Chapter 863: War Skills and War Equipment
Xiao Feng and Qing Long chatted for a while, learning about the functions of war equipment and war skills in the Shen Jie territory war.
At the beginning of this month, the system had already announced that there would be a territory war at month's end; the management interface of the guild's high-level officials showed many war skills, which can be released during the war by consuming Kill Intent Value.
Kill Intent Value: During the territory war, each kill of an opposing player grants 1 point of Kill Intent Value, usable for releasing war skills, can store up to 1 billion points, and can be retained until the next territory war.
There are a total of 10 war skills, namely:
Emperor: Heavenly Descent Divine Soldiers: Usable by the Guild Leader, consumes 50 million Kill Intent Value, immediately summons all guild members to the area around the user (those summoned cannot be in combat or dead state), cooldown 24 hours.
King: Reign Over the World: Usable by the Guild Leader and Vice Guild Leader, consumes 10 million Kill Intent Value, increases attack power of all friendly forces within a 10,000-meter radius (including other guild members) by 100%, lasting 30 seconds, cooldown 60 minutes.
King: Thorn Shield: Usable by the Guild Leader and Vice Guild Leader, consumes 10 million Kill Intent Value, gives all guild members of Elite rank and above a 100% chance to reflect damage and 50% reflected damage amount (no matter where they are), lasting 30 seconds, cooldown 60 minutes.
King: Heroic Spirits Rise: Usable by the Guild Leader and Vice Guild Leader, consumes 10 million Kill Intent Value, resurrects all fallen friendly players within 5,000 meters and restores 50% of their health and mana, cooldown 60 minutes.
Marquis: Heroic Armor: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, and Elder, consumes 5 million Kill Intent Value, increases defense of all friendly forces within 5,000 meters by 100%, lasting 30 seconds, cooldown 60 minutes.
Marquis: View Death as Homecoming: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, and Elder, consumes 5 million Kill Intent Value, adds a "View Death as Homecoming" status to all guild members; if killed within 10 minutes, instantly deals damage equal to 30% of their maximum health to all enemies within 10 meters, ignoring all defense attributes, cooldown 60 minutes.
Marquis: Blood Battle Undefeated: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, and Elder, consumes 5 million Kill Intent Value, increases attack and defense of all friendly players within 5,000 meters by 30% each, lasting 30 seconds, cooldown 60 minutes.
General: Blade's Direction: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, Elder, Hall Master, and Rudder Master, consumes 1 million Kill Intent Value, increases movement speed and attack power of all friendly players within 1,000 meters by 30%, lasting 30 seconds, cooldown 60 minutes.
General: Return to the Battlefield: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, Elder, Hall Master, and Rudder Master, consumes 1 million Kill Intent Value, resurrects all friendly players within 500 meters and restores 50% of their health and mana, cooldown 60 minutes.
General: Reward the Three Armies: Usable by the Guild Leader, Vice Guild Leader, Elder, Hall Master, and Rudder Master, consumes 1 million Kill Intent Value, immediately restores 80% health and mana of all friendly players within 1,000 meters, cooldown 60 minutes.
The effects of all 10 skills are very powerful, especially the King- and Emperor-level skills, which are practically heaven-defying!
The reason for dividing into Emperor, King, Marquis, and General tiers is that skills of the same tier share a cooldown; as soon as the guild's management uses a General-level skill, other management personnel cannot use any skill of the same tier for one minute.
General-level skills share a cooldown of 1 minute.
Marquis-level skills share a cooldown of 5 minutes.
King-level and Emperor-level skills together share a cooldown of 10 minutes.
The skill Xiao Feng fears most among these is Thorn Shield; once it's activated, he can kill himself with a small fireball.
Although the affected group is small, only players with the Elite title in the caster's guild, at most 10,000 people.
But keep in mind this is a Shen Jie territory war; the participating guilds number at least four or five thousand!
On average, it's estimated that each city will have at least tens of thousands of Elites!
Of course, releasing the skill is not easy either; 10 million Kill Intent Value requires killing 10 million opposing players—how easy is that?
Even the lowest-tier General-level war skill requires 1 million Kill Intent Value; who knows how long one must fight to accumulate that.
If an insider appears during the territory war and prematurely unleashes important skills, it could be disastrous, possibly directly causing a battle loss!
Under the influence of these war skills, even the strongest individual players will be restricted; only by multiple guilds cooperating, making good use of tactics and strategy, can victory be achieved!
During the territory war, players' deaths do not drop items or experience, and the Teleportation Array can be used for free.
It is worth mentioning that during the Shen Jie territory war, the Main City Teleportation Array is shut down; one can only teleport to nearby small cities more than 500 kilometers from the Main City, then run there oneself.
If killed without instant resurrection, one must mount a steed and run a long way to fight back.
This makes reinforcement much more difficult, highlighting the importance of the Emperor-level war skill Emperor: Heavenly Descent Divine Soldiers.
Besides skills, there is also war equipment.
War equipment mainly consists of three types: Resurrection Array, Anti-air Tower, and Siege Vehicle.
Once the Resurrection Array is established, guild members can resurrect nearby without having to run to a neighboring city 500 kilometers away.
However, this equipment can be destroyed; it has only 500 million HP, low defense, and can be torn apart instantly by a legion assault.
Anti-air Towers are used to defend cities; they can only be built in occupied cities and will strike down surrounding aerial units, whether mounts or flight techniques, directly shooting them down—no matter how fierce the mount, it's useless.
Of course, the strike range is limited; the higher the Anti-air Tower's level, the farther it can strike—a God-level Anti-air Tower can hit all aerial units within a 5,000-meter radius, including altitude, while low-level ones only reach 500 meters.
Siege Cannon Vehicles are quite common; they have thick health bars and a 98% damage reduction effect against players, deal high damage to buildings, and are specialized for dismantling ballistae and magic crystal cannons on city gates and towers.
The construction costs of these three types of war equipment are not cheap, often tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of divine stones; guild funds must be allocated wisely, otherwise bankruptcy is easy.
The Main City's Magic Crystal Cannons, Ballista Vehicles, and Catapult Vehicles are very cheap; after occupation, purchasing them from the system costs only a few thousand divine stones each, and buying several hundred at a time to fully stock defenses is affordable.
After learning some information about the territory war, Xiao Feng felt a bit of a headache.
He suspected the system was targeting him!
Anti-air Towers and Thorn Shield directly restrict him to death; once he bursts with output, he's very likely to die instantly.
Moreover, he cannot fly into the city; he must lead a large army step by step on foot to fight his way in.
Although he remains very formidable, wanting to dominate the battlefield single-handedly as in the Zhu Shen Da Lu territory war is now hardly possible.
But this is also good; pure crushing lacks any technicality, which would make him seem low in intelligence.
Hmm... Although his intelligence isn't high to begin with, at least employing some strategy and tactics in war is still quite interesting!
His individual ability can be used to challenge the Main God, sweeping through the Main Gods of the 24 Divine Nations, absolutely exhilarating!
I just don't know what the War Divine Nation will be like; Xiao Mi went out for training, could it be that the system will directly "snatch him back"?
