Chapter 1293: Mid-month ticket request for a single chapter, plus a recent work update (main text already updated)
Mid-month ticket request for a single chapter, plus a recent work update (main text already updated).
I'll report a few things.
First, I've been away recently and just got back. There are quite a few typos; I'll try to fix this. Often, when I write the characters myself, even if the order is wrong, I don't notice. Well, please bear with me; I'll check each character. But it's still unlikely to have zero typos; I'll try to keep them to a minimum.
It's not an attitude issue; I've just been exhausted lately.
Second, about linear versus multi-threaded narration.
The recent chapters are just an experiment. When I was in college I read ***'s Funeral; I found its narrative structure interesting and sophisticated, and I always wanted to try it. But after trying it myself, I think it's not great.
It somewhat overshadows the main story, because my writing skill isn't enough, and also because web fiction doesn't allow dual protagonists.
From now on I'll abandon this attempt and focus the perspective on Zheng Lao Ban.
If you enjoy reading it, I'm satisfied. My little personal touches are better left out.
Well, the Fat Sheep Alliance said it seemed like nothing was written. I've given this deep thought. Running two plot lines simultaneously, with double the buildup, is indeed my mistake. It's not a printed book, so reading it all at once wouldn't matter much, but for web fiction, writing it this way slows the pace.
For web fiction, this kind of narration isn't suitable; leave it to the experts. A nobody like Zao Lao tou zi shouldn't even dream of it.
Third, following the monthly routine, I should release an extra chapter tomorrow and ask for monthly tickets. But having written up to this point, I feel it's awkward to break here, so I changed it to release the extra chapter today.
It's not a ghost story, just an illness. It won't shift from urban to fantasy, nor to horror.
Third, the surgery I gave Dr. Mei Ha'er doesn't exist clinically, to my knowledge. To put it bluntly, it's my imagination. In a high condensation state, drug regulation is ineffective; the doctor should die soon.
After all, it's fiction—Zheng Lao Ban is just that awesome, capable of doing it.
Well, that understanding is enough. A friendly reminder: fellow writers, don't criticize this—I know. Ordinary readers, don't take it as real… otherwise Zao Lao tou zi would be laughed to death.
That's all.
Mid-month now, I'm asking for monthly tickets. In the plan, an extra chapter on the 21st of the late month, asking for monthly tickets. At month's end, three days of extra chapters, final push.
Well, I've rambled enough; let me shout loudly: monthly tickets~~~
