Chapter 2016: with translation of chapter title

【Congratulations on passing the second stage challenge of the Origin Secret Realm!】

【Stage reward: 10 minutes of Dao Affinity.】

【Dao Affinity helps you quickly comprehend laws; within 10 minutes, Enlightenment effect increases about 10,000 times.】

【Since you are the first player to pass the second layer challenge of the Origin Secret Realm, Dao Affinity time is additionally increased by 3 minutes.】

At the moment he stepped onto the final step, Xiao Feng arrived at a platform.

Here the ground is still paved with blue stone, but it is not as spacious as the lower layer; in the distance a white waterfall can be seen cascading down, with a splashing sound, and a small stream flows along the crevices of the rocks, unknown where it leads.

The Dao Affinity reward is right before him, appearing as a white light cluster; just touch it to claim.

Xiao Feng summoned He Xianzi, wanting to see if she had any reward.

Obviously, the mount brought by the master has no benefit to claim.

"I'll comprehend the Dao for a moment, don't disturb me." Xiao Feng said to He Xianzi, then reached out and touched the Dao Affinity light cluster.

Instantly, he felt the scenery before him disappear, replaced by a variegated world.

Between heaven and earth, it seemed as if a voice asked him which law he wanted to comprehend.

Xiao Feng thought: "Material law."

But he received no response.

Obviously, material law cannot be accelerated in this way; one must proceed step by step.

Likewise, higher-dimensional laws such as time, space, soul, and Qi Luck laws cannot be obtained.

He had no choice but to settle for second best, choosing something from the game, using his currently strongest skill, the True Solar Fire, as the object of contemplation.

At the beginning of

before, his True Solar Fire comprehension value was 124812 points, at the Great Accomplishment stage.

The power of the Dao drew resonance, and in the distance a star seemed to appear, continuously erupting and releasing heat, shining brilliantly in the starry sky.

Xiao Feng felt this star was very intimate, his whole body emitting scorching yet harmless power, continuously nourishing him.

He calmly contemplated, and every change of the True Solar Fire per minute and second was reflected in his mind, clearly visible.

The law insights previously obtained from the Golden Crow Inner Elixir were all stirred, beginning to develop toward a deeper direction.

He grasped the changes of the True Solar Fire, realizing that burning was not its forte; explosion was the key.

True Solar Fire does not rely on burning to exert power, but on repeated nuclear fusion!

This closely resembles the fire-system divine punishment he developed himself long ago, so his comprehension speed is also fast.

Unbeknownst to him, 13 minutes passed.

The huge star faded from his perception, and the surroundings became tranquil again.

Xiao Feng opened his eyes, his eyes shining like the sun, a flash of flame-burst light flickered.

He opened the law interface again and saw that his True Solar Fire comprehension level had astonishingly reached 190020 points!

This is even more impressive than the 10,000-fold increase mentioned in the system description!

"Thirteen minutes, over sixty thousand comprehension points gained—Dao Affinity is terrifying; I wish the time were longer." Xiao Feng felt somewhat unsatisfied, thinking that if he could immerse himself in that state for several years, he might have a chance to fully comprehend a law, embody himself as a star, and enter the realm of "Law-into-Dao".

But……people cannot be too

Greedy, this is not bad now.

This surge of law power greatly enhanced his tempering effect, and his divine essence power surged from 279 billion to 372.4 billion.

The change in health points was not significant.

It's not because the increase is small, but because the base is too high, reaching the unit of "gai"; now even an increase of a few hundred seems negligible.

This time, upon arriving at the Origin Secret Realm, in just over half an hour, his strength gain is comparable to a normal improvement of 300 levels.

However, for the enemies he will face in the future, this increase is actually still insufficient.

Qian Sha and Shen Chuo cannot reach the second layer in a short time; this place is destined to remain deserted for a long time.

Xiao Feng did not linger here; after glancing at the scenery twice, he left with He Xianzi.

The Origin Secret Realm is extremely high; although he had once reached the summit together with Chen Jie, he still lacks the strength to climb it himself.

