Chapter 2937: 2737 Professional Level

~7 min read 1,227 words

"Boss, I've finished talking with Hua Nuo Pharmaceutical. They'll rush over soon; we'll slowly work out the contract, and the medicine will be brought right away." Su Yun returned and first discussed proper business with Zheng Ren.

"Hmm." Zheng Ren wasn't particularly interested; he just lightly nodded.

Su Yun went to chat casually with the patients and their families, while the doctors in the office continued working. The workload of 912 is quite heavy; if one doesn't want to delay getting off work and going home, working is quite arduous.

After nearly an hour, Su Yun's side was lively chatting with the elderly person, and Zheng Ren truly didn't understand why he had so much to say.

If it were me, I'd probably not know what to say after just a couple sentences. The term "awkward chat" is like a dark cloud constantly looming over Zheng Ren's mind. Of course, if it's work, Zheng Ren would still grit his teeth and push through.

After so many years as a clinical doctor, he certainly wouldn't have wasted his time.

"Doctor Zheng, greetings." A person in formal Western attire appeared at the doorway, politely bowing before speaking.

"Mr. Yuehanxun, please come in." Although Zheng Ren saw only a mosaic, having had prior contact and some expectation, he recognized the voice as that of Hua Nuo Pharmaceutical's executive, stood up, and spoke politely.

"It's an honor that you accept our company's proposal." Yuehanxun strode in, enthusiastically extending both hands, expressing his feelings to Zheng Ren.

Zheng Ren smiled, raised his volume, and asked, "Did you bring the medicine for treating the parasites?"

Yuehanxun is also that sort of lively person; he turned and said something in English, and immediately three young men in black suits and sunglasses walked in.

Although wearing sunglasses indoors is odd, the person in the middle had a metal ring handcuffed on one hand, with the other end attached to a black, square briefcase.

Setting aside anything else, just this appearance is quite professional.

Zheng Ren greatly appreciated Su Yun's way of handling things in his heart, and also felt increased favor toward Yuehanxun.

Put bluntly, this is acting; seeing through but not exposing it, one can still focus wholeheartedly on performing the act well, displaying a side of professional black technology.

Although Bota's genuine black‑tech hospital looks anything but professional—more like a holiday sanctuary—I don't think it matters; what's important is that the patient believes it's real.

Yuehanxun input his fingerprint, then his voiceprint, but the box still didn't open; a device popped out, and after he entered his iris information, the box finally opened.

The patients looked dumbfounded; a gleam shone from their previously dull eyes.

He is already quite old, probably never having seen a movie. But this scene before him completely shattered all his psychological doubts, and in an instant his heart beat a little faster.

Yuehanxun opened the box; inside was a soft shock‑absorbing layer and an inlaid …

A syringe gun leapt into view, and there was also a bottle of colorless medicine inside.

"Only the last bottle of medicine remains." Yuehanxun said, "Doctor Zheng, Doctor Su, I've brought professional staff."

"Then come on in." Su Yun said with a cheerful laugh.

He was also quite satisfied; at the time he felt his request was excessive, yet he never expected Yuehanxun to raise his demand to another level.

This isn't just fooling a patient with parasitic delusion—it's practically acting in Hollywood.

Professional, truly professional—Su Yun even shouted happily in his heart.

A middle‑aged woman walked in, took off her outerwear, and wore a standard nurse uniform underneath. She had an S‑shaped figure, alluring and graceful. She put on a cap, and, like in a cosplay, followed Su Yun's guidance to the patient's side.

"Old Han, listen up." Su Yun gave a reminder.

The patient was already bewildered, watching this scene—what could he possibly say!

The nurse spoke in English; after she finished, a translator beside her simultaneously rendered it into the Di Du dialect.

The gist was just to get the injection, don't be nervous, and so on. Although simple, the simultaneous interpretation displayed a certain professional air, further altering the patient's perception in his heart.

The syringe gun drew the medicine, disinfected the left shoulder's deltoid, and the nurse silently gave the patient a shot.

It didn't hurt, and it seemed he felt nothing at all.

The injection time was extended to thirty seconds; after finishing, the nurse professionally handled the sharps and put the syringe gun away.

Yuehanxun knew the act was over; although he didn't understand what identity this seemingly ordinary elderly person had, or why glucose was being injected, he knew this was the request of Doctor Zheng and Doctor Su.

He didn't need to know why; he only needed to perfectly fulfill their request.

Looking at their expressions, Yuehanxun knew his task completion was very high, even saying it was perfect.

"Doctor Zheng, if there's nothing else I'll not disturb you." Yuehanxun bowed and said, "Regarding the independent director matter, I will continue to stay in touch with Doctor Su. If you have any needs, please don't hesitate."

Zheng Ren glanced with the corner of his eye at the already bewildered patient, then escorted Yuehanxun all the way out of the ward.

For such a long‑term patient who has become a doctor through illness, trying to fool them is really difficult! Zheng Ren sighed to himself.

Fortunately I didn't reply early to Hua Nuo Pharmaceutical; this time, following this matter, I summoned Yuehanxun to complete a psychological treatment.

I kept sending Yuehanxun up to the elevator before waving farewell. Yuehanxun was also very happy; this time Doctor Zheng's attitude was much more enthusiastic than before—different by countless light‑years.

After seeing Yuehanxun off, Zheng Ren laughed and said, "What did you tell him?"

"I just gave a rough idea; I didn't expect him to prepare so formally. Just that box alone is probably worth two to three hundred thousand dollars." Su Yun laughed.

"This time your old patient ought to believe it, right?"

"He already believes it; if he didn't believe after such a performance, where would heaven's reason be?!" Su Yun said with a laugh.

"What medicine are you planning to give next?"

"Long‑acting pimozide, how about that?" Su Yun asked.

"Fine, take it orally for a while and see. But you must control the drug's dosage and such; keep pressing me about it." Zheng Ren reminded.

"Hey, this is my old patient; you're worrying a bit too much, aren't you?" Su Yun said displeasedly.

"Just saying something casually."

The two spoke while heading back to the office.

The patient had already dressed and was ready to leave; upon seeing the two enter, the elderly person reached out and shook hands firmly with Zheng Ren and Su Yun.

"Old Han, this medicine works especially well with hardly any side effects. Today the worms died, were digested by the gastrointestinal tract, and were expelled with the bowel movements. Since they can be digested, you won't see the worms being passed out." Su Yun said.

"It's no longer itchy." The elderly person said excitedly.

"All right, but you still need to take some medicine when you get back. You ought to listen and not constantly dwell on thoughts like 'I can't do this.'" Su Yun kept reminding.
