Chapter 27: Instant Kill of A Jin

~7 min read 1,348 words

"I'll give you half an hour to consider; the lives of this country's citizens are in your hands now."

After Krieg finished speaking, he left. Lu Xi Ya, sitting on the sofa, sank into deep thought with a worried expression, finally clenching her fists as if she had made an important decision.

"Lord Krieg, it's bad!"

Just as Krieg reached the entrance of the hospital, a subordinate rushed over to report.

Boom!

Krieg kicked him over and cursed: "What the hell are you in such a rush for? In a hurry to be reincarnated?"

The kicked subordinate rolled twice on the ground and said tremblingly: "It's bad, a group of pirates has arrived here and killed our companions who went out to plunder."

Boom! Krieg kicked him again: "Why the hell didn't you say so earlier!"

The subordinate knelt with a helpless expression, and A Jin said coldly: "Where are they?"

"Right at the entrance of the town," the subordinate said, trembling.

"Lord Krieg, let me go," A Jin said indifferently, killing intent rising in his eyes.

Following Krieg all these years, they had grown from a pirate crew of only a few people to what they were today. Whether against pirates or the Navy, they had experienced several life-and-death battles, growing step by step to their current scale, their reputation resounding throughout the East Blue. Even in the first half of the Grand Line, the Le Yuan, they had killed many powerful opponents; if not for encountering that despair-inducing Great Swordsman, perhaps they could have still stood their ground step by step.

Krieg curled his lips: "Go, and bring their leader to see me."

A Jin nodded, took a group of pirates, and left, walking in the direction of Luo Di.

After Luo Di and his party killed a few provocative pirates, they encountered more of Krieg's crew who were plundering. Under their might, the opponents were killed without even having the power to fight back.

"Luo Di, it seems it's not peaceful here; I'm afraid we won't be able to shop properly," Ka Li Na said helplessly.

"It doesn't matter, we can just find them to shop," Luo Di said, then suddenly saw a figure appear in front.

A Jin held tonfas in both hands, walked to the opposite side of Luo Di with a cold expression, and said in a chilly tone: "You're the one who killed our men?"

Luo Di did not reply, but looked at Xiao En: "Have you heard of him?"

"Yes," Xiao En nodded: "A Jin, the second-in-command of the Krieg Pirates; it is said his strength is very high."

"Are you confident?"

"Leave it to me, Lord Luo Di," Xiao En said, then walked toward A Jin holding his sword.

Seeing the opposing captain ignoring him entirely, A Jin's eyes grew colder. As he walked, the tonfas in his hands began to spin, his eyes staring fixedly at the approaching Xiao En, just like a bloodthirsty beast eyeing its prey.

"To dare to look down on our Krieg Pirates, you will pay the price for this!" A Jin said coldly, then leaped violently. In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Xiao En, his right-hand tonfa smashing down, aimed directly at Xiao En's forehead.

"Shave!"

Xiao En's figure suddenly vanished from the spot. A Jin missed and, due to momentum, lunged toward the ground. In a flash, he used his left-hand tonfa to touch the ground, borrowed the force to stand up, and a sense of murderous intent swept over his entire body.

Swish!

Clang!

Just as Xiao En teleported behind A Jin and quickly swung his blade at his neck, A Jin turned abruptly to block with his right-hand tonfa. At the same time, he raised his left-hand tonfa. Just as it was about to strike Xiao En's chin, Xiao En quickly retreated half a step to dodge, and the blade in his hand swung again.

Clang, clang, clang!

Sparks flew everywhere; the two fell into a bitter struggle, neither able to do anything to the other.

But A Jin's combat experience was richer; he kept dodging and shifting, striking with his tonfas while avoiding Xiao En's blade, already leaving several bruises on Xiao En's body.

And he himself had a wound slashed on his arm.

"Go for it, Lord A Jin, kill this dog! To dare to go against us, he really doesn't know what death is, hehehe..." a Krieg Pirates crew member said hideously.

Crack!

In just an instant, his neck was twisted.

"Noisy," Luo Di said faintly.

Seeing this scene, A Jin's brows locked tightly. This guy's ability was strange; he didn't see him make a move at all, yet his subordinate died.

Having roamed the East Blue for many years, he dared not be careless anymore, clashing with Xiao En while looking for an opportunity.

Just as Xiao En slashed his blade toward his neck, A Jin dodged with a sidestep, then lowered his center of gravity, his right foot exerted force suddenly, and he leaped in front of Luo Di in an instant, his tonfas smashing down fiercely.

Boom!

A Jin flew backward upon impact. Before he even landed, he felt a heavy hammer blow on his back and fell face-down on the ground. Just as he was preparing to stand up, he felt a massive force pinning him down, unable to move.

Turning his head, he saw Luo Di already sitting on his back.

"Not bad strength. Want to follow me? I'll take you to the Grand Line," Luo Di said with a smile.

"Bastard, I won't betray Lord Krieg. Go to hell." A Jin's left-hand tonfa flipped, pointing directly at Luo Di on his back.

"What a pity." Before the tonfa could touch Luo Di, it was stuck in the air by a force, then slipped out of A Jin's hand. Luo Di's hand had already grabbed the back of A Jin's head.

"Ripple Overdrive."

"Ah!"

The scorching Scarlet Ripple swept across A Jin's entire body. His pupils dilated as he wailed, and soon his skin turned charred black, then he fell silent.

Krieg Pirates officer, Ghost Man A Jin, dead.

"I agree, but don't forget your promise; at the very least, you cannot attack civilians." In the hospital, Lu Xi Ya looked at Krieg and said.

"Hahaha, of course, no problem," Krieg laughed lewdly: "If you can be my woman, I can leave right now and not plunder anything."

"Dream on," Lu Xi Ya said firmly: "If you dare to force me, I would rather die."

Krieg stared at Lu Xi Ya, intense possessiveness rising in his eyes: "Hahaha, don't be so serious. There are many days ahead. I, Krieg, will regroup, head to the Grand Line again, and go find that Straw Hat brat and that bastard swordsman to take revenge, making them regret provoking me!"

Lu Xi Ya had no interest in Krieg's ambition. At this moment, she only hoped he would leave quickly. She grew up in Xiang Cao Zhen and had often received care from the townspeople. In her childhood, the Lv Yin Wang Guo, as a member state of the World Government, had been peaceful under the previous king's rule, but ever since Owen took power, everything changed.

Besides the Heavenly Tribute that had to be handed over to the World Government, they also had to pay heavy taxes to the king. Ordinary civilians could not come up with that much money on their own and could only end up as slaves exploited by the nobility.

Her medical skills were superb; she had once cured the previous king's incurable disease. As long as she treated the nobles when they encountered serious illnesses, it could basically be resolved, which was why she could be temporarily safe.

Seeing the kingdom become what it was today, Lu Xi Ya was filled with grief but was powerless to change it. She had long hoped that someone could save the civilians of this country, but she never expected that what she waited for was the brutal Krieg.