Moreover, since no one else has come up, the third-stage challenge will not be opened; he can only wait slowly.

……

Xiao Feng returned to the Chaos Secret Realm, waiting for this day to pass.

Shen Di and the others are still extracting resources in the Lost World, but the Lost World's time is dwindling, and it will soon close.

As the time approached the final second of this day, when the system time turned to 0:00, the system notification sound also rang.

【Server-wide announcement: The Ten Thousand Races Hegemony "Training Period" now begins! Starting today, three game years are the training phase; each faction can conduct conquests, alliances, decisive battles, contract spirit beasts, etc.; the consumption of Qi Luck from killing and being killed remains unchanged; prestige gold seal adds durability setting!】

The announcement was broadcast three times, this

At that moment, many players felt their blood boiling, eager to go out and fight.

Immediately after, the system issued a second announcement: 【Announcement: From the training period onward, all cities gain a prosperity setting; prosperity can amplify the existing spirit energy environment, the higher the prosperity, the greater the effect. Whenever a city is captured in war, the attacking side will obtain a large amount of war resources; the higher the prosperity of the city, the more resources left after its capture.】

Then there is a third!

【Announcement: In the final month before the training period ends, the system will hold a new round of server-wide competition; the content is: level 10 Lost World resource competition, single battle zone admits 100 million players. Specific details will be announced when the activity begins.】

Xiao Feng saw these two announcements, especially the third, and felt great interest.

The Lost World resource competition of 100 million people is quite large!

The server has over 6.7 million battle zones; even if some have populations under 100 million, we can still form at least 6 million battle groups of 100 million each.

That is over 600 trillion players, fighting and gathering resources on the same map!

The Lost World originally only had level 5; the higher the level, the larger the area and the more resources.

Level 10 is a system-designated exclusive map for the event; it will surely be huge, roughly comparable to the Primordial World.

But even with the scale of the Primordial World, over 600 trillion players is already terrifying; fighting would be like mowing grass—one big move down, and waves after waves fall!

This kind of activity is undoubtedly a huge advantage for Xiao Feng; when the time comes, he can slaughter indiscriminately, with no opponents at all.

Another public clause

The announcement's weight is also not light; the setting of the city's prosperity degree has a great impact on subsequent warfare.

Xiao Feng opened the Lord System to check the prosperity status of the cities and secret realms he occupied.

The calculation of prosperity degree is relatively complex, using the ratio of a city's theoretical capacity to its actual population, as well as its economic volume, as parameters.

For example, Azure Moon Cave Heaven can theoretically accommodate 500,000 people; based on the daily average resident count, the current actual population is 200,000, giving a base prosperity degree of 40%.

Adding the number of buildings and economic volume, the final prosperity degree is 44 points, which is rated as a poor and remote area.

Rongjin City, as the royal capital of the Chaos Divine Nation, sees over a hundred million players from the various war zones of the Human Alliance passing through each day, with a permanent population exceeding 20 million; all kinds of shops, restaurants, auction houses and other commercial facilities are complete, its prosperity degree reaches as high as 1990%, earning it the title of 'Eternal Holy City', making it a major city that stands out server-wide.

For every 100% increase in prosperity degree, the system additionally raises the ambient spiritual energy concentration by 10%.

A prosperity degree of 1990% equals a 199% spiritual energy boost, nearly triple the original.

Thus, the moment this prosperity degree setting took effect, the entire Rongjin City experienced a significant upheaval; the spiritual energy instantly became better than inside the secret realm, the cultivation boost could reach almost tenfold, directly turning it into a cave heaven blessed land.

However, amidst its prosperity, if Rongjin City were to be captured, the losses would also be enormous.

The city's prosperity degree is directly tied to the war zone's resource depot; once destroyed, regardless of whether the war zone's resources are in Rongjin City, the system will forcibly

drop a large portion of it, handing it over to the besieging side.

Thus, the more prosperous a large city is, the more likely it is to attract enemies; it must be guarded with high-quality prestige gold seals, otherwise safety is hard to guarantee.
