Truce. What did Shalltear do?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Death's expression softened as she leaned in closer. \"After you slept with Shalltear, I summoned her to my domain, and the first thing she did after seeing me was to equip her battle armor and start attacking me.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Seriously?\" I asked, incredulous.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Seriously.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"But didn't she know you are Death? Like, the actual embodiment of Death?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Yes,\" Death replied, her eyes twinkling with amusement. \"She knew exactly who I was.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Then why did she attack you?\" I asked, still baffled.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"She thought she could become the first wife after defeating me.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I burst out laughing, unable to contain myself. \"She actually thought she could take your place by defeating you in combat?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Death nodded, a wry smile on her lips. \"She's very determined, I'll give her that.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"And how did that go?\" I asked, still chuckling.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Oh, it was quite the spectacle,\" Death said, her eyes sparkling with mirth. \"She gave it her all, but obviously, she was no match for me.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Did you at least let her down easy?\" I asked, picturing the scene.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Of course,\" Death replied. \"Once she realized she wasn't going to win, she was quite apologetic. We had a long talk about her feelings and her place in your life.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I can imagine,\" I said, shaking my head with a smile. \"Shalltear always was the overprotective type.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"She's fiercely loyal, that's for sure,\" Death said. \"And she needed reassurance that her place in your life was secure.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I'm glad you were able to help her,\" I said sincerely. \"Shalltear means a lot to me, and I want her to feel secure.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Well, she certainly proved her loyalty,\" Death said with a chuckle. \"After things calmed down, she was very respectful.
