Chapter 718: Who are you waiting for?
Who are you waiting for?
February 25: Who are you waiting for?
The moon, the smile of night..
This is what I thought of when I was alone, killing time, gazing at the sky.
Whether success or failure, advance or retreat, pursuit or giving up; these are all the forms of our life. At that time, our childhood was like that spring brook, flowing forward while singing; we did not know that ahead lay a winding mountain path and thorns on that path; we only loved the future, loved walking.
In the process of walking, we tolerated others and forgot ourselves.
"Great time, ah, please tell me, who is waiting? Who are you waiting for?"
"In the face of time, no one should wait for anyone; time also does not wait for anyone. Please do not use 'yesterday had....' and 'tomorrow will...' to measure time, to recall life, to anticipate life; for the present moment, including yesterday's 'that which had been' and tomorrow's 'that which will be', as well as the forgotten and the anticipated."
"But now I understand: trees blooming in spring and fruiting in summer do not seek praise; falling leaves in autumn and withering in winter do not fear blame."
"Classic of Poetry person, ah, I still don't understand the meaning of your words: trees blooming in spring and fruiting in summer, is that not her ideal and pursuit?"
"Why does the flower have to wither? Is its withering for the sake of that future fruit?" The poet answered off the point to me.
The Classic of Poetry person paid no attention to me; is there anyone in the world who pays attention to me?
One spring morning, I continued on my own path; like the nameless flowers by the roadside, this world pays no attention to their beauty, yet they still bloom throughout the four seasons of the year.
