First Volume Chapter 65 Ferocious Alphax Tender Beautiful Omega (5)

Jiang Zhi glanced at him furtively, blinking guiltily: "What do you mean, blocked?"

In the dim room, her senses were unusually sharp; she could clearly hear the youth's subdued breath and the icy feel of his grip on her wrist, firm enough to give her the illusion that he might crush her bones.

She hadn't expected Jing Cang to seek her out specifically just to ask about last night's blocking incident.

Considering her safety, she absolutely could not admit that she had deliberately blocked him.

Jing Cang gave a half-smile, narrowing his eyes as he leaned in: "Are you going to forget about last night?"

Jiang Zhi let out an "ah," her dark eyes darting uncertainly in the dim light.

"Is that you? I thought it was a spam message; it gave me a start."

With a serious tone, paired with exaggerated, clumsy acting.

The girl, perhaps not used to lying, blushed slightly, her gaze wandering as she dared not meet his eyes.

Honestly, it was rather cute.

Jing Cang's anger subsided considerably; he studied her with interest, saying unhurriedly: "Really? Then pull it up."

Thus, Jiang Zhi wore a sullen expression, slowly pulling out her phone from her pocket, the pink-tinted nail catching the screen's glow as she tapped and removed him from the blacklist.

On the notes screen, the youth in front snatched the phone away.

He tapped the phone screen, then tossed it into her lap, his low voice laced with menace falling into her ear.

"No more blocking! Or else..."

Jiang Zhi's thoughts turned to his "or else," and she lifted her gaze blankly.

Jing Cang curled his thin lips into a dangerous arc: "Wait until you've done it, then I'll tell you."

That was scarier than if he had just said it.

Jiang Zhi trembled, clutching her phone, and nodded obediently.

Just then, a gurgling sound came from her stomach, resonating clearly in the cramped room.

The black-haired girl leaning against the door lowered her eyes embarrassed, her pink earlobes flushing.

"Sorry, I forgot to eat this morning; I'm starving now," she whispered.

Having run all the way after him, expending all her energy, she was so hungry she wanted to cry.

Jing Cang furrowed his brows, a flicker of emotion in his eyes: "You didn't bring anything to eat?"

She could even forget breakfast; her body was slender and frail, her exposed neck as delicate as a swan's, ready to snap at a gust.

Jiang Zhi unconsciously bit her lip, then after a moment said earnestly: "I don't know where the school store is."

Severely directionally challenged, she could only reach the cafeteria by following classmates; asking her to navigate the school store would surely get her lost.

Moreover, the campus is so large that walking to the cafeteria takes nearly half an hour.

Jing Cang had seen people even more clueless than her, giving a cold, light scoff: "So you'll just avoid the store from now on?"

Jiang Zhi opened her phone screen and held it out to him, speaking earnestly:

"There's product delivery on my phone."

—Oh~

As if mocking him for being dense.

Jing Cang's temple veins twitched as he gave her a cool look: "Let's go eat."

At the mention of food, Jiang Zhi's eyes filled with stars as she happily nodded: "Sure."

Leaving the storage room, Jiang Zhi followed Jing Cang onto a moving airship, departing the school gates toward an unfamiliar place.

She leaned against the round transparent glass, gazing out at a long street of Roman-style architecture, pale gray cylindrical columns and castle-like houses soaring into the clouds, wispy clouds weaving through, with passageways where airships darted by.

It was utterly unlike the architecture of her hometown, far more majestic and prosperous.

Until the airship stopped before an upscale restaurant; disembarking, Jiang Zhi cautiously felt her small money pouch, clearly unable to afford a meal here.

Jing Cang took two steps, noticed she remained rooted, and lazily lifted his brows: "What's wrong?"

Jiang Zhi glanced furtively at the attendants on either side of the door, then lowered her voice with a hint of breathiness: "Jing Cang~ I don't have~ that much money~"

Jing Cang: "."

He twisted his lips in a nasty expression: "Then I'll have you work it off here."

The girl took him seriously, her lips tensing and paling.

Jing Cang was amused by her; his usually stern, cold brows softened with a hint of warmth as he forcibly took her hand and strode inside.

Passing the entrance, the attendants bowed respectfully and called out: "Good afternoon, Young Master Jing."

No reservation needed.

Impressive. Jiang Zhi's clear black-and-white eyes brightened.

They entered a private room.

The high-rise building faced the Imperial Wangong palace not far ahead, appearing like a fairyland floating above the clouds, layer upon layer of countless arched central castles shedding brilliant light, beautiful as if real or illusory.

She had never been to such a palace before.

Her slender fingers unconsciously covered the cold glass as she gazed longingly at the distant palace.

Jing Cang, standing behind her, let out a light, scoffing laugh from his throat: "That place devours people and doesn't spit out their bones."

Jiang Zhi blinked, then turned back doubtfully: "Have you been there?"

Jing Cang leaned against the glass window with arms crossed, his mood decent, having a bit of patience to answer her question.

"I lived there for a while when I was young."

Jiang Zhi lifted her lovely, exquisite face, astonished: "Really? You even stayed at the Wangong— is it fun there?"

It's said the Wangong holds all kinds of rare treasures and priceless heirlooms, all legendary artifacts.

The girl suddenly leaned in, the faint peach blossom fragrance filling her lungs, instantly stirring Jing Cang's dark, surging desire.

He strained to suppress the urge to reach out, pinch her chin, and kiss her.

His long, slender fingers lightly held, his cold white fingertips twining a strand of the girl's black hair, stroking it gently.

"Not fun." His voice lazy, with a hint of hoarse magnetism. "Not fun at all."

One misstep and you fall into a state of eternal doom. Everyone wears a mask, struggling to survive, and everywhere is filled with dark malice.

Jiang Zhi caught a glimpse of red at the corners of his eyes and thought he was talking about something sad.

She awkwardly lifted her hand, lightly patted his arm, and inexpertly soothed, "It's fine, it's all past."

As his fingers brushed the girl's delicate, soft hand, Jing Cang nearly went mad, involuntarily covering her hand's back, his breath heavy and hurried, fiercely suppressing himself.

She, an Omega, is in a room with him, an Alpha, and they have bodily contact—doesn't she fear he'll devour her?

Jiang Zhi felt a sudden pain in her hand, let out a soft "ah," jerked her wrist, but couldn't pull it free.

"Jing Cang, you hurt me."

Each time the youth applies force without restraint, rough and terrifyingly aggressive.

Jing Cang suppressed the desire in his eyes, withdrew his hand, his fingertips gently stroking, savoring the lingering sensation.

"Hn." His voice deep, with a faint hoarseness.
