
Jiang Zhi's cheeks blossomed like peach blossoms, she raised her hand to cover her eyes, shy and nervous.
Seeing her like that, Wen Chijin rose, supporting her to sit on him, his forehead raised, the bangs before his brows slightly damp and clinging, devoid of his usual gentleness, dangerous yet extremely charming, he reached out to encircle her waist, forcing her close to him.
"Sister, do you like me?"
Jiang Zhi's current pose made her quite shy, straddling his legs, the air turned viscous, she could barely breathe.
She choked back a sob, wanting to get off him.
Wen Chijin wouldn't let her succeed; he deliberately tightened his hold on her slender, easy-to-control waist, burying his face in her embrace to deeply inhale her body scent, like poppy poison, hard to quit.
He wanted to hear her crying with her face pressed against his shoulder, and even more, he wanted to grip her waist so that his aura filled every part of her body.
