Chapter 84: Finally, Second Advancement

A tiny fireball flew out, and La Luo Na Er moved his foot, using his body to catch it.

Pop~

The fireball struck the old mage's body and instantly went out.

Xiao Feng opened his eyes and saw a -1 damage floating above La Luo Na Er's head, pathetically weak.

"emmm……"

Seeing this damage, Xiao Feng fell silent.

La Luo Na Er also fell silent.

"How…… how could this be, so weak?" the old mage expressed his incomprehension.

Obviously, a casual fireball earlier almost blew him up, yet now, with earnestly cast true magic, the damage is less than one ten‑thousandth of before?

Could it be that this seemingly peerless genius is actually an utter fool?

"Well…… I said it wouldn't work, but you still don't believe me," Xiao Feng said embarrassedly.

He also felt a bit helpless inside.

He had originally wanted to try a "nuclear fusion," but the high‑temperature, high‑pressure environment wasn't ready, and the fire element eagerly ignited on its own!

The grand plan died in the womb, with no chance to be used!

"This makes no sense, it shouldn't be like this……"

La Luo Na Er furrowed his brows, sinking into thought.

Xiao Feng then used his own skill, launched another fireball, and threw it toward the magma lake.

In an instant, a huge fireball 1.2 meters in diameter flew out, was tossed into the magma, and exploded in a spark.

Seeing the huge disparity between the two fireballs, La Luo Na Er grew even more puzzled.

After a long while, he sighed, "Perhaps your willpower hasn't been developed yet, so you can't control your true talent. Well, this can't be rushed; you need to gradually accumulate experience."

Xiao Feng secretly let out a breath of relief.

This meant the old mage had likely given up on continuing to teach him magic.

"Master, can you help me with my second advancement now?" he asked.

La Luo Na Er nodded, "Sure. Come over and take out your magic book."

"Okay, Master!"

Xiao Feng exclaimed excitedly, immediately took out the 【Weather Mage Secret Canon】, and ran pitter‑patter to La Luo Na Er's front.

He took the book, glanced at it, frowned, and said, "This book is incomplete."

"Uh…… yes, it's usable only up to the second advancement; the rest still needs to be found." Xiao Feng replied.

The original owner of this book, La Mu Si Te, had only the strength of a second advancement, and there was nowhere to learn Weather Mage techniques beyond the third advancement; later he'd have to find a way himself.

However, Xiao Feng wasn't worried either.

Anyway, he was strong enough that once he smoothly reached the third advancement, he could easily solo a mythic boss over level 200.

By then his leveling speed would slow, giving him plenty of time to slowly search for the paths to fourth, fifth, and even sixth advancements.

But……

La Luo Na Er didn't think so!

He had already taken Xiao Feng as his closed‑door disciple and valued him greatly.

The failure of elemental knowledge education would not affect his regard for Xiao Feng.

Upon realizing the book's content was incomplete, he said, "The second and third advancements will pass quickly; without a fourth‑advancement Weather inheritance, your later growth will be hampered. So, after you reach the second advancement, take my token and make a trip to the Flaming Temple; have the Flaming Archbishop— that little thing— communicate with the gods, ask the Weather God himself, and find the other half of his legacy left in this world."

Hearing this, Xiao Feng couldn't help but utter a holy shit.

He directly ordered the Flaming Archbishop to ask the Weather God!

"This cheap master's title really carries a lot of weight!"

The Flaming Temple Archbishop is, after all, a mythic boss over level 200, the strongest being of a city!

The Weather God, moreover, is a true deity!

La Luo Na Er actually called the Flaming Archbishop a "little thing"!

Moreover, his tone when speaking showed he wasn't very reverent toward the Weather God, a true deity, speaking of him as if he were just an ordinary passerby.

La Luo Na Er, just how strong is he?

Being a level‑200 mythic is definitely not his full strength!

If he didn't need to divert attention to suppress the magma lake, he'd likely be at least level 250!

"Close your eyes and feel the surrounding magic." La Luo Na Er began Xiao Feng's advancement.

His aged, large hand lightly pressed on the magic book, and an immense magical power surged forth.

The magic book burst forth with four‑colored light, shooting straight to the sky, just passing through the small hole above the magma lake and disappearing into the clouds.

"Weather magic is essentially a composite magic that combines magic with natural weather."

"The Weather God is a higher deity beneath the supreme god, wielding formidable four‑element magic, with countless lesser gods as disciples. If he descended to the mortal realm, his strength would not fall short of the supreme god's, possessing the power to destroy heaven and earth."

"Obtain this inheritance, study it well, and with your talent you will surely ascend to the Divine Realm."

"But what kind of god you become and how far you go in the Divine Realm depends on your own fortune."

La Luo Na Er closed his eyes and said in a low voice.

Xiao Feng silently memorized these words.

It seems the Weather God is still very formidable; although his level isn't as high as the supreme god's, in this "mortal" world the powers of all gods are suppressed, and what he can display equals the supreme god's, both being top‑tier.

And as a Weather Mage, he is naturally strong as well.

In the future, once his level rises, even without the "divine might" boost, he should still be able to contend with the inheritors of the supreme god's profession!

Whoosh~

Four-colored light descended from Tian Kong, rushing into Xiao Feng's brow.

Xiao Feng felt as if some power had been infused into his body, making him much lighter and his breathing easier.

At the same time, system notification sounds kept echoing in his ears.

「Ding~ Congratulations, you have advanced to a 2nd‑tier profession—Atmospheric Mage! 」

「Due to your profession advancement, your basic attributes have increased! 」

「Due to your profession promotion, your attribute growth rate has increased! 」

「Your exclusive talent【Weather Control】has been promoted, its effect enhanced! 」

「Ding~ You have learned the common mage skill—Fire Wall! (Creates a fire wall, dealing damage)」

「Ding~ You have learned the common mage skill—Water Shield! (Creates a water shield, blocking attacks)」

「Ding~ You have learned the common mage skill—Levitation Technique! (Removes control, brief flight)」

「Ding~ You have learned the Atmospheric Mage exclusive skill—Lightning Strike! (Continuously tracks a target to attack)」

A series of information prompts flashed by, and Xiao Feng was in high spirits.

Upon checking his attributes, the 2nd‑tier advancement directly granted him 20 Intelligence, 10 Constitution, and 10 Spirit.

The conversion rate of Intelligence and Spirit also increased, boosting his attack power and mana somewhat.

Of course, these are not the most terrifying.

The most terrifying is that the radius of the ultimate skill Apocalyptic Heavenly Disaster was originally 1000 meters.

After being amplified, it will become 11,000 meters!

Isn't that world‑destroying?

Without exaggeration, after advancing to 2nd tier, Xiao Feng's destructive power is already enough to rival any super‑large player faction at will.

Even if he wanted to attack the main city and demolish the temple, it might not be impossible!

What's more, he still hasn't learned skills from La Luo Na Er!
