Chapter 1481
NO.97:Bi Ze 1.Return to Ordinary Life
How long does a person need to spend to see through the lies of life?
This problem varies from person to person and has no definitive answer, because not only are people's hearts like faces, each different, but also because the lies are countless, easily weaving a net that surrounds you, making them impossible to detect and leaving little time for a stable solution.
This is the magic of the two words 'life'.
It makes you subconsciously get used to the many unreasonable aspects, makes you used to skipping the line 'I have read and agree to the terms above', makes you used to saying 'Come over when you're free', 'Going to sleep, good night', 'This is the last round', then go on waiting for the person who said 'I'll be there right away', and ignore the friend who said 'I'm just looking, not buying', and so on, while you often don't realize it, you all are constantly deceiving each other.
Never having read the terms seriously, never truly wishing for the other party to visit, and never actually putting down the internet to sleep.
Even that so-called final round will be opened again and again because of the imperfect situation.
This is even more so the case of believing 'I'll be right away' and then endless waiting, as well as seeing that person say 'I'm just looking, not buying' but quietly swiping the double first recharge all over, like a sow.
You can of course say you're not like that, then cite a few or one of those cases to explain your true feelings, ignoring the lies you blurt out at other times because of the mindset 'Everyone does it, so I'm normal too'.
At this moment, you too become a lie encountered in someone else's life.
Humans are social animals, and the more social one is, the more opportunities there are to encounter lies woven by others.
Ordinary lies carry a high risk of being exposed, but those wrapped in the two words 'life' appear especially down-to-earth, especially ordinary, and thus differ.
They exist in a way that aims for little gain and contains no malice, so even if you see through them you still have a chance to fall again, leaving you powerless to talk about recognizing lies.
Of course, thick-skinned people can always boast.
Unlike Aomo, who, after seeing through the lies propagated by the Two Worlds Safety Bureau about the Executor, would frankly admit that he had been too idealistic initially, and upon actually obtaining the Executor's internal law-enforcement records would immediately be disenchanted.
Thick-skinned people will only be like David, shouting that they will never again be fooled by that prosthetic company, and then when the new model's functional components go on sale, you can again see the 'XX recently bought' marker through the shopping site's friend system.
That is even more deadly than a pre-order reminder, for at least with a pre-order you can't be sure whether the person will pay the balance later, whereas the records he sees usually show full payment, making it seem as if the other party is a big spender.
This is Dongyan slang, referring generally to the wealthy; Aomo has recently taken a liking to it, feeling it is less aggressive than a show-off yet sharper than simply calling someone rich.
Leaving aside the preference in wording, it's worth being happy that David has recently become much more restrained.
Aomo hasn't seen his name on the shopping site's prosthetic recommendation list for two months, and he doesn't rule out that he might have found a darknet-like channel of his own, which wouldn't sync purchase records to a private market for acquaintances.
Before the truth could be confirmed, the ensuing regret was that Bi Ze's name began to appear instead.
At this point someone might ask:
Isn't that guy a flesh-and-blood faction? Why would he buy prosthetic parts?
The person asking such a question probably forgot that Bi Ze also has an android girlfriend, and moreover a maid-model one.
As not just an XP-loving maid model, Ms. Zhuohua certainly has a lot to do, and indeed will pursue functionality.
And her master is quite casual, mainly pursuing a sexual function.
"How should I put this? Could you not order adult toys from Penguin Logistics? Uh……"
Looking at the silent customer, Aomo turned his head to glance at the recipient information on the package.
"Perfect Ultimate Mr. Geta?"
Although it's hard to pronounce, the recipient label indeed bears that title.
"……I… I only placed an order for the encrypted transport channel," the older senior-year high school student who raised his hand, apparently intending to request the parcel but somewhat hesitant, exclaimed frantically, "Who knew it would be handed over to Penguin Logistics!"
"You won't be able to receive the specific contents information of the goods, right? No way? This is an encrypted transport that even the courier themselves doesn't know about, right?"
He even raised both hands to rub his hair, thinking of some terrible possibility: "Who's in charge of assigning deliveries? Won't it be Ke Song? Or maybe Mositima? Or perhaps De——"
"Don't make me repeat myself," Aomo interrupted.
"Texas!"
Because of the repeated corrections, he could actually swallow the impolite player nickname 'Tex dog' more quickly, and Bi Ze immediately supplied the relatively formal title, then scratched his head: "Could it really be her? She found out it was me and then handed it over to you?"
"I'm afraid not; even I couldn't have guessed you were Geta, you might as well say you're a dinosaur person."
"That's going too far, brother."
"Is it not too much to have your brother deliver the adult prosthetic for you?"
Finally, no longer leaving the other party's hand hanging with nowhere to put it, Aomo handed the drawer-sized cardboard box to the other person's eagerly awaiting hands.
