In these six stages, Kongzi believed that youth was mainly about "setting one's heart on learning", learning being the main thing. The ancients had the verse: "If one does not strive in youth, in old age one will only grieve in vain." Encouraging youths to strive themselves, to struggle themselves, to strive themselves, to surpass themselves. **Also once advised the youth: You young people, full of vigor, like the sun at ** o'clock in the morning, hope rests upon you. If one does not strive in youth, there will be no hope. Tai Ge'er once thus encouraged himself saying: ―――――

Kongzi said of himself "At fifteen I set my heart on learning"; although at fifteen he knew learning was good, he began to awaken――――

My heart, hey!

Staying alert,

Don't get caught in the vortex of emptiness!

Thinking about those boring things,

Saying those boring words!

Being those beautiful witches in life

Intoxicated

My friend!

Get up,

The morning light has come,

Want to wash your overnight soul.

The poet says

That successful flower

People only admire her present brightness and splendor!

However, her sprouts originally,

Soaked in the spring of struggle's tears,

Spread all over the traces of sacrifice's blood.

When you appreciate others

When you appreciate others, at the time of beautiful flowers

When awakening

Your life will also

bloom such beautiful flowers

Don't envy others,

Envy yourself!

Don't admire others,

Admire yourself!

Kongzi saw his student Zai Yu sleeping in broad daylight, got very angry, and rebuked him saying: "Truly rotten wood cannot be carved! 1" Zai Yu ah, others can strive, why can't you strive? Aren't you a human? Are you a pig? Knowing eat then sleep, sleep then eat? Zhu Bajie, muddleheaded egg, only knows eating, drinking, playing, and having fun truly comfortable? Kongzi seeing Zai Yu like this not genuine thing muddleheaded egg, can he not be angry?
