Chapter 2325: 2047 21 Items (Alliance Master Approved Nickname Doesn't Exist Extra Chapter 1)
Dahungya finished telling how he went into the mountains to catch bats, but deliberately did not mention the later "little ghost knocking on the door" trick.
Seeing a doctor, why ask so many details? At the very least Dahungya thought that.
"I wasn't bitten by a bat, I was careful, I know bats might carry rabies virus." Dahungya said, paused slightly, wanting to hear what Zheng Lao Ban thought about bats.
"Why did you go into the mountains to catch bats?" Su Yun suddenly asked.
"Uh..." Dahungya was speechless.
It really felt like being taken to a police station—not caring about the condition, only caring what he had done. He wanted to cry but had no tears, speechless.
Zheng Ren's eyes were sharp as a knife, staring at Dahungya.
"I... I..." Dahungya was at a loss for words.
"No, bat... bat saliva contains a substance that can be used for anticoagulant therapy. Also impossible, you, a medical troublemaker, couldn't possibly know this much. Even if you caught bats, you lack equipment to refine it." Su Yun began to ponder.
Zheng Ren smiled slightly.
He knew Su Yun was doing it on purpose, seeing worms crawling on Dahungya's eyes, deliberately delaying time.
"Yes! Bat feces are also called night-ming sand; Chinese medicine says it has the effect of clearing heat and improving vision. I say, Captain Huang, are you using night-ming sand to treat your eyes?" Su Yun spouted nonsense.
Su Yun's words sounded plausible, but upon closer thought, even Zheng Ren could tell without thinking that he wasn't explaining the condition, but was trying to scare Dahungya.
The eggs and transmission routes of conjunctiva-sucking threadworms have nothing to do with fecal transmission, and this parasite has no relation to bats.
From Dahungya's expression, Zheng Ren basically understood that this guy was surely starting to think up something harmful again, which is why the terrifying symptom of worms crawling out of his eyes appeared.
"You still won't tell the truth?" Zheng Ren asked gently.
"..." Dahungya hesitated a bit.
"Boss Zheng, Yun Ge'er, shift change!" Lin Yuan knocked on the door outside.
"Think about it well." Zheng Ren threw down a sentence and turned to leave.
"Boss Zheng, you are a doctor, a physician's benevolent heart." Dahungya said with a full-face smile, softly.
"Oh, then go register first." Zheng Ren said offhand, directly went out to attend the shift change.
"Tsk tsk, worms crawling out of your eyes, and you're not even anxious—truly admirable psychological quality. Is this murder or arson? Nothing is worse than having worms bore into your eyes." Su Yun added as he was leaving.
Dahungya stood helplessly in the treatment room, feeling bitter inside. The last time he came to see a doctor, Boss Zheng's words still rang in his ears.
He didn't dare to overly slander Boss Zheng, after all seeing his demeanor, curing the worms shouldn't be that difficult.
Treat the illness first, talk about later things later.
After shift change, during rounds Su Yun asked: "Is it conjunctiva-sucking threadworm?"
"Yes."
"Is this guy keeping dogs? Or are there too many flies at home?"
"Dogs in the city rarely have conjunctiva-sucking threadworms. Considering it's still related to going into the mountains, maybe he was infected then." Zheng Ren said.
"What's up? What were you guys doing just now?" Lin Yuan asked curiously from behind.
Gu Xiao Ran also wanted to ask, but he didn't have Lin Yuan's courage, just quietly listening at the back.
"None of your business." Su Yun said, "Anyway, I'll look for a... never mind, let Dahungya pay himself. It's just a disposal anyway."
"What exactly is going on?" Lin Yuan still didn't understand.
Zheng Ren didn't answer either, started making rounds. Including Zhao Wenhua's ward, the Medical Team's Bed Position in the Intervention Department had expanded greatly. Patients recovered quickly; after a look around, Gu Xiao Ran sent patients to Shou Bing, while Zheng Ren went to the treatment room.
"Boss Zheng, I'm telling the truth, I'm telling the truth." Dahungya said hurriedly as Zheng Ren walked in.
Lin Yuan froze upon entering, seeing a lecherous-looking middle-aged man she had seen twice before, with a worm hanging from his left eye, telling a story…
This scene was eerie to the extreme; Lin Yuan estimated she would never forget it in her lifetime.
Dahungya quickly explained the "little ghost knocking on the door" trick, emphasizing he was just joking.
Zheng Ren sighed, wondering how some people are just born to enjoy these ghostly tricks.
He coldly stared at Dahungya, saying that joking around is nonsense; without profit, could Dahungya rashly go into deep mountains and forests, plus stay up late to toy with people?
But looking at the conjunctiva-sucking threadworms crawling on his eyes, Zheng Ren also felt helpless. He hurried to cure this guy, then let him get lost.
Just seeing this guy annoyed him from the heart.
"Lidocaine, change the dressing." Zheng Ren said.
Su Yun had prepared everything; Zheng Ren had Dahungya lie down, then put on gloves, peeled back Dahungya's left eyelid, and dropped the saline-diluted lidocaine solution into the eye.
Lin Yuan originally thought the earlier scene would be unforgettable for life, but what appeared afterward… was the beginning of the nightmare.
After the saline-diluted Lidocaine drops entered the left eye, Zheng Lao Ban used tweezers to pull out the conjunctiva-sucking threadworm, placing it in the nearby tray.
And more white worms crawled out from hiding.
The white worms, as if hearing some summons, struggled to crawl in the corner of Dahungya's eye in a short time.
That scene was like maggots crawling in a rotting corpse in a zombie movie. The key is… the "corpse" still moves, still speaks.
Lin Yuan felt a bit nervous, palms sweating. She tried to clench her hands tightly, suppressing the urge to bite her fingernails.
"Tsk, so many worms. Boss, you say his talent—should he go to Nanyang? Raising worms with his body, Captain Huang, you're also a genius." Su Yun said with a chuckle.
Zheng Ren didn't say a word; although the tweezers in his hand were large, they didn't affect his operation.
One by one white worms were pulled out, placed in the nearby tray. The worms looked tiny and fragile, yet suffered no damage, crawling around in the medicine-changing tray.
Su Yun counted them with interest on the side.
"21!" Su Yun finally said, "Just a bit short! Captain Huang, you're just a bit short!"
"Huh?" Dahungya was a bit dazed; he didn't know what happened, but the white mist before his eyes vanished, obviously much better. He could clearly feel that.
"What's missing?" Lin Yuan also didn't understand, so she asked directly.
"The most ever found in one eye is 21 worms; if Captain Huang raised just one more, he could publish a book."
