A person's innate qi can be strengthened through training, but it cannot be enlarged; no matter how powerful a non‑human, it will eventually age, its form dissipating and its qi fading. Zhou Shuo's situation, however, has already overcome this—his form is solid while his qi expands, meaning he is already on the path to immortality.

When he grips the sword, its sword qi and his true qi mutually amplify, and even by wrapping his flesh in sword qi he can break through the void and fly—this is the true caliber of a flying sword magical treasure.

Filled with anticipation for the flying sword, Zhou Shuo gradually cultivated the long narrow sword in his hand, increasing the sword qi within the blade bit by bit. As the sword qi grew, the cold light on the sword turned substantive; a swing could emit sword qi reaching several zhang away, enough to cleave a thick wooden post. While Zhou Shuo was slowly training his flying sword, the Zen‑silk gauze suddenly appeared.
