Chapter 110: Agreed
Agreed.
"Heh!" Guxian let out a muffled laugh, a genuine smile spreading across his handsome face.
Feeling like he had been mocked, the little octopus sulked, his body color turning from red to black.
Chaosheng could not watch any longer and said tactfully, "Guxian, don't tease him."
Xiaodu instantly crawled over as if he had seen a savior, "Mermaid Female, you tell them."
"Make them acknowledge me as the boss, quickly!"
Chaosheng: "..."
Guxian held Xiaodu and left with the three little Beastmen.
Chaosheng looked at the Male Beastman still standing there, "Are you not leaving yet?"
Zhuche's cold and charming snake pupils constricted slightly, his tone carrying a trace of chill, "Are you driving me away?"
"I am not." Chaosheng shook her head with a sheepish smile, "I was just wondering if you had anything else to do?"
"I have nothing else to do, I just want to... see you."
Zhuche gazed deeply at the little female, his sticky gaze sweeping over every inch of her skin, his thin lips curling slightly, "I know you don't welcome me."
"I didn't..."
Zhuche suddenly leaned into the little Mermaid's ear, his damp, cold breath spraying against Chaosheng's ear, his low voice carrying a seductive meaning, "I will come to find you tonight."
"Eh?!"
Chaosheng said with feigned anger, but saw Zhuche disappear from the spot instantly.
Her crimson lips pursed, and a touch of helplessness flashed in her deep purple eyes.
Forget it.
She looked at Changye, Yinxu, and Baini, "Let's go back first."
"Okay."
When night fell, fine fluorescent light floated on the sea surface, like a handful of stars scattered about.
Chaosheng sat on the Shell Bed, her expression calm.
"What are you thinking about?"
A familiar voice sounded in her ear, and a pair of long arms wrapped around her.
A black vortex appeared behind Chaosheng, and from within it stretched out a handsome man with a snake tail, showing only his upper body.
His long dark blue hair hung over his shoulders, and his snake pupils glowed with a dark light in the night.
Zhuche arrived as promised, still carrying a damp and cold aura on his body.
"You...?" Chaosheng's body stiffened for a moment and she shrank back, the tip of her tail stopping its restless swaying.
She said in a low voice: "You really came?"
"Come with me."
Zhuche leaned against her, and after saying this, he took Chaosheng and disappeared from the spot.
The black mist was vast, and Chaosheng arrived here caught off guard.
Zhuche hugged Chaosheng from behind, his flat, long snake tail hidden in the black mist, with the red circular spots vaguely visible.
He quietly stretched out his finger, his fingertip lightly touching the scales on her waist, and seeing that she did not dodge, he chuckled with satisfaction.
He then took something out of his embrace—it was a small whistle polished from a conch, strung on a silver chain, with some delicate little pearls hanging on it, which seemed to have been added recently.
"This is for you." He stuffed the whistle into her palm, "If you want to find me in the future, just blow it."
Chaosheng clutched the cold whistle, stunned.
Touching the lustrous pearls, for some reason, Chaosheng felt her mood was somewhat inexplicably complicated.
"I missed you so much." Zhuche suddenly spoke, his voice lower, "You never take the initiative to come find me."
"The past is the past."
"Now that you have this little whistle, you have no reason to shirk anymore."
Chaosheng looked up at him, and seeing that the roots of his ears were actually glowing with a faint red, she couldn't help but curve her lips: "Okay, I know."
Zhuche gave an "um," his gaze falling on the smile at the corner of her lips, his Adam's apple bobbing: "Then can you stay with me a little longer?"
Chaosheng looked at the rare nervousness and anticipation in his eyes and nodded lightly.
Zhuche rested his head on Chaosheng's shoulder with peace of mind, closed his eyes contentedly, and breathed in the fragrance on the little Mermaid.
A layer of soft light appeared on his cold and charming profile, making him look somewhat gentle.
Chaosheng touched the conch on her wrist, a faint tenderness appearing in her eyes, "These days, you should go and prepare."
"Ah? What?" Zhuche opened his eyes, his dark blue snake pupils showing faint confusion, "Prepare what?"
A hint of cunning flashed in Chaosheng's eyes, as if she were deliberately teasing him, "When you Male Beastmen marry, don't you all have to prepare a dowry?"
Zhuche did not speak, blinking his eyes repeatedly. It took a long while for him to digest these words. His dark blue snake pupils constricted slightly, bursting with dazzling light, and his grip around Chaosheng tightened, "You... what do you mean?"
"Are you preparing to marry me?"
"Hm? Tell me, is it?"
Zhuche couldn't wait for a definite answer.
Chaosheng was amused by his eager appearance, her large purple tail tip tapping lightly in the black mist, deliberately drawing out her tone: "Guess?"
Zhuche had no heart to guess, his cold fingertips suddenly gripping her wrists, though the force was so light he feared hurting her. Unbelievable ecstasy surged in his snake pupils, and even his voice was trembling: "Little female, say that again."
"I said," Chaosheng turned around, stood on tiptoe and leaned close to his ear, her warm breath brushing against the scales on his neck, "When you Male Beastmen marry, shouldn't you prepare a dowry?"
Before the words had faded, she had already been tightly lifted up by him. Zhuche's snake tail unfurled at some point, the blue tail tip with red spots carefully wrapping around her fish tail, as if afraid of breaking a precious treasure.
He buried his face in the crook of her neck and took a deep breath, his voice muffled and hoarse: "Fine... tell me whatever you want!"
"I won't treat you poorly!"
"I will definitely bring a great, great amount of dowry!"
If there wasn't any, he would go snatch it for her.
Chaosheng was amused by his impatient manner and laughed, raising her hand to stroke his long, deep-blue hair: "There's no need for that much, just enough will do."
"No!" Zhuche suddenly raised his head, his snake pupils shining startlingly bright, "It must be a lot!"
"You are marrying me, and when the time comes, all the Beastmen in the Polar Sea will know, right?"
"Mm." Chaosheng nodded.
"That's exactly it." Zhuche nervously grabbed her hand, his eyes dark and heavy, "I want to marry you in a grand and glorious way, so that those Beastmen all know."
"That the one they once banished has returned."
"And has even married the most outstanding female in the Polar Sea now."
"You, oh you." Chaosheng chuckled softly, tapping the tip of his nose with her fingertip, "Fine, I'll agree to everything you say."
Zhuche nodded hurriedly, like a large cat being petted: "Little female, you are truly kind."
He suddenly lowered his head and pressed a light kiss to her forehead, his cold lips carrying a sense of cautious cherishing, "Then... when shall we hold the wedding?"
"Where do you want to hold it?"
"What's the rush." Chaosheng pinched his cheek, "I'll go back and talk to Baini and Yinxu about this first."
At the mention of them, Zhuche's jealousy instantly flared up, and his snake pupils narrowed in displeasure: "What? They still wouldn't agree?"
The venom in his fangs was already fully prepared; if those two Beastmen dared to disagree...
Hiss, he would sweep away these obstacles blocking his path.
"I haven't gone to talk to them yet." Chaosheng calmly soothed him, "You go prepare the dowry these next few days, and I'll go back to tell them; the timing will be just right."
"Hmph!"
Zhuche let out a cold snort and only then reluctantly agreed, yet he still held her hand tightly, refusing to let go.
