Turn silk into a colorful skirt.

March 15: Turn silk into a colorful skirt.

Specks of golden light sprinkled down from the clouds beside the setting sun; the setting sun is infinitely beautiful, although it is near dusk. —The spring flowers on the fence. I walked up to the fence and said to the spring flowers: "I love you; in love I found myself; love is the true scenery. Love is like these spring flowers, O people, 'We love each other not only in words and tongues, but always in deeds and sincerity.' 'This love arises from a pure heart and from a conscience lacking in defect, from sincere faith.'"

In the afterglow of the setting sun, I again realized some meanings of life: to love nature and humanity through one's own actions and sincerity.

Before the stars come out, before the stars appear, I must seize the time to work. I love labor, and I love laborers. Because 'All the happiness, progress, and wealth that humanity enjoys belong to the sacred hands of laborers.'

Thus I recalled a story from the Bible. The story says: A master was about to go abroad, so he summoned his servants and, according to their abilities, entrusted his estate to them. One received five thousand taels of silver, another two thousand taels, another one thousand taels. After dividing his estate among the servants, the master left.

The one who received five thousand taels of silver immediately took that money to engage in trade and earned another five thousand taels; the one who received two thousand taels likewise earned another two thousand taels; but the servant who received one thousand taels hid his master's silver by burying it in the ground.

After a long time, the master returned and settled accounts with the servants.

The one who had received five thousand taels of silver brought another five thousand taels and said to the master: 'Master, you entrusted me with five thousand taels of silver; look, I have earned another five thousand.' The master said: 'Good, you faithful and good servant, you have been faithful in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things; come and share your master's joy.' The one who had received two thousand taels also came and said to the master: 'Master, you entrusted me with two thousand taels of silver; look, I have earned another two thousand.' The master said: 'Good, you faithful and good servant, you have been faithful in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things; you may come in and share your master's joy.' The one who had received one thousand taels also came and said to the master: 'Master, I know you are a hard person; there is no place to reap where you did not sow, no place to gather where you did not scatter. I was afraid, so I went and hid your one thousand taels of silver in the ground. Look, your silver is here.' The master replied: 'You wicked and lazy servant, since you know that I reap where I did not sow and gather where you did not scatter, you should have put my money with the exchangers, so that when I returned I could have received it back with interest.'

The master thoroughly disliked this lazy servant. He drove him away. Because he could not create value for the world, such a person is of little use to the world. However he came and however he went; during his life he only knew his own food and drink, unaware of doing anything for others, of creating anything for the world and others..........

In the afterglow of the setting sun. I again realized the meaning of life: to labor and create ceaselessly for the world. We must turn 'cotton into shirts', 'fur into robes', 'silk into colorful skirts', 'discarded wood into children's cradles', 'use stone to erect statues, build houses, construct skyscrapers..............'
