For no reason, a day's sorrow spreads out; fortunately, an east wind blows it ten thousand li.

When will a man's worries be satisfied? He wants to look at the universe? rice.

He only attends to his own body and mind; the sun and moon in his chest are constantly new and beautiful.

For five hundred years now, fame has been in the world; all the lords are merely mediocre offspring.

Before Calm Wave Palace, friendships abound; Esteemed Bright and Opposite Horse are separated by a strip of water.

In the East Ocean, there are books to return with the damp sword; I return from the Cliff Lord.

This is not an ordinary person singing; it is like a Great Peng bird, when spreading its wings, singing to the vast sky: "The Great Peng rises with the wind in one day, soaring straight up to ten thousand li. If the wind ceases and it descends, it can still stir the waters of the vast sea."

The Great Peng wants to fly to a faraway place, so that everyone under heaven may come to behold its magnificent appearance.

The little sparrows flying in the thickets of dwarf trees mocked it, saying: "Why do you go so high? So far? Look at us little sparrows, we fly back and forth all day in the woods by the small river. When thirsty, we go to the river to drink a little water to quench our thirst; when hungry, we go to the small grove to find some grass seeds to fill our stomachs. Living in this tiny world, how happy we are!"

I also cannot understand the Great Peng's behavior: going to that distant place, where the mountains are high and the roads long, wind, rain, thunder, and lightning, one must endure much hardship, and even risk one's life.

Why go to that distant place? The distant place is forever so beautiful, so tempting?

In the West, a scholar once compared himself to a spider in the corner of a library wall. He thought himself very clever, spending all day toiling over the yellow scrolls, weaving the web of his brain's ideal state, pondering alone, extremely pleased and extraordinary. Perhaps this spider must spend its whole life crouched in that corner; it is born there and dies there.

The spider weaving its web in the corner is very confident, believing that all the beauty in the world belongs to it; in fact, it never realizes that it is merely an illusion lost in the mist, nor does it know its own insignificance and triviality.

Am I the spider in the library corner? Or am I the sparrow in the thicket of dwarf trees?

Ji Bolun once said: "You have your thoughts —— then follow them, wandering among ruins, mummy exhibition halls, and fossils; I have my thoughts —— to observe and soar in the clouds and mist." Yes, observing and soaring in the clouds and mist, although detached from reality, but to stand above reality and see the scenery, it must be very beautiful. Just like the Tang dynasty poet Li Bai, beholding the fairyland in the clouds and mist in his dreams, equally beautiful.

"The bird in the sky need not quarrel with its caged companion; you have your own world." The Great Peng that soars ninety thousand li has its own world; but the spider in the library corner and the little sparrows in the thicket of dwarf trees each have their own happiness.

This world, because of the Great Pengs, and because of the spiders and sparrows, is extremely beautiful, extremely interesting..........
