1380 Does He Really Understand?

"Old Li, in a moment you call Da He out, we'll speak frankly with him." Su Yun said.

The office was silent; nobody spoke.

Qi Xiao Juan's lover, that Da He, Lv Zong had just seen. A burly big man, his face full of vicious aura.

If his emotions lose control, without ten or eight people, we probably can't hold him down.

Even if we hold him down, can we hold him for a lifetime?

"Speak nicely; if that doesn't work, we still have to tell Da He to sign the surgery consent first. As for your marital matters, you settle them yourselves afterward. Whether it's divorce or whatever, it's none of our business." Su Yun said.

"What if he kicks up a fuss?" the chubby boss still had worries.

"If I were here alone, I'd probably have to use heavy force. But isn't the boss here? The two of us can handle him; he won't be able to toss around." Su Yun said: "You didn't bring a knife, did you?"

"Come to see his wife, what knife would you bring?" The chubby boss glanced at Zheng Ren and Su Yun's builds, compared them to Da He, and was somewhat doubtful.

"Hurry up; wait for his emotions to stabilize before getting the signature." Su Yun said: "We can talk until dawn; the patient's belly is still gurgling with bleeding."

"Alright, let's do that." The chubby boss, somehow finding courage, directly agreed.

Lv Zong still wanted to wait for the security department people to come up before speaking, but thinking of the patient's condition, he also had no idea.

Since someone has an idea, we might as well follow it.

Whether blind obedience or trust, in this dilemma, when someone steps up with an idea, others will follow.

Su Yun looked at Zheng Ren, silently asking for his opinion.

Zheng Ren thought it over carefully; although this method isn't said to be great, it at least can solve the problem.

If Da He really refuses to sign and just walks away, we could get the Medical Department people to do a video, and the hospital administration stepping in would be enough.

Either way, it's far better than the patient's lover being in the hospital unaware.

What we need to do now is to suppress him at the instant his emotions erupt.

Should be fine; after considering all possibilities, Zheng Ren nodded.

"Then I'll go call the patient's family." Lv Zong stood up and said.

"I'm timid, I'll withdraw first." The chubby boss gave a wry smile: "Yun Ge'er, Zheng Lao Ban, please bear with me. Tell me how much money Da He's surgery will cost if he agrees, and I'll go wait at the payment counter."

Zheng Ren smiled, waved his hand, and let him leave.

A restaurant boss being able to pay the fee is already not bad; as for anything more, what could be done?

But why does the hospital have to deal with these messy affairs?

Sigh, there's nothing to be done; Zheng Ren sighed in his heart.

Soon, Da He, with a fierce look, followed Lv Zong inside.

He's about 1.8 meters tall, weighing over 200 jin, with little flab. Although it's only April, he wore just a gray tank top; as he moved, his muscles bulged, exuding a sense of strength.

Da He's complexion was dark, with several horizontal folds on his face; his glare looked like a fierce demon.

"Yun Ge'er is here, huh? Zheng Lao Ban is here too!" Da He, upon entering, blinked and greeted.

"Sit down and talk; come, sit on this side." Su Yun smiled, patting the chair between him and Zheng Ren, and said.

Da He didn't expect any problem and simply sat down.

Lv Zong saw the towering man sitting between Zheng Ren and Su Yun, still feeling unsafe; she shifted toward the door, glanced at it, and then hesitantly began to speak while holding the pre‑surgery consent form.

But Da He didn't show the abnormal expression I'd imagined; he forced a pleasing smile on his face.

Although his appearance is especially fierce, he is very worried about his wife's condition.

In Da He's view, it seems the more humble he is, the happier the doctors will be, the better the surgery will go, and the faster the postoperative recovery.

He did everything he could.

Zheng Ren saw Da He's expression and condition, yet didn't let his guard down; he remained fully alert, sitting silently to the side.

Feeling Da He's humble emotions, I was a bit surprised, but my heart felt heavy.

None of the serious scenarios I'd imagined occurred; Da He quietly listened to the surgery explanation and asked about the risks.

Lv Zong was also a bit surprised; although she deliberately weakened some key terms, the word "pregnancy" isn't exactly clear, is it?

I don't know what's best; as long as the consent is signed, just having the surgery go smoothly is enough.

Being a doctor is not only physically exhausting but also mentally draining.

A few minutes later, Lv Zong finished the explanation and also gave Da He some clarification. The surgery risk is not great, but there might be a need to remove one fallopian tube.

This is a destructive surgery; it might affect future fertility. But Da He doesn't care about that; he just repeatedly asks whether the surgery can be completed safely.

On that point, Su Yun took over the conversation.

He told Da He, the surgery doesn't come with a 100% guarantee, but he himself will go up to see, striving for everything to be fine.

Da He's honest and humble smile never changed; in the end he looked at Su Yun with a pleading gaze, silently begging him.

"Come, sign." Lv Zong felt a huge weight lift; she took out various consent forms and placed them on the table: "This is the authorization letter, this is the medical record consent, this is the communication consent, this is the pre‑surgery briefing."

A pile of written text left Da He dazed.

He held the pen, grinning, and said: "Doctor, I barely know any characters; can I just press a fingerprint instead of writing?"

"I'll write; you just trace over it." Su Yun patted Da He and said.

"Thank you, Yun Ge'er." Da He grinned.

Su Yun wrote down all the characters the patient's family should write, and Da He copied them stroke by stroke.

Finished!

Several people let out a breath of relief.

Who would have thought the problem would be resolved in such an uneventful way—just wondering whether Da He really understood?

Never mind who's right or wrong; doctors are supposed to heal and save lives—when a person lives, the doctor's duty… MD, Zheng Ren cursed in his heart, is this really a doctor's duty?

Although I think that way, feeling a bit stifled, after all the problem was solved.

Preoperative preparations were already completed; Lv Zong took the medical file folder and directly took Qi Xiao Juan to the Operating Room.

Zheng Renhe and Su Yun stood in the hallway, seeing Da He earnestly comforting Qi Xiao Juan by her side; his honest smile, no matter how you looked at it, was more pleasing than that handsome young man.

After they were sent into the Operating Room and the door closed, Zheng Renhe and Su Yun finally truly relaxed.

"Da He, wait here; we'll change clothes and go in to take a look." Su Yun said with a chuckle.

"Yun Ge'er, thank you for the trouble. Zheng Lao Ban, thank you for the trouble." Da He didn't know how to express gratitude, merely giving each of them a Jiu Gong.

The sturdy man did a Jiu Gong like a broken tree, and a feeling of helplessness spread in Zheng Ren's heart.

The two went downstairs; Su Yun took out her phone and called Ai Pang Lao Ban, then led Zheng Ren to the place to pay the hospitalization deposit.
