Chapter 740: Love every part of spring

~3 min read 478 words

Love every part of spring.

March 19: Love every part of spring.

Night, quiet and still; the red moon hangs in the sky. 'Spring dreams scatter with the clouds, flying flowers follow the flowing water.' I wonder if the meaning of a spring dream is simply: a dream had in spring?

Spring dreams are surely beautiful: warm spring breeze, brilliant sunshine. Under the sunshine, bees and butterflies dance wildly among the flowers, birds chirp in the green shade of tender trees.

At this moment, 'If you give me a withered flower, I will keep it in my heart.'

But at this moment, the night is quiet, the stars and moon in the sky are also quiet; spring light comes silently into this quiet night, then slips away silently. In the departing spring light, there are more withered flowers. Withered flowers are also beautiful, although they are withered; all beautiful things are worth cherishing.

Every part of spring is beautiful, including the withered flowers. So, in my spring dream, I always hope someone gives me a withered flower. Even if that 'withered flower has thorns,' I can endure it.

Because, I love every part of spring.

Some call the withered flower 'withered red'; the Song dynasty person Su Dongpo, in his verse 'Flowers fade, withered red, small green apricots; when swallows fly, green water homes encircle. On the branches, willow fluff blows less; where on earth is there no fragrant grass?' refers to the withered flower as 'withered red'.

Calling the withered flower 'withered red' may be abstract, yet it gives a hazy sense of beauty, a beauty of 'seeming like a flower yet not quite a flower,' and it also gives more room for imagination. Of course, some also call the withered flower 'fallen red' or 'withered fragrance.' But no matter what it is called, it means the withered flower.

Writing on and on, there is no particular meaning.

In short, no matter what it is called, flowers inevitably wither; there is no flower in the world that never fades.

Tagore said: 'We are busy **, afraid of being stolen by passing wind.' Flowers bloom on branches, with roots and stems; while wind, rootless and stemless, comes and goes hastily. Poets, because they love flowers, worry that flowers will be 'stolen by passing wind',

Actually this is the poet's whimsical idea; this whimsical idea arises because the poet loves flowers. That person Xin Qiji, who cherishes spring, yet worries 'cherishing spring long fears flowers bloom early'.

The poet said: 'How beautiful spring is, let the flowers bloom a little later.' Once you bloom, spring departs. But no matter how the poet worries and prays, the flowers still bloom.

And then it fell——'How much more the countless fallen red.' This law of nature has its own law, and the law of nature will never change because of personal preference.