"Don't worry, the paper people you've liked won't know about this operation; I'm taking it on only because I noticed the purchase reminder on the shopping site."
"Ah?"
"And I also know what types of mail Penguin Logistics' encrypted transport channel mainly handles."
"Uh…"
"Finally, there's the screening of the delivery address…"
Seeing him speechless, Aomo simply finished speaking:
"With AI assistance, you just need to input the address and wait five seconds for a result."
"And coincidentally, I happen to owe Qiena a few invitations to work together."
"What a date courier," the instinct to complain pulled Bi Ze out of his daze, "Won't the Great Emperor point out this kind of office romance?"
"It doesn't hinder work efficiency either—I did deliver the item, didn't I? Remember to give a five-star rating, thanks, and for courier registration just select Texas directly."
"Isn't there Lin Dun?" Bi Ze hastily activated his phone to take a look, then exclaimed in surprise, "You still have to hand in your performance?"
"Lin Dun is just a temporary worker; no matter how you evaluate him, he won't become permanent, and there's no bonus," Aomo shrugged, "That's just the penguin's little belly."
"Really a little belly!" Thinking of the penguin's digestive tract, Bi Ze didn't know whether Aomo's comment counted as a dry joke.
During the swift receipt and evaluation, he glanced up and saw that the other seemed not to expect further evaluation, and the alien, feeling a bit embarrassed, put away the little thought of 'Was Aomo harmed by Rudolf?'
"All done, are you in a hurry to meet up with, uh, Texas?"
"Not in a hurry; Lappland is tailing me on the road, and right now is probably the time they're getting along, so I can go pick up that silly dog later."
"Saying this makes it unclear who your girlfriend is," Bi Ze said while turning his head to look for a paper cutter by the entryway, "But it's rare to be able to date like this with Texas, so does it matter if the time is taken up?"
"It sounds like you think I'll break up with Qiena soon."
"No, that's not what I mean; I'm saying, uh… well…" Bi Ze furtively turned his head to glance toward the living room, raised the cardboard box he had just cut open, and lowered his voice to a whisper: "How about things like uniform play? You don't mind that, do you? This kind of work time where even the boss has no objections is a perfect environment."
"I can't say there's none, but it's also not necessary."
"?"
"Isn't there a projection feature? You haven't tried it?"
"Huh? You can still do that?!"
Bi Ze understood, so he was greatly shocked, and then he heard his brother say calmly:
"There's also a dream server; you can rent a private one, prepare in reality, and in the dream anything is possible."
"Preparing in reality is……oh…oh——!!"
"Can you also grasp this quickly during class?"
"This isn't also being in class! Aomo sensei! Please guide me!" Bi Ze clasped his fists, and this person again forgot to keep his voice low, leaving Aomo unsure how meaningful his low voice could be.
"Sure, as long as you don't cause trouble later and don't let the teacher know."
"6, I always find it hard to believe you're German—I mean, a Baden person, right? Come in and have a seat?"
"And you keep emphasizing to me that you're a time traveler, letting me be sure this time I came correctly," Aomo followed him toward the living room, "but first put your package down."
"What do you mean?" Bi Ze, who had just run two steps, turned back, hearing the subtext that this person still had something to say: "Haven't you already taken those Uma Musume cards?"
"I've only recently bought the cards of Noble Lady, Durandal, and West Sahara Rio, and they're not in your imagined enemy range, right?"
One is currently hot, the other two have just had their first public interviews and haven't debuted yet; Bi Ze collecting their cards is only because the time traveler channel's trend is exactly the peak of secondary creation for those three in Uma Musume.
"Although I wanted to see what they wrote, that's also not the main purpose; I want to ask what you think about combining Uma Musume with monster power."
"If you're talking about combining Uma Musume with monster girls, I might understand a bit better."
"I think the maid should come clean up your brain."
"Bi Ze!"
As Aomo's words fell, a vigorous voice arrived holding a mop.
"Calm down! Zhuo Hua, calm down! Aomo is just joking, you didn't understand, right?"
"Even if you understood, you probably couldn't stop." The demon staring at the two people in a stalemate said gloomily.
"Don't add to the chaos!"
Regarding tonight's bedroom access rights, Mr. Bi also became firm, but his friend also cooperated, letting out a "miss" and then staying silent for two seconds, then immediately lifted his gaze from the observation table:
"We can't really waste time; do you have time to accompany me on a trip?"
"What?"
It's apparent that the alien, in alien matters, has high attack but paper defense; he can freely jump topics, but he's not good at handling a friend's sudden jump.
However, although he's not good at it, when it comes to talking about brothers, the two are hardly different.
So forty minutes later, Bi Ze will stand at the entrance of an Uma Musume monster enthusiasts exhibition, rubbing his chin, gazing into the distance for ten or so seconds, then once again let out a voice from his soul:
"What?"
