Chapter 82: Introducing Changye
Introducing Changye
"He..." Her long eyelashes fluttered; for a moment, Chaosheng did not know how to introduce Changye.
Changye placed the things he was carrying by the edge of the Ice Cave and transformed into his human form.
He had long, flowing white hair like frost and snow, eyes as black as obsidian, and the muscle lines of his exposed limbs and back were clearly defined; the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and he looked to be in a good mood.
He pressed close to Chaosheng and introduced himself proactively, "My name is Changye, and I will soon be the Beast Husband of the Female Beastman Chaosheng."
"What?!" Yinxu raised his eyebrows, looking at him in disbelief.
Baini glanced at Changye, then asked Chaosheng, his expression shattered and aggrieved, "Sheng, he is talking nonsense, right?"
Chaosheng pulled away slightly from Changye, a forced smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, "I will explain to you all in a moment."
Then her gaze fell upon Guxian and Zhuche, "Do you two still have something to say?"
The intent to see them off was very obvious; Zhuche's face turned dark and gloomy upon hearing this, and his dark blue snake pupils flickered with a cold, chilling light, "Female, have you forgotten what you promised me?!"
"You said you would let me..."
"I remember." Chaosheng sighed silently, her temples twitching, "Can we talk at another time?"
"I have other things to attend to today."
After saying this, Chaosheng felt a bit embarrassed herself.
Her eyes fell guiltily to the water below, watching the small fish swimming by occasionally; she had indeed made a promise to Zhuche.
But she had been so busy these past few days that she hadn't gone to find him.
"Hmph!"
Zhuche let out a cold snort, his gaze filled with anger and dissatisfaction as it landed on Chaosheng, and he looked at her deeply.
Then he turned and entered the blackness, disappearing.
Watching Zhuche, Chaosheng breathed a secret sigh of relief; she would go and coax him later.
A friendly smile hung on Guxian's beautiful face, his slightly pale lips curving upward, "Female Chaosheng, do you mind if I stay and listen?"
"Your Beast Husband just injured me."
"If I go back like this, Xiaodu will be sad when he sees it."
After saying this, he raised his arm to show Chaosheng the place where he had been strangled by the vines; a thick, deep red mark remained there, looking shocking against his fair skin.
His red eyes lowered slightly, and a trace of fragility crossed his beautiful face, "I won't disturb you."
Chaosheng rubbed her temples, which were throbbing with pain; should she just use her Witch Power to heal him?!
But his intention to stay was too obvious; who knew what kind of trouble he would stir up once she healed this little injury?
"Fine, you can stay."
Chaosheng compromised; she currently had no energy to play mind games with Guxian.
Yinxu looked coldly at Guxian's hypocritical appearance; he knew the severity of the situation, and that little injury would heal after two days of rest.
To think he dared to make a fuss over this little injury just to stay?!
If he had known, he shouldn't have held back and should have hit him harder.
"Let's go, let's go inside to talk."
Chaosheng led them to sit on the grass mat in the cave; the light in the cave was dim, and the cold cave walls radiated a hint of chill.
With four Male Beastmen with broad shoulders, narrow waists, and long legs, plus one Chaosheng, the five of them sitting down was indeed a bit crowded.
Chaosheng shifted outward to leave some room to breathe.
Chaosheng looked at Baini, whose handsome face was dim and aggrieved; he had been staring at her with this expression ever since he learned about Changye, looking exactly like a jilted beast.
"Ahem..." Chaosheng cleared her throat, as if to ease the current awkwardness, "Changye is a Beastman from the War Shark Tribe, and he will be staying with us for a while."
"Staying for a while?" This ambiguous statement made Yinxu frown, and he cast a probing look at this beautiful Male Beastman.
"Hmph!" Baini looked at Chaosheng resentfully; this kind of nonsense was enough to fool Yinxu.
Why should he stay here?
A strange Male living together with the Male Beastmen and Female Beastman who were already mated?
Was this appropriate?
Unless he really was Sheng's Beast Husband...
Chaosheng gave a sheepish laugh; she knew her explanation was very far-fetched.
She looked at Changye with a conflicted expression, truly not knowing what else to say.
She understood Baini and Yinxu; they were both big vinegar jars, and if she spoke too bluntly, they would definitely explode.
"Let me say it." Changye's voice was gentle; meeting Chaosheng's troubled gaze, he playfully winked at her and very considerately took over the conversation, "My name is Changye, and I am a White Whale Beastman."
"The Leader sent me to Female Chaosheng to be her Beast Husband."
As expected! Baini lowered his brows, his round black eyes cold and heavy, and his lips, neither thick nor thin, pursed sadly, "Sheng..."
"You just agreed to it like that?"
"No, no." Chaosheng gently stroked Baini's messy hair, pulling him into her arms as he was heartbroken, and explained to him, "I agreed with Changye that we would try it out first."
"If it doesn't work out, he will return to the War Shark Tribe."
It was actually about the same, but this explanation barely pacified the about-to-explode Baini.
It was good that nothing was set in stone yet.
Let's see how he would make this reckless White Whale voluntarily crawl back to that whatever-tribe of his in the coming time.
Changye was noncommittal, his eyes flashing with tiny specks of light; it didn't matter, Female Chaosheng didn't know him yet.
Once she got to know him and liked him, she naturally wouldn't be willing to send him back.
They, the White Whales, were rated as the best partners, after all.
Even the Leader, who was such a fickle female, was infatuated with his brother.
Then he must also be able to win over the female Chaosheng.
"Sheng, then..." Yinxu looked at Changye with ill intent, the corners of his mouth curling slightly, "Where is Changye sleeping tonight?"
"I didn't build any extra rooms at the time."
Changye scanned the inside of the cave; the very center was decorated beautifully, surrounded by light gauze that made it look hazy and indistinct.
On both sides, ice stones had been used to enclose two rooms.
Sigh! It seemed there really wasn't any extra space for him.
If only he could sleep in the very center with the female Chaosheng.
That should be fine, right? He was here to be her Beast Husband; wasn't it only natural for him to be with her?
"Then..." Changye began eagerly, but simultaneously received two death glares.
Yinxu looked at him coldly and indifferently, a hint of warning revealed in his eyes.
And Baini stared at him with a gaze as if he wanted to eat him; come to think of it, Orcas are apparently the natural predators of White Whales.
Remembering how those Orcas would brutally kill other creatures, Changye shrank back imperceptibly, lowered his head, and said weakly, "I... anywhere is fine for me to stay."
"I'm not picky."
"We White Whales have two brains, so it doesn't matter if I don't sleep."
"Is that so..." Chaosheng couldn't help but marvel at the wonder of the Creator; this sounded very similar to the way Baini slept.
Guxian was hidden to one side, his red eyes constantly sizing up this strange Beastman—a White Whale?!
He shouldn't be a Beastman with very strong special abilities, right?
He hadn't heard of him during his time in the Polar Sea.
