Chapter 200: Wild Horse Mount

After wrapping things up, Su Sheng restocked consumables such as Blood Bottles.

As for food, Su Sheng himself is a part‑time chef, and he still uses green food to restore hunger.

Although he hasn't crafted food with added attributes yet, the recovery is still better than the plain food sold in shops.

After making sure nothing was missed, Su Sheng checked his quest list.

Level‑35 skill trial: kill 10 players.

Demon Suppression Six.

And the mount quest.

Mount…

Thinking about the mount, Su Sheng felt depressed again.

He had thought that once he reached the Main City he'd get a mount, so he wouldn't need to take the eleven‑bus route.

He didn't expect he'd have to catch the mount himself.

So far he hasn't seen any he could catch.

The Demon Suppression Six quest coordinates aren't far, but Su Sheng estimated it would still take about half an hour.

Let's go, what else can we do?

Su Sheng could only press on with a sullen head.

After exiting the City Gate, the local wild beasts are…

Plain wolves.

Level‑40 monsters, Su Sheng isn't interested, so he keeps moving.

Level‑45 monsters, plain giant wolves.

Seems like they're all wolves here, huh?

Xi Li Lu~

At that moment, Su Sheng heard a horse's whinny.

??

How can there be a horse?

A mount?

Su Sheng instantly got excited, headed toward the direction of the cry.

He had just been thinking about mounts, and now one appears.

De de~

After walking a short distance.

Su Sheng heard hoofbeats.

Ahead, dust swirled.

A date‑red steed galloped, followed by three or four plain giant wolves, baring teeth and snarling in pursuit.

But the horse's speed was great, so the wolves could only trail behind, eating dust.

Wild Horse (Mount)

Tameable

Level: 30

HP: 8000

Sure enough, it's a mount.

But its stats don't look great.

Forget it, just tame it for travel; if needed, swap it later.

howl~

At that moment, a giant wolf lunged out from the side, clearly having been ambushing the wild horse from the start.

Although the wild horse was fast, the wolf's ambush caught it off guard, slamming a paw onto its hind leg.

Xi Li Lu!

The wild horse let out another whinny, but its hind leg was injured, so its speed noticeably slowed.

The pursuing wolves got closer and closer.

Its health bar lost a segment.

Seeing this, Su Sheng immediately stopped.

This is the mount he wanted; he can't let those wolves just chew it up.

Shield Rush!

Su Sheng acted at once.

It's only a level‑45 monster; these wolves are high‑speed, high‑attack beasts, a bit tougher than locusts, but that's all.

Deadly Lion Fang!

Lion's Claw!

Su Sheng struck, cutting a giant wolf's health by more than half.

Instantly, those four or five wolves shifted their target.

And the wild horse, seeing the wolves blocked, kept running forward without stopping.

The wild horse ran, and Su Sheng wasn't in a hurry.

Anyway, it will leave a trail, and since it's already injured, it probably won't run far before stopping.

First deal with these wolves.

Although there were only four or five of them, Su Sheng was not the slightest bit flustered.

In about ten minutes, those four or five giant wolves left Su Sheng a few wolf pelts and a few wolf fangs, which then turned into experience.

Then Su Sheng followed the trail left by that wild horse and pursued it.

Sure enough, after a little over five minutes, Su Sheng followed the trail to a small riverside.

The wild horse was lying by the river, resting.

Its health also recovered a bit.

Sure enough, Su Sheng knew she wouldn't run far.

Then Su Sheng took out the taming tool for a mount and began to approach.

Hirurur!

The wild horse noticed Su Sheng, instantly stood up, and watched Su Sheng warily.

Seeing this, Su Sheng grinned, "Heartless one, if I hadn't helped you deal with those giant wolves just now, you'd already be wolf dung."

"To repay the life‑saving favor I gave you, use your own body as payment," Su Sheng chuckled, swinging the taming device in his hand.

For a wild horse, Su Sheng naturally repaid the favor without courtesy.

Hirurur~

The wild horse stamped its hooves anxiously and began to retreat.

But with the river behind it, it hesitated.

Su Sheng narrowed his eyes; it was at that moment,

Shield Rush!

Swish~

Su Sheng surged forward violently.

Z-shaped charge.

Whip~

Hit!

Su Sheng, of course, wouldn't actually attack the wild horse; instead, he performed a Z-shaped charge, and once close, the lasso in his hand instantly looped around the horse's head.

Hirurur!

The wild horse immediately began to struggle restlessly.

Caught off guard, he was suddenly broken free by the wild horse.

System Notification: Taming failed.

After breaking free of the lasso, the wild horse instantly ran away.

Su Sheng watched the fleeing wild horse and was slightly stunned.

But the mount I was about to claim couldn't just fly away.

Lion Hunt!

Hunting stance!

Although, you're fast!

But!

I'm faster!

Su Sheng, with agility of 1847, sprinted after it in a flash.

In an instant, he caught up with the wild horse.

Hirurur~

The wild horse's huge eyes looked at the biped beside it in disbelief, wondering how it could run faster than itself.

Then the biped gave a mischievous grin and pulled out a lasso.

"You run."

Su Sheng swung the lasso and threw it.

Hirurur~

The wild horse got frantic.

But it had no way out.

At such a close range, Su Sheng could hit with his eyes closed.

This time, prepared, the wild horse was instantly restrained by Su Sheng.

The wild horse kept struggling, but a mount option appeared before Su Sheng.

Su Sheng immediately flipped onto the horse.

Hirurur~

The wild horse kept bucking.

After mounting, Su Sheng didn't hold back; the gear was two hammers.

The wild horse struggled in various ways, trying to fling the biped off its back.

But Su Sheng held the lasso, embraced the horse's neck, steady as an old dog.

At the same time, Su Sheng was a bit frustrated—why was taming a mount so troublesome?

Magic Class, what to do?

About ten minutes later, the wild horse seemed to realize it couldn't shake off the biped on its back and, as if resigned, stopped.

System Notification: Ding~ Wild horse, taming successful.

After that, Su Sheng gained an additional "capture" option for the wild horse.

Tame…

Refresh~

The wild horse is gone.

Su Sheng also dismounted, and his backpack now contains an item bearing a reins pattern.

Tamed wild horse.

Description: After use, you can obtain a mount—wild horse.

Then Su Sheng discovered that this item can still be traded.

I see.

Su Sheng, seeing this, finally understood.

He estimates that a batch of mount-merchant players will emerge later, and wonders whether pets are like this.

Su Sheng did not hesitate and used it directly.

System Notification: Mount obtained, wild horse +1

In Su Sheng's sole mount slot, a deep‑red horse illustration has been added.

Profession Trial Prompt: Congratulations, player, you have completed the mount trial and obtained a mount of your own.
