Chapter 14: The New Customer Barbara

~3 min read 552 words

"Are you two alright?"

Seeing the two descend from the air, Amber hurried over, her eyes full of concern.

"We're fine, and we've already driven off Dvalin!"

Paimon said they were amazing, that just the two of them had been able to handle it.

Lumine crossed her hands on her hips and gave Paimon a helpless look.

She had been the one fighting the whole time, after all.

"Lumine, you were incredible just now — being able to summon such a huge azure dragon!"

Amber's gaze at Lumine was full of admiration.

That scene in the sky earlier — she had seen every bit of it clearly from the ground.

Even now there was still a trace of disbelief on her face.

From their earlier introductions, Amber already knew Lumine's abilities came from manga.

And that she could fly.

But she had thought that was all there was to it.

Who knew she could also control wind and form such an enormous dragon!

Its body was even larger than Dvalin's.

It had driven him straight off.

If only she could obtain such power too — then she could do so much more for the Knights of Favonius.

Lumine felt a little embarrassed.

If it were only her own ability, she wouldn't have been able to defeat Dvalin.

Just staying in the air was already a huge problem.

She hadn't expected the Wind-Wind Fruit's offensive power to be this strong either!

And all of this was thanks to Boss Han.

Being able to enter Boss Han's little shop was her good fortune.

What followed was the same as the original plot — Kaeya arrived at the spot.

Under his and Amber's lead, Lumine and Paimon met the upper echelons of the Knights of Favonius — Acting Grand Master Jean and Lisa.

After a detailed chat, everyone also learned the full story of what had happened.

Their hearts shaken, they also grew curious about that manga shop that had suddenly appeared.

But the pressing matter at hand was still to deal with the Dvalin situation first.

So Acting Grand Master Jean asked Lumine to take care of it.

Originally Lumine and Paimon had planned to go read manga that afternoon.

But then they remembered the boss said you could only read one volume a day, so even going would be pointless.

So they agreed to it.

After all, reading manga still cost quite a few Mora — if they could earn some bonus from the Dvalin incident, that would be even better.

After seeing Lumine off, the Acting Grand Master's office fell into silence.

After a long while.

"Being able to obtain rewards from manga just by reading it — what a truly astonishing shop."

Leaning on the armrest, Lisa's tone was somewhat languid, but the doubt in her eyes remained.

As the librarian of the Knights of Favonius, in a sense she could be considered the most knowledgeable person in Mondstadt.

Yet she had never heard of such a thing.

The same went for the other nations.

But judging from that little cutie's performance, it didn't seem fake.

A massive azure dragon really did appear in the sky!

It really is baffling.

Probably only by seeing it in person would one understand.

"If this is true, then for Mondstadt it is an opportunity."
