Chapter 2252

The maintenance time was short, and it would soon end; everyone logged out of the game one after another.

After taking a cold shower and drinking something cold offline, the server reopened not long after.

Xiao Feng and the others went online again to experience the updated Myriad Heavens Battlefield.

When they logged in, they were in the Little Heavenly Court, where nothing would naturally change; Xun Shuang, Dai Ni Si, and the others felt no external changes at all.

Xiao Feng summoned He Xianzi, transforming into a great bird with a wingspan of one hundred meters, leading the ladies together through the Teleportation Array to Rongjin City.

Just stepping out of Rongjin City, they immediately saw that heaven and earth had changed.

Originally, Rongjin City was built on the Autumn Wind Plain, having leveled several mountains to complete its expansion, and the area outside the city remained mountainous terrain.

Moreover, Mount Rongjin lay beside the city, so the overall scenery was: to the east and south, vast sky and rivers; to the west, Mount Rongjin; to the north, some low hills.

But now, to the east it is no longer open; a plateau has risen abruptly about thirty kilometers from the city, and from afar one can already see traces of snow.

To the south lies tens of thousands of kilometers of territory of the Chaos Divine Nation; nearby there is little change, but the distant sky seems somewhat different as well.

"This is a great shift of heaven and earth."

Xiao Feng sighed with emotion.

"Your Majesty, the Sovereign!"

At that moment, the Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird flew out from the palace, its face showing astonishment, and came before them.

"Senior, what's wrong?" Xiao Feng asked.

The Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird, now in human form, landed directly on He Xianzi's back and said to Xiao Feng: "Just now heaven and earth transformed, the Myriad Heavens Battlefield has been reshuffled, and our neighboring realms have all changed!"

"I know, this is not a bad thing;

it can shorten the time cost of expeditions. Senior, your expression is panicked—why?" Xiao Feng wondered.

The Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird was visibly a bit nervous; reshuffling the Myriad Heavens Battlefield was not the first time—just recently it had happened twice, and Little Mi had experienced it too, so such a strong reaction was unwarranted.

Hearing her speak with a bitter face: "Your Majesty, you don't know—I clearly sensed three powerful auras appearing within ten million kilometers; their strength is certainly not inferior to mine, and may even be greater!"

"Three… you mean the aura of Venerables?" Xiao Feng showed surprise.

"Yes! They are Venerables, and stronger than I!" the Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird declared firmly.

"Uh… it seems our neighbors are all powerful major regions." Xiao Feng not only gasped but quickly opened the world map to check.

Over the past few years, as players' strength increased, other battlefields gradually saw people signing Spirit Beast Contracts, bringing Venerable-level overlords into their cities to become guardian totems.

Some were subdued by force, such as the Evil Realm.

Others were won over through connections, such as the Abyssal Extreme Realm battlefield, which gained the support of Mo Long Lao Zu and now possesses a 2850-level super overlord as its guardian.

According to the earlier system announcement, including Rongjin City, there are now a total of twelve cities across the server that possess Spirit Beast guardians.

Yet this map update directly relocated three of them to the vicinity of Rongjin City—truly, one cannot tell whether it was intentional on the system's part or mere coincidence.

Upon opening the world map, the pattern of the Myriad Heavens Battlefield had completely changed.

Previously some maps were shrouded in mist, but now the entire map is fully visible, and all regional information has become transparent.

One terrain

Which battlefield a region belongs to, which city lies in between—all can be directly queried.

Furthermore, the map's scale has greatly shrunk; the various battlefields formerly scattered across different places have been compressed into an area of only a few hundred million kilometers, with four to five hundred thousand battlefields crammed together, leaving scarcely any monster maps.

"Look, the Nine Provinces Battlefield has become our neighbor! The Violet Dust Sisters can now play with us!" Dun Dun glanced at the map and suddenly exclaimed.

Xiao Feng also noticed.

Approximately 230,000 kilometers south of the border of the Chaos Divine Nation lies Xuanyuan City, and nearby are several cities belonging to the Nine Provinces Battlefield.

The two friendly battlefields were originally separated by hundreds of millions of kilometers, but now they have become neighbors with hardly any gap between them.

One of the three Venerable auras sensed by the Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird is likely the guardian of Xuanyuan City—a 2400-level human overlord, the Venerable Tianhe.

"Moreover, there are enemies nearby; the Abyssal Extreme Realm is not far off either, and they possess a region with a 2850-level super guardian." Qingfeng Yuyu saw the territory of the Abyssal Extreme Realm eight million li away.

Not only the Abyssal Extreme Realm; within a range of ten million kilometers there are still several other formidable alien battlefields, only fewer of them have Venerable guardians.

Besides the Venerable Tianhe and Mo Long Lao Zu, the third Venerable sensed by the Vermilion Flame Southern Ming Bird is likely the guardian of the Giant Beast Clan's Divine Corpse Continent region, located 3.6 million li to the east—a 2500-level Sun‑Devouring Demonic Light Peacock.

Xiao Feng looked at the map and laughed: "Within such a small range, four powerful"

"major regions; the other neighbors are surely going to cry."

Each battlefield's territory size varies according to the number of cities built and secret realms occupied.

Blue Star No. 8 belongs to a super‑large battlefield; besides the tens of thousands of kilometers of the Chaos Divine Nation, maps such as the Cuiwei Secret Realm, the Cangyuan Heavenly Grotto, the Darkflower Garden, the Sacred Dragon Cavern, and the Queen City have also been relocated and placed side by side.

The entire battlefield's territory covers roughly a 160,000‑kilometer‑square area.

The Nine Provinces Battlefield to the south also established an "Immortal Dynasty" comparable to the Divine Nation, with Xuanyuan City at its center, forming a near‑circular territory with a radius of 80,000 kilometers.

And a weaker battlefield, for example the "Third Party" located beside the Nine Provinces Battlefield and Blue Star No. 8 battlefield, is a medium‑sized battlefield named Ha Kong Star, possessing only two cities; even counting the surrounding affiliated zones, its territory extends only about a 10,000‑kilometer radius.

Given such a disparity in strength, the distance is also remarkably close.

One can imagine that in the near future many battlefields will swiftly be cleared out, once again suffering a "major reduction"!

"Have you noticed a problem?"

At this moment Jiang Ning suddenly spoke.

"What problem?" Xing Yun Miao asked her.

Xiao Feng looked at the map again, and his expression stiffened.

"Has the main base Teleportation Array disappeared?" he exclaimed in disbelief.

Jiang Ning nodded: "Yes, the main base is gone; now all the server's battlefields have been thrown into chaos, and the entrance to the Divine Realm seems to have automatically linked with our city, allowing a direct return from Rongjin City to the Yuan Su Shen Yu."

"But… if all the cities were destroyed, wouldn't there be nowhere left to resurrect?" Dun Dun frowned.

Qingfeng Yan

Yu: "Yeah, it seems the difficulty of elimination has decreased again, while the difficulty of survival has increased."

Previously, eliminating a battlefield required destroying all cities' allegiance, or wearing down Qi Luck and repeatedly slaying the lord.

And now, no matter how much Qi Luck remains, as long as all Chengshi are completely destroyed, there is no Teleportation Array that can revive, then directly announce elimination, all region players are thrown into the peaceful world.
