Chapter 778: Laozi is speaking about the law of life

~4 min read 755 words

Laozi is speaking about the law of life.

April 30: Laozi is speaking about the law of life.

Kongzi said to Laozi a lot of talk about fame and profit..

Although Laozi has also spoken of name, valued name. But the name Laozi speaks of is absolutely not the name pursued by ordinary people; it is a special name, also an intangible name. The name Laozi speaks of can be explained, yet cannot be clearly spoken. Laozi says the name he pursues, the "name" used to name the beginning of heaven and earth, is a name that is elusive and empty.

Laozi has spent his life pursuing the elusive, intangible things between heaven and earth. Ordinary people see and hear, but Laozi sees without seeing, hears without hearing. He wishes to return to a realm that is elusive, intangible, and absolutely still.

Laozi believes that only stillness is the foundation of the Dao. All restlessness and clamor have no connection to the stillness he seeks. He forever guards the stillness within his heart; Laozi believes only by guarding stillness can he maintain the purity within his heart. Stillness is the foundation of the Dao. He believes that stillness gives rise to movement, and movement returns to stillness; movement is relative, temporary, superficial, and empty. For example, the so-called fame and profit before our eyes are all temporary, like evening clouds and morning mist, things in a dream, not to be taken seriously, not eternal; this world has nothing lasting.

Because "All that has been will be again; all that has been done will be done again; under the sun there is nothing new. How can anyone say this is new? Who knows, in our former ages, it already existed. Past generations, no one remembers 【Future generations, later people will also not remember。】"

In Laozi's view, life should be collective action; the whole of humanity's life should be a single collective action within a certain time period. Since it is a collective action within a certain time period, everyone should be equal, with no fame and profit to contend over.

Isn't it said that when humans think, God laughs?

That God laughs, there must be a reason. Because God does not laugh for no reason. Since human life is a collective action, a life collective, therefore the ending and termination of that collective life accompanies the ending and termination of other lives in the world.

Other lives in the world are writing their own stories. This world is just so mysterious; anyone can fathom it. The whole Earth, including all star systems in the universe, whether planets or stars, contains a mysterious and sacred history; they are just like each person on Earth, no matter how humble or lowly that person is, nor how great or noble, they will have their own life course and their own story.

These stories intertwine, forming a world of vibrant colors and bustling noise. Laozi says, in this vibrant, bustling world, he has already manifested himself.

What exactly did Laozi see? Is it "Ah, life, ah light, you are precious! I have finally come to know you, this joy is also precious."

Knowing life is indeed a manifestation, manifesting the value and meaning of life: that is, life and light are forever united, life and light coexist. Knowing the value and meaning of life should be a joy.

Actually "Our life is merely an old burden, our road is not that long journey"; as time moves forward, these things are all to be discarded by the ages, turning into sand and dust, drifting in the vast historical spacetime, formless, shadowless, traceless.

Therefore, Laozi wants to reach the extreme of emptiness. And people should firmly guard tranquility. He says all things are constantly moving; in this process of moving things, I have observed their regularity: that is, although natural things are myriad and diverse, they ultimately each must return to their place of origin.

This origin is stillness.

This stillness is both the end of life and its beginning. Returning to the beginning of life is an eternal, unchanging law. Knowing this law is wisdom; not knowing this law is foolishness, clueless ignorance. And clueless ignorance makes one prone to danger. While understanding this law enables one to embrace everything.

Being able to embrace everything results in impartiality and selflessness.

Being impartial and selfless accords with heavenly principle and nature, accords with heavenly principle; thus in speech and conduct one will not encounter danger, and can peacefully complete one's life course.....
